Driven by Magnus's completely shattered will, the world-destroying psychic storm transformed into a cosmic beast of pure destruction and malice, ready to devour everything in its path.
Wherever the storm passed, space was stripped away layer by layer, and the laws of reality were wantonly twisted.
Contained within it was everything Magnus had learned in his life—thousands of vicious curses and unpredictable psychic tricks from Ancient Terra, alien civilizations, and even the depths of the Subspace.
This power was enough to twist any full-strength Space Marine chapter, in the instant of contact, along with their armor, into unspeakable Chaos Spawn.
It was enough to make a lifeless planet, under the baptism of the storm, 'grow' wailing flesh and weeping eyes out of thin air.
This was the most extreme destruction that a Primarch, a top-tier Psyker master, could unleash after descending into complete madness!
However, facing this impending apocalyptic scene, enough to make even gods change color,
Leticia just stood quietly in place.
Her pure black divine robe did not flutter in the slightest.
Not a single strand of her long, jet-black hair that reached her ankles was lifted by this violent energy.
"Big Sister!"
In Fogremia's deep purple eyes, a trace of nervousness flashed for the first time.
She subconsciously took a step forward, the magnificent longsword named "Morning Star" already unsheathed, ready to use her perfect power of [Divine Charm] to block this ugly and violent attack for Leticia.
Angronia had already held that huge chainaxe across her chest, her amber pupils burning with [Battle Intent], ready to charge in at any moment and split that crazed one-eyed giant in two.
However, Leticia stopped them with just a glance.
"Step back."
Her voice remained calm and waveless, as if the apocalyptic storm before her was truly just an illusion.
"This is a duel of 'knowledge'."
Seeing that Leticia did not dodge or evade, a flash of cruel and tyrannical gratification crossed Magnus's crazed single eye.
He wanted to see her regret it!
He wanted to see her face, so calm that it was loathsome, reveal fear and pleading the moment it was torn into shreds by thousands of spells!
He wanted to make this existence, who dared to humiliate him with the word "incompetent," taste the most painful and thorough death in this universe!
Just one second before the psychic storm was about to touch Leticia,
Leticia slowly raised her eyes.
Hum—!
The moment she raised her eyes, the whole world seemed to lose its sound and color.
Her pair of pure black eyes, which were originally as calm as an eternal deep pool, were completely lit up at this moment!
Within them, one could no longer see any emotions belonging to mortals.
Replacing them were two nascent, brilliant nebulae containing the birth and death of billions of stars and the flow of cosmic laws!
Her Authority of [Knowledge]—[Eye of Truth], was fully activated!
Under the gaze of the [Eye of Truth], the psychic storm outside, which was incomprehensibly complex and irresistibly violent to mortals, had all its mysterious veils torn to shreds in an instant.
It was no longer a roaring beast, no longer a shifting trick.
It was reduced to its most naked, primitive, and essential form.
Streams of energy flow.
Models of individual spells.
Paths of changes.
Thousands of seemingly complex spells, their core energy nodes, and their most fragile structural links were presented clearly before Leticia, like diagrams in a textbook.
There were no secrets to speak of.
"So... that's how it is."
Leticia let out a soft sigh of slight realization in her heart.
So, this is the "magic" of this universe.
Complex, bloated, and full of useless structures and fancy disguises.
Just like a beginner using thousands of parts to build a simple model that only needs a few dozen parts to run stably.
Full of... "imperfection".
The next second.
Leticia extended a fair, slender finger.
That finger was as perfect as a work of art carved by the gods themselves, with rounded fingertips emitting a faint glow.
She just casually tapped the violent void in front of her.
"Deconstruct."
She softly uttered a word.
A simple word, without any energy fluctuation.
With her will, and with the fall of her finger.
In the vision of the [Eye of Truth], the core, most critical, and also most fragile energy conversion node that constituted that massive psychic storm—a spell model constructed by Magnus with all his life's learning, like the foundation of a building...
Silently, it collapsed.
Just like the most critical block being pulled out.
Just like the first domino falling.
A chain reaction occurred instantly!
Amidst a deafening roar, that world-destroying psychic storm, less than a meter away from Leticia, that roaring cosmic beast, disintegrated instantly under everyone's gaze!
It did not explode, nor did it cause any destruction.
It just... fell apart.
The thousands of spell models that composed it, after losing the support of the core node, clashed and annihilated each other, finally disintegrating completely in less than a thousandth of a second, reverting to the purest, most primitive, colorless psychic particles, dissipating into the air like a gentle spring rain.
Pfft—!
Magnus was struck hard.
His immensely huge body flew backward violently, slamming heavily onto the edge of the pyramid, creating a huge crater in the solid platform.
A mouthful of scalding golden blood, composed of pure psychic energy, sprayed wildly from his mouth.
He struggled to lift his head, staring fixedly with his single eye at the black figure who was still standing in place, without even a corner of her clothes ruffled.
The madness, anger, and tyranny in his eyes had vanished without a trace at this moment.
Replacing them was an extreme, pure, and indescribable... fear.
And, a complete, unadulterated... bewilderment.
He had lost.
He had poured everything he had learned in his life, all his pride, and all his understanding of psychic energy into that last attack.
That was his strongest and final trump card.
However, the opponent...
The opponent didn't even use any spell he could understand.
She just... took a look.
Then, extended a finger.
And reduced everything of his, the meaning of his existence, and all his dignity as a Psyker master, completely, into nothingness.
"Impossible..."
Magnus knelt in the ruins, muttering to himself in a daze.
"This... is impossible..."
His pride, his pride as a Primarch, his pride as a top-tier Psyker, was completely, cruelly, and utterly shattered at this moment.
Just as his spirit completely collapsed, his soul's defense dropped to freezing point, the rift to the Subspace in the sky opened again, and Chaos God Tzeentch's tentacles were about to take advantage of the situation to completely devour his shattered soul,
A voice suddenly rang out across the entire burning battlefield.
It was a pure, warm voice, yet it carried a supreme will that seemed to come from the very source of bloodlines.
