Chapter 11 — The Sixth Mythic
The hospital room had suddenly become… lively.
Sarah and Anya stood on either side of Lucas's bed like two mischievous wolves who had just found their favorite target.
And that target was currently standing awkwardly near the door.
Elvanor August.
The Ice Saint.
One of the strongest hunters in the entire country.
A woman feared by monsters and respected by nations.
Right now—
She looked like a shy high school girl.
Sarah crossed her arms with a smirk.
"So."
Anya leaned forward, smiling mischievously.
"So."
Lucas sighed quietly.
"…Why do I feel like I'm about to get interrogated?"
Sarah pointed directly at Elvanor.
"You."
Elvanor blinked.
"…Me?"
"Yes you."
Anya circled around Lucas like a shark sensing blood.
"You came here."
"Dressed like that."
"Looking like that."
"Blushing like that."
Sarah nodded seriously.
"And you expect us not to ask questions?"
Elvanor's cheeks flushed faintly pink.
"I… just came to check on him."
Sarah gasped dramatically.
"Oh my God she's already worried about her man."
Lucas rubbed his temples.
"…Please stop."
Anya walked closer to Elvanor.
Then whispered loudly.
"So when's the wedding?"
Elvanor froze.
"…W–What?"
Lucas groaned.
"I regret surviving the dungeon."
Sarah grinned.
"Relax Ice Saint."
She leaned closer.
"Just answer one question."
Elvanor hesitated.
"…What?"
Sarah pointed at Lucas.
"Do you like my brother?"
The room went completely silent.
Even Lucas blinked.
Elvanor's brain shut down.
Her face turned bright red.
"…I—"
Her mouth opened.
Closed.
Opened again.
Lucas watched calmly.
Then shrugged.
"…You can say no."
Elvanor suddenly straightened.
"I do."
Silence.
Sarah and Anya stared.
Lucas blinked slowly.
Elvanor realized what she had just said.
"…!"
Her face turned crimson.
"I— I mean—"
Sarah clapped loudly.
"GOOD!"
Anya pumped her fist.
"Finally!"
Lucas raised a hand.
"…Hold on."
Sarah ignored him.
"Alright Ice Saint."
She pointed at Lucas.
"Take him out."
Lucas blinked.
"…Excuse me?"
Sarah nodded confidently.
"You two are going on a date."
Elvanor froze again.
Lucas looked between them.
"…Did I miss a vote?"
Anya leaned toward Elvanor.
"You're strong."
"You're pretty."
"You saved our idiot brother."
Sarah nodded.
"You pass."
Lucas sighed.
"…I wasn't aware my sisters were the dating committee."
Elvanor gathered her courage.
Then looked directly at Lucas.
"…Would you… like to go out with me?"
The room became quiet again.
Lucas studied her for a moment.
Then shrugged casually.
"…Sure."
Elvanor blinked.
"…That easy?"
Lucas smiled faintly.
"You seem nice."
Sarah screamed internally.
Anya silently celebrated.
---
Across the city.
Inside the towering headquarters of the Holy Grail Guild.
The strongest guild in Japan.
A man sat behind an enormous desk.
Silver hair.
Sharp eyes.
An aura that could crush most hunters effortlessly.
Sir Lidion.
S-Rank Hunter.
Guild Master of Holy Grail.
The strongest hunter in the country.
A large holographic screen floated before him.
Displaying a simple report.
Lucas Dilihavia.
Age.
Background.
Rank history.
Dungeon incident.
Lidion leaned back slightly.
"…Interesting."
A man in black armor stood beside him.
His bodyguard.
"Sir?"
Lidion tapped the screen.
"E-rank hunter."
"Suddenly clears an S5 double dungeon."
The bodyguard nodded.
"Yes."
Lidion's eyes narrowed.
"That level of feat…"
He tapped the desk lightly.
"…belongs to Mythic rank hunters."
The room grew quiet.
Lidion closed the file.
"We'll wait."
The bodyguard looked confused.
"…Wait?"
Lidion smiled calmly.
"Yes."
"The Hunter Association will reevaluate him soon."
"If he truly is Mythic…"
His eyes gleamed slightly.
"…then Japan has just produced a monster."
---
Meanwhile.
Lucas walked down a busy street.
Hands in his pockets.
Casual.
Relaxed.
Completely unaware that half the hunter world was about to lose its mind.
The Hunter Evaluation Center stood ahead of him.
A massive white building.
Crowds gathered outside.
Cameras.
Microphones.
News vans.
Lucas frowned slightly.
"…What's going on?"
As he approached—
He realized the crowd surrounded someone.
A tall man in sunglasses and a stylish coat.
Perfect hair.
Perfect smile.
Lucas overheard reporters shouting questions.
"Mr. Ren! How does it feel to awaken as an A-Rank hunter?!"
"Will you continue your acting career?!"
