Chapter 228 - *Chapter 227: The Power of the “Forest Beast”*

After the main fleet from Tide Stone set sail, the fleet from Silver Crown City slowly left the port, with Sendroth and Skyfire covering the massive transport fleet below, one on each side.

Rhaegor did not want to pay for Daeron's grand expedition, which he was not entirely confident in, but as a vassal of the Targaryen family, the Varezes family was obligated to send troops.

Originally, according to Dragonzel's intention, only two dragon knights, Dan and Jacaerys, would be enough to show the family's sincerity, but Rhaegor was not at ease with his younger brothers, so he still dispatched three hundred Silver Blood Army elites led by Innis Longder, the son of Lord Aslan Rondell, forming a four-hundred-man army with the younger sons of Borderlands nobles participating in the expedition.

The Silver Fleet dispatched twenty-three warships and ninety large transport ships, their destination being Bloodstone Island in the Stepstones. King Daeron's army would resupply in Tyrosh before heading to Bloodstone Island to rendezvous with the Silver Fleet.

The dragons would give Ricca Lacron a surprise.

Two dragons soared high in the sky, with three five-hundred-oar behemoths at their core. The Varezes family's three-hundred-oar and two-hundred-and-fifty-oar warships were divided into three teams, arranged in a triangular formation, protecting the clumsy large sailing ships in the center.

The wind was favorable, and the currents were also in an advantageous state. Near Gray Terror Island, Prince Lucerys Martell led the armies and fleets of two Dornish princely domains to rendezvous with the Silver Fleet.

Gray Terror Island, Shenyin Tower.

Meral Yangyan stared blankly at the two dragons soaring through the clouds and the fleet gathered near Gray Terror Island. No one knew what he was thinking until the two dragons disappeared into the boundless blue sky, and Meral Yangyan finally snapped out of his daze.

A long silence followed.

He was well aware of his own origins; the news brought by those strange guests had revealed to him whose son he was.

Aegon, whom history books had branded as the Usurper, was not thoroughly purged by Jacaerys I, and Aegon II also ignored the issue. But Viserys always remembered. He continued his father Prince Daemon's instructions: in all current historical records, the Usurper Aegon was a foolish individual, ambitious but untalented, greedy, ignorant, and debauched. He, along with his evil and cruel brother Aemond, his greedy and shortsighted mother Queen Alicent, and his ambitious grandfather Otto Hightower, incited a rebellion that caused heavy losses to the Targaryen family.

Meral Yangyan knew that if his father had not "rebelled" or had "rebelled" successfully, he too would have ridden his own dragon, just as he had seen moments ago—he truly once had a dragon egg.

Unfortunately, after Queen Helaena voluntarily became a nun, their dragon eggs were confiscated.

Meral Yangyan remained silent for a long, long time. Finally, this man, no longer young, whose silver-gold hair—once the pride of the Targaryen family—had almost entirely fallen out, sadly pulled out a bottle of wine from his bedroom and chugged it down.

While Meral was drowning his sorrows in alcohol.

Mollora Wuneibaer, the Volantis man stationed on Gray Terror Island, also saw the massive fleet crossing the sea from afar.

"By the gods above." The Volantis man immediately realized what this fleet represented. "They're actually serious?"

The Volantis man's shoulders trembled; no, his whole body was trembling.

War is chaos, and chaos is opportunity.

They had finally found that opportunity.

Mollora almost immediately stopped what he was doing. He had to find Aeryal right away and have him inform the Tiger Party's high command through his intelligence channels.

True dragons had arrived in the Disputed Lands.

Volantis's opportunity was coming.

Bloodstone Island.

The Baratheon family had granted two families fiefs on this island, but now, their erected castles were engulfed in flames.

"Lycario, you're not dead yet." Lord George, bruised and swollen, was forced to kneel by two turbaned pirates in front of the white-haired "Pirate Queen" Lycario. "You're not wearing women's clothes anymore? Haha, or did your 'wives' find you old and unattractive?"

This once-renowned pirate had now become an old man with atrophied muscles. The Pirate King who once loved cross-dressing was gone; now, Lycario wore a loose silk robe, with leather armor in key places, looking more like an old pirate.

"Who are you?" Lycario didn't recognize this Lord of East Bloodstone Island. He searched his mind for a long time but couldn't recall who this Lord George was.

"Damn it!" Lord George cursed, "Seven Hells! Lord Royce and the lords of King's Landing and Dragon Nest City won't let you off! His Majesty the King and His Highness the Prince's fleet have already set sail; they will avenge me soon. You wait for the wrath of the dragons, you pirate who deserves to go to hell, you worm of the earth, you ram-fucking bastard, you piss-drinker—".

