Kara
I moved through the building like a quiet predator.
Every step was careful, and controlled. The place was too silent for my liking.
The map Zack sent was displayed on the screen of my electric watch. According to it, the server room was just down the next corridor.
Good, If everything went smoothly, I would be in and out of this place in less than fifteen minutes.
I reached the door and slipped inside.
Rows of computers filled the room, their dim lights flickering in the darkness.
I pulled the small hacker USB from my pocket and plugged it into the system.
Lines of code immediately began racing across the screen.
10%, 25%, 40%. I checked the time, fourteen minutes left.
60%.
Suddenly then something changed, the air in the room shifted, and a strange feeling crawled up my spine, the kind that made every instinct in my body scream danger.
I wasn't alone. My hand slowly moved toward my gun.
Before I could react, the door slammed open.
And five men rushed in.
Their eyes glowed unnaturally in the dim light, and when they smiled, sharp fangs caught the reflection from the monitors. My stomach dropped.
Werewolves.
The first one lunged, I moved instantly.
My fist connected with his jaw, sending him stumbling backward. Another tried to grab me, but I twisted away and drove my knee into his stomach.
Normally, I could handle a fight like this, but these men were different.
They were stronger, faster.
One of them grabbed my arm and slammed me into the wall hard enough to knock the air from my lungs.
I fought back, landing another strike, but it barely slowed him down.
A second later, two of them pinned me to the ground.
I struggled, reaching for the gun at my waist—the one loaded with silver bullets.
Then I felt the sharp sting in my neck. A needle.
"Fucking human intruder," one of them muttered coldly.
My limbs instantly became heavy, I tried to move, tried to fight it, but the drug spread through my body too quickly.
The room began to spin. The last thing I saw before everything faded to black were their glowing eyes staring down at me.
When I woke up again, something was terribly wrong.
My body wouldn't move, and my eyes barely opened, my vision blurry and unfocused.
It felt like I was trapped inside my own body. Panic rose in my chest as I tried to lift my arms, bothing happened.
The drug. I had been sedated.
A sound broke the silence.
Footsteps echoed, someone had entered the room. My heart began pounding violently.
Through my blurred vision, I saw the shape of a man moving closer to the bed where I lay.
I tried to speak, but my voice came out weak.
"Stop…"
He ignored me. Then I felt the rough pull of fabric as my clothes were torn away.
Fear flooded my mind as I realized what was happening.
My body refused to respond, no matter how desperately I tried to move.
I could feel everything, the moment his large body covered mine roughly. He growled with harsh breaths, and he was strong.
Every moment felt like a nightmare I couldn't wake from, I was being assaulted by an unknown man!
He gripped my legs open, and I felt his hardness. Tears slid down the sides of my face as helplessness swallowed me whole.
I begged him to stop. But he didn't.
The room filled with the sound of my quiet cries and his heavy breathing.
The pain was unbearable, especially since it was my first time.
All my life, I'd never had a boyfriend, too busy creating the perfect life for myself, growing wasn't easy so I never fancied dating, even though Kelly tried so hard to hook me up on dates.
The assault went on, and eventually my mind simply shut down. Darkness took me again.
When I woke up the second time, the man was no longer on the bed.
My entire body ached. I could barely keep my eyes open.
Through the haze of the drug, I saw him standing near the door.
"Who… are you?" I whispered, "and why did you r*pe me.."
He didn't answer. Instead, a low growl escaped his throat.
My heart stopped. I watched in horror as his body suddenly began to twist and jerk unnaturally.
Bones cracked, then his back bent at an impossible angle.
Fur began spreading across his skin.
A gasp left my lips. Right in front of my eyes, the man transformed.
Into a wolf.
The beast turned slowly toward me, Its glowing eyes locked onto mine, then it moved.
The wolf leapt onto the bed. Before I could react, its jaws clamped down on my ankle.
Pain exploded through my body as its teeth sank deep into my flesh.
My scream tore through the room.
Then just as suddenly as it attacked, the wolf released me and bolted out of the room.
Leaving me bleeding… and completely alone.
I clutched my ankle, hastily tying fabric around it to stop the bleeding. I had no idea how long I sat there, dazed and terrified, but I knew I had to escape.
The thought of him returning sent fresh waves of panic through me.
I had no idea where I was. The drug was wearing off, my vision clearing enough to take in my surroundings.
I forced myself to stand, biting back a cry as pain shot through my wounded foot.
The ache between my legs was unbearable. My first time... and it had been stolen from me in the worst way possible. I bit down the sob threatening to escape and pulled on a pair of sweatpants and a sweater I saw on the ground, before stumbling out of the room.
I had nothing. No phone, no money, not even my gun.
The scent of rusting metal filled my nostrils as I limped down the corridor, searching for a way out of this place.
Every step sent sharp pain through my legs, the injury on my ankle slowing me even more.
My eyes darted around, scanning for any signs of life, but I found none. I was completely alone.
Finally, I found an exit. The moon loomed high above, bathing the world in its eerie glow.
A dense forest stretched before me. I had no idea where I was, but there was only one goal in my mind—getting as far away as possible.
I forced myself forward, pushing into the thick trees. My heart pounded with every distant howl that echoed through the night.
Sweat coated my skin as memories of what had happened resurfaced, threatening to consume me.
After what felt like forever, I emerged from the woods. Relief washed over me as I spotted a highway ahead.
The road was empty as I stumbled onto the asphalt, my body shaking with exhaustion.
I kept walking, praying for a miracle.
Hours passed, yet not a single car came. The cold seeped into my bones, my limbs trembling from fatigue.
My legs gave out beneath me, and I collapsed onto the hard pavement. The pain in my ankle burned, my vision spinning wildly.
I knew I wouldn't last much longer.
With the last ounce of my strength, I took two more steps forward before the world faded into darkness.