"What guild will you join?!"
Lucas blinked.
"…Oh."
The man was apparently a famous movie star.
And now an A-rank hunter.
The reporters were losing their minds.
Lucas walked past the crowd casually.
Then something strange happened.
People suddenly felt it.
An invisible pressure.
A subtle wave of presence.
Lucas's aura brushed across the crowd.
The movie star froze mid-sentence.
His smile stiffened.
His body instinctively trembled.
"…?"
He couldn't explain why.
But someone nearby felt… dangerous.
Lucas walked right past him.
Completely uninterested.
The reporters barely noticed.
But several hunters in the crowd turned suddenly.
"…Who was that?"
"…Did you feel that?"
Lucas had already entered the building.
---
Inside the Evaluation Center.
The atmosphere was calmer.
Professional.
Lucas approached the front desk.
A young attendant looked up.
Then froze.
Her eyes widened slightly.
"…Oh."
Lucas smiled politely.
"Hi."
She stared.
Then quickly composed herself.
"Welcome to the Hunter Evaluation Center."
She cleared her throat.
"…Are you here for reevaluation?"
Lucas nodded.
"Yes."
She typed his name into the system.
Then paused.
"…Lucas Dilihavia?"
Lucas nodded again.
"That's me."
The attendant looked up.
Her cheeks turned pink.
"You're… incredibly handsome."
Lucas blinked.
"…Thank you?"
She hesitated.
Then quickly grabbed a small paper.
"Would you maybe… like to exchange numbers?"
Lucas scratched the back of his head.
"…Sorry."
He smiled politely.
"I'll pass."
The attendant looked slightly disappointed.
"…Understood."
She handed him a card.
"Room 7."
Lucas walked away calmly.
---
Room 7 was enormous.
Reinforced walls.
Massive mana measuring equipment.
Three officials waited inside.
One of them spoke.
"Lucas Dilihavia?"
Lucas nodded.
"Stand on the platform please."
Lucas stepped forward.
The machine activated.
Mana sensors surrounded him.
Energy readings began climbing.
10,000.
50,000.
100,000.
The officials leaned forward.
200,000.
400,000.
One technician whispered.
"…That's impossible."
The numbers continued rising.
700,000.
900,000.
Then—
The system froze.
Alarms blared.
The room filled with flashing red lights.
The main evaluator stared at the screen.
"…Mythic."
Silence.
The room had just confirmed it.
Lucas Dilihavia.
Mythic Rank Hunter.
One of only six in the entire world.
But the numbers told another story.
The raw output suggested something terrifying.
If ranked purely by power—
Lucas would be 3rd in the world.
The evaluator slowly looked up.
"…Congratulations."
Lucas blinked.
"…Thanks."
---
Minutes later.
The announcement went public.
Every major hunter network broadcast it.
BREAKING NEWS:
Japan has produced its first Mythic Rank Hunter.
Lucas Dilihavia — Age 24.
Across the city—
Phones rang.
Screens lit up.
People stared in disbelief.
Inside a small café—
A young woman nearly dropped her drink.
She stared at the screen.
"…Lucas?"
Her cheeks turned pink.
Her childhood friend.
The boy she grew up with.
"…You idiot."
She smiled softly.
"…You finally did something amazing."
---
Meanwhile.
Thousands of kilometers away.
Inside a massive skyscraper in America.
A giant man sat behind a luxurious desk.
Golden hair.
Massive frame.
Eyes like a predator.
Thomas Andrea.
The World's Number 1 Mythic Rank Hunter.
His secretary finished reading the report.
"…Lucas Dilihavia. Newly confirmed Mythic."
Thomas smiled slowly.
"…He's young."
The secretary nodded.
"Yes sir."
Thomas leaned back.
Then laughed.
"He cleared an S5 double dungeon?"
The secretary nodded again.
"Yes."
Thomas stood up.
His aura filled the room.
"…Book a flight."
"To Japan."
The secretary blinked.
"…For diplomacy?"
Thomas grinned.
"…No."
"I wanna scrap hands with the new kid."
---
Back in Japan.
Lucas exited the evaluation building.
The sun was setting.
He stretched slightly.
"…That was easy."
A man suddenly stepped in front of him.
Tall.
Elegant.
Powerful.
Sir Lidion.
Lucas looked at him.
Then walked past.
Completely uninterested.
Lidion blinked.
"…Hm."
Lucas kept walking.
His bodyguard stepped forward.
"…Sir?"
Lidion tilted his head.
"…Did you introduce me?"
The bodyguard nodded.
"Yes."
Lidion watched Lucas's back as he walked away down the street.
Then he smiled slowly.
"…I see."
The bodyguard frowned.
"…What does that mean?"
Lidion chuckled.
"It means…"
His eyes gleamed slightly.
"…the boy simply isn't interested in weaker beings."
The end..