The warrior, who had distinguished himself in the Stepstones War and was ennobled, was cut short as Lycario's scimitar slit his throat.

"Hang him on the coast." The former Pirate King looked at his former stronghold with a touch of melancholy and sighed deeply. He waved his hand, ordering his subordinates to drag Lord George's body away.

"Captain, aren't we retreating?" A big pirate, wearing what was clearly newly plundered chainmail, emerged from the ruins with a disappointed look. "This place is too poor, there's not even gold."

"Let's go back to the ship first." Lycario closed his eyes and waited for a moment before speaking somewhat indistinctly.

His subordinate pirate spat and grumbled a few times about how poor this place was before gathering the pirates to retreat back to the ships.

Behind them was a dense array of pirate ships.

Lycario watched the pirates happily returning to their ships, then suddenly sighed. He looked at the stronghold where he had spent decades, sighed again, cut off his pirate braid, and threw it to the ground. Only then did he turn and head back to his ship without looking back.

The Pirate Kings of the entire Crying Coast formed an alliance. Upon receiving the news, they immediately began preparations for war and quickly formed a pact, with the elderly Lycario serving as commander.

"Damn it, I'm dying." Lycario spat, "And they still make me do this suicidal job."

He knew very well what this pirate fleet would encounter, but he still came.

He came with one hundred and seventy pirate ships.

This massive pirate fleet destroyed the Stormlands' small fleet on Abyss Island, then swept straight in, destroying the two noble families on Bloodstone Island before the island could even react.

Blood soaked the small island.

Just as Lycario and his men were boarding their ships.

Above the clouds, Dan, who was responsible for scouting ahead, discovered the fiercely burning Bloodstone Island and the dense pirate fleet below the clouds.

"Sendroth, let's go back." Dan grabbed the handguard, slowly pulled it up, signaling to his companion that they needed to return and report.

But Sendroth sent back a signal of "refusal."

"Burn, can burn. Fight."

Sendroth let out a hoarse dragon roar and did not turn as Dan commanded.

"Sendroth, obey." Dan said in High Valyrian, "There are too many enemy ships; at least wait until Skyfire arrives."

The dark green dragon suddenly let out a roar so low that Dan could barely hear it.

"Thornbird. Come!"

Followed by a low dragon growl: "Can… burn."

"This…" Dan thought for a moment, but at some point, Dan felt as if his blood was burning.

He had the same feeling as his companion.

"Alright, Sendroth, fight freely, and protect yourself."

"Roar!"

Dan pressed his body tightly against the dragon saddle. Seeing that his companion had secured himself, Sendroth let out a thunderous dragon roar.

The pirates all heard it.

And then they saw the coming of the apocalypse.

The clouds across the entire sky turned green, and then, ghastly green flames rained down from the heavens. Three pirate ships that were relatively close to each other instantly burst into raging infernos.

Everyone was screaming.

Lycario suddenly looked up at the sky: "Archers, ballistas, what the hell are you doing? Volley, volley! It's a dragon, a dragon!"

The aging Pirate Queen kicked over a sailor and operated a ballista herself.

Sendroth's massive, antler-like dragon horns were the first to emerge from the clouds.

Then came the entire body of the ferocious dragon. With a gentle flap of its wings, all the spears were swept away.

The dragon swooped down, lighting up one warship after another like candles. Lycario watched helplessly as the spears he had shot were blocked by Sendroth's massive dragon wings, and then the warship beside him erupted in a deafening explosion.

The pirate ships had no time to weigh anchor and escape; they could only watch helplessly as one warship after another was ignited by Sendroth.

Yet this dragon, whose dragonflame was incredibly accurate every time, was also extremely cunning. It deliberately flew towards one warship, then suddenly turned when another warship, panicking, gathered with friendly pirate ships, ensuring that every stream of dragonflame could burn down at least four or five pirate ships.

Lycario suddenly smiled.

"Come, dragon, give this old woman a glorious death!"

He was going to die, but a great pirate could not die in bed; he should die on his own ship.

And to die by dragonflame was even greater.

Sendroth finally burned his flagship.

The new Queen Lycario was instantly incinerated by dragonflame into a ghastly green blaze.

The entire Bloodstone Island coast was engulfed in a ghastly green inferno. By the time Skyfire arrived and breathed a blast of blue-gray dragonflame.

There were only a handful of unburnt warships left.

And the Silver Fleet was still slowly sailing towards Bloodstone Island.

"Dan, why did you act on your own!"

Jacaerys looked somewhat surprised at his younger brother on Sendroth's back. In his impression, his brother was never so reckless.

Dan sighed as he patted Sendroth, who had clearly enjoyed her fiery rampage, and spread his hands.
