Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - The Joyous and Fortunate Family

Once upon a time, there lived a young couple in the countryside. A woman named Avery, and a man named Aiden. They have been together for five years. At last, they were married a month ago. They are about to welcome a new member to the family.

One day, the couple went out for a brief exercise (walk) around the village. On a sunny morning, Avery suddenly stopped walking. Aiden asked, "My dear, why did you stopped? What's wrong? Are you feeling hurt?"

Avery replied saying, "Oh, I'm fine! Everything is alright, dear. Aiden, look! There is a cat lying underneath the tree." Aiden glanced at the direction. Then he said, "Avery, let's take this cat home. What do you thank?" Avery responded, "Are you sure about this idea?" She continued, "What if the cat's owner cannot find it when he/she comes back here?" Aiden responded, "Yes, I'm sure about this idea. The cat looks cute! Well, this poor cat seemed to be placed here by its owner. If someone comes by to look for the cat, then that's the time we give the cat back." Avery said, "Ok, that seems like a good idea. What about… if the cat is still here tomorrow, we will bring it home. What do you think?" Aiden said, "Great! Please wait for me here. I will go back to the house to get some food for the cat. I'll be right back quickly." Avery responded, "Sure. I and the cat will wait here for you. Go ahead, dear." After the conversation, Aiden went back to the house. While Avery sat on a bench near the tree.

After some time, Aiden came back with some food held in hand. He took the food out of a paper bag. Then he placed it on a paper plate, and placed it in front of the cat. When the cat saw and smelled the food, it meowed and ate it. The cat seemed hungry for so long. Both Avery and Aiden felt happy when they saw the cat eating. The cat came near to their feet and used its body to touch them and meowed. It seemed like the cat is saying "thank you for the food" to them. Then they bade goodbye to the cat and went back inside the house.

When they entered the house, Aiden let Avery rest on the sofa. Aiden went off to a room. Then he went back to the living room carrying a box, paper bags, art materials, and decorative materials. Avery asked, "Aiden, what will you do with these things?" Aiden answered, "Oh, this box is for the cat. The other materials are for the renovation of the children's room. In order to welcome the new members, I decided to decorate the bedroom, as well as arrange and organize the house." After explaining the purpose of the objects that Aiden brought, Avery volunteered to help. Aiden agreed, but he did not allow her to touch the scissors nor any sharp objects.

The next morning, as soon as Avery wakes up, she slowly goes downstairs and heads to where Aiden is. When Avery saw Aiden sitting in the dining room, Avery asked, "Hey, Aiden. Do you think the cat is still underneath the tree?" Aiden responded, "Maybe. Let's wash our faces, eat breakfast, and brush our teeth first, and then check if the cat is still there." Avery nodded and agreed to what he said. They went off to the bathroom to wash their faces. After that, they went off to the dining room to eat breakfast, then brushed their teeth. Then they went outside the house to look for the cat. When they arrived at the tree where they found the cat yesterday, they were surprised that it was still there, sitting quietly. They felt very happy! Aiden asked and pleaded, "Now, dear. Will you allow me to bring the cat home? Please?" Avery answered, "Ok, dear. Since we made a promise yesterday, I will agree that we can bring it home." Aiden carefully placed the cat in his hands, then they headed towards home. Now, the cat is part of their family.
