Chapter 1 - Cahapter 01( Alive Again)

Jenny's eyes snapped open.

White.

Everything was white.

The ceiling. The walls. The sheets beneath her trembling fingers.

Her body felt heavy… aching… unfamiliar.

For a moment, she couldn't breathe.

Then memory crashed into her mind.

The blade.

The betrayal.

Her brother's cold smile as he watched the life drain from her eyes.

She had been the rightful heir to the Vampire Throne. The chosen one. The only obstacle standing between him and absolute power.

So he killed her.

A perfectly executed assassination.

No witnesses.

No mercy.

No hesitation.

And yet—

She was alive.

Jenny slowly lifted her hands in front of her face.

They were smaller.

Softer.

Different.

The nails were plain. The fingers delicate but unrefined. Nothing like the elegant hands she once had—hands worthy of a royal heir.

Her heart pounded.

No… this isn't possible.

Her gaze scanned the room.

Clean walls.

Medical equipment.

The faint scent of disinfectant.

A hospital.

Wasn't I dead?

Her thoughts turned sharp.

Don't tell me… I transmigrated like those ridiculous novels I used to laugh at?

Her lips twitched in disbelief.

That was impossible.

And yet she was breathing.

Living.

In another body.

She forced herself to sit up.

Pain shot through her head.

She winced.

The reflection in the metal tray nearby caught her attention.

Long hair, but not her color. Softer features. A weaker presence.

This wasn't her body.

Whose life did I steal?

The door opened.

A man in a white coat stepped inside, smiling gently.

"Hello, Clara. You're awake. How are you feeling?"

Clara?

Jenny's eyes narrowed.

He was talking to her.

So this body belonged to someone named Clara.

"Are you speaking to me?" she asked carefully.

"Yes, Clara. How do you feel?"

She studied him.

Calm. Ordinary. No hostility.

"…I guess I'm okay."

"Good. You shouldn't climb trees again. You were lucky this time. Since you don't have a wolf like the others, you must be extra careful. Your healing ability is limited."

Jenny froze.

Wolf?

Her blood ran cold.

Her instincts flared.

No.

No.

No.

She could feel it now.

The faint energy in the air.

The scent.

The presence.

This place wasn't human territory.

This is wolf land.

Goosebumps spread across her skin.

Vampires and wolves were natural enemies.

She had grown up hearing stories of their brutality.

And now she was inside their territory.

Her jaw tightened.

She needed to leave.

Immediately.

"Don't tell me you lost your memory," the doctor continued gently. "Do you remember my name?"

Jenny quickly adjusted her expression.

This might be useful.

"I… don't remember anything."

The doctor looked concerned.

"Oh no. You must have hit your head very hard. That explains it. Don't worry. Memory usually returns gradually."

"So… my name is Clara?"

"Yes."

"And you are?"

"Doctor Ben."

She memorized it instantly.

Information was power.

"And my family?"

"You live with your step-aunt and step-uncle. Your parents passed away years ago."

Step-relatives.

Perfect.

Before she could ask more, the door slammed open.

A woman stormed inside, eyes burning with anger.

"Where is that useless girl? The only thing she knows is causing trouble every single day!"

Her gaze locked onto Jenny with open hostility.

"Why don't you just die?" the woman spat.

The air in the room felt heavier.

Jenny observed her carefully.

Step-aunt.

Clearly.

The woman tried to grab her arm.

Jenny pulled away instinctively.

"I'm staying here today," she said calmly.

The woman's expression darkened.

The doctor quickly stepped in. "She has amnesia. She isn't faking it."

The woman clicked her tongue but didn't argue further.

However, her hatred remained obvious.

Before leaving, she leaned closer to Clara.

"Don't think this changes anything. When you return home, you'll learn your place."

The door slammed shut.

Silence returned.

Jenny sat still for a moment.

Then she exhaled slowly.

That woman would become a problem.

But not now.

"Doctor," she said suddenly, holding her head. "I have a severe headache. I need to rest."

The doctor nodded.

"You should stay."

The step-aunt protested about payment.

Without hesitation, Jenny replied, "I will handle the hospital fees myself."

The room went quiet.

The doctor blinked in surprise.

After the woman left angrily, Jenny lowered the blanket and sat upright again.

She clenched her fists.

It has only been one day.

She glanced at the calendar.

25 August.

That meant her body was still fresh.

Still likely untouched.

Her lips slowly curved.

Good.

Very good.

If she could find a way back—

She would reclaim her throne.

She would expose the traitors.

She would drag her brother's name through blood and fear.

And this time—

She would not hesitate.

A cold smile spread across her face.

The dead do not forgive.

They return.

And they destroy.
