Chapter 1 - chapter 2. the wishper in the hallway

Elena's hand froze on the door handle.

Her heart was beating so loudly she felt like the whole house could hear it. The shadow behind the door had moved… she was sure of it.

For a few seconds, everything became completely silent.

No breathing.

No footsteps.

Nothing.

Elena slowly pulled her hand away from the door. A strange fear began to grow inside her chest. She wanted to run back to her room, hide under her blanket, and pretend none of this was happening.

But something else inside her was stronger than fear.

Curiosity.

She leaned closer to the door.

"Hello…?" she whispered softly.

No answer.

The hallway felt colder now. The yellow light from the staircase flickered slightly, making the shadows on the wall move like dark waves.

Elena swallowed and slowly pushed the door open.

Creeeak…

The room inside was almost completely dark.

It looked like an old storage room filled with dusty boxes, broken chairs, and covered furniture. A thin layer of dust covered everything, as if no one had entered the room for years.

Elena stepped inside carefully.

"Is someone there?" she asked quietly.

Still no answer.

Just as she turned around to leave—

She heard it.

A soft whisper.

Right behind her.

"...Elena…"

Her entire body froze.

Her name.

Someone had whispered her name.

Slowly… very slowly… she turned around.

But the room was empty.

The boxes, the chairs, the dusty furniture—everything looked exactly the same.

No one was there.

Her breathing became faster. She felt a chill run down her spine.

Then suddenly—

Thud!

The door behind her slammed shut.

Elena jumped in fear and rushed toward the door, trying to open it.

But it wouldn't move.

It was locked.

And from somewhere in the dark corner of the room…

She heard the whisper again.

This time a little clearer.

"Don't open… the other door…"

Elena's eyes widened.

What other door?

She slowly turned her head toward the far side of the room.

There, hidden behind old boxes and a torn curtain, was a small wooden door she had never seen before.

And beneath that door…

A shadow slowly began to move.
