Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 – The Lunar Base and the Approaching Kree Fleet

Across the vast universe, countless civilizations continued their lives without realizing that several powerful forces were quietly moving toward the same location.

It was an incredible coincidence.

Different factions, each pursuing their own goals, were converging on a single planet without even realizing it.

Loki had already arrived on Earth carrying the psychic scepter. Acting under the command of Thanos, his mission was to seize the Tesseract and prepare the planet for conquest.

At the same time, the Kree Empire was moving toward the solar system. Their purpose was twofold: punish Ms. Marvel for her betrayal and recover the Inhumans that their empire had once created on Earth.

Meanwhile, another rising power had its own connection to the planet.

The Kryptonian Empire.

Among all the factions approaching Earth, the Kryptonians were the first to notice that something unusual was happening.

…..

…..

While the other forces were preparing for conflict, Yun Chen's Kryptonian Empire continued expanding steadily.

Not long ago, Yun Chen had personally visited Earth and experienced the extraordinary effects of its sun. The moment he felt the powerful stimulation that the yellow star produced within Kryptonian cells, he immediately realized how valuable this location could be.

The solar radiation in this system was extremely beneficial for Kryptonians.

Naturally, he had no intention of ignoring such an opportunity.

However, Yun Chen was not someone like General Zod.

Zod would have destroyed Earth without hesitation if it meant rebuilding Krypton in its place. In his eyes, wiping out humanity to occupy the planet would have been a perfectly logical decision.

Yun Chen did not share that cruelty.

After all, Earth had once been his own home.

More importantly, the solar system was enormous. There was no need to conquer the entire planet just to benefit from the sun's radiation.

There were many other options.

One of them was already being implemented.

The Moon.

A secret Kryptonian settlement had quietly been established there.

On the barren surface of the Moon, deep within massive craters and rocky plains, groups of Kryptonians moved through the silent landscape wearing advanced combat suits.

Scientists and engineers worked tirelessly as construction teams assembled structures across the gray terrain. Large base facilities were being built directly on the lunar surface.

"According to His Majesty's research, the sun in this system has an extremely strong effect on Kryptonian physiology," one scientist explained to the others.

Because of that discovery, several artificial incubation pools had been constructed inside the new lunar base.

Future Kryptonians would be born and raised under the light of this yellow star. With continuous exposure to solar radiation from the moment of their creation, the next generation might become even stronger.

Perhaps one day, Yun Chen would personally witness the birth of a new and even more powerful Superman.

There was another important change as well.

After establishing the new Kryptonian Empire, Yun Chen had rewritten several fundamental laws of Kryptonian society. The most significant change was the creation of a supreme monarchy.

Under this system, all newly created Kryptonians carried a special genetic command embedded into their DNA.

Absolute loyalty to the emperor.

If a female Kryptonian received a direct command from Yun Chen, she would obey without hesitation. If a soldier received an order, he would carry it out regardless of the danger.

Even death would not be questioned.

Among those stationed on the Moon was the recently promoted deputy commander, Faora.

The woman known for her cold and distant demeanor sat cross-legged on the roof of one of the base structures. Every day and night she remained there quietly, observing the sunlight falling across the lunar landscape.

"His Majesty was right," she murmured softly. "It's real… the sun truly works on Kryptonians."

When Yun Chen first landed on Earth, he immediately felt a powerful surge of energy throughout his cells.

For Faora, the change had taken longer.

Her genetic structure was already highly optimized, which meant the process of adaptation occurred more slowly. It took nearly half a month before she finally sensed the first faint reaction inside her body.

But once the change began, the effects became increasingly noticeable.

Each of her cells slowly started absorbing solar radiation.

The power within her body began growing.

It was gradual but undeniable.

Faora clenched her fist.

A powerful surge of strength flowed through her arm.

"I'm getting stronger," she whispered quietly. "I'm actually getting stronger."

A sudden thought crossed her mind.

Perhaps she didn't even need the protective combat suit anymore.

Rip!

Without hesitation, Faora removed the armored equipment covering her body.

For a moment, the air around her felt chaotic as the life-support system shut down.

But something surprising happened next.

Without the assistance of any equipment, Faora's body began absorbing the surrounding environment naturally.

It was an astonishing phenomenon.

In the past, Krypton's atmosphere had been extremely complex. The nitrogen concentration and atmospheric conditions made it impossible for Kryptonians to survive easily in other planetary environments.

That was why they relied heavily on specialized combat suits during off-world operations.

If the suit failed, death usually followed.

But now things were changing.

Under the light of Earth's sun, Faora's body slowly adapted to the environment without assistance from any breathing equipment.

"My God…"

For the first time, the usually cold and emotionless warrior showed visible excitement.

This kind of transformation had never occurred before.

"The yellow sun is a blessing for Kryptonians," she said quietly.

Faora opened her arms, letting the sunlight fall across her body.

Discovering Neptune had given the Kryptonian survivors a new home.

But the power of the yellow sun represented something far greater.

It was the beginning of Krypton's true rebirth.

Faora stood up immediately.

"Accelerate construction of the lunar base," she ordered firmly. "Increase the expansion speed."

She had already grown fond of this barren and silent world.

To her, the Moon was no longer an empty wasteland. It had become the foundation of Krypton's future.

At that moment, one of the scientists suddenly froze.

He stared toward the distant stars with confusion.

"Wait… look over there," he said nervously. "Why is there a spacecraft moving through the starfield?"

Faora and the others turned to look.

Far beyond the Moon, deep within the darkness of space, a large fleet of ships was approaching the Earth.

The sight immediately triggered a sense of unease.

Faora's expression darkened.

"His Majesty once said that Earth does not possess the technology required for interstellar travel," she said slowly. "A fleet of that size cannot possibly belong to this planet."

Her eyes narrowed.

"Which means…"

"An alien invasion?"

Faora frowned deeply.

The seriousness of the situation became obvious instantly.

She remembered Yun Chen mentioning that Krypton's Central Codex—one of the empire's most important treasures—might still exist somewhere on Earth.

Recently, the emperor had also grown unexpectedly close to a certain human woman.

Although Faora never openly expressed her feelings, the thought always left her slightly dissatisfied.

Still, she pushed those thoughts aside and immediately sent a quantum communication message.

"Earth is in danger," she reported. "An unidentified fleet has entered the solar system."

Moments later, Kryptonian engineers began scanning the approaching ships using long-range observation equipment.

After several rounds of analysis, they finally confirmed the fleet's identity.

"It has been verified," one engineer reported. "The ships appear to belong to the Kree Empire."

"The Kree fleet…"

Faora's expression turned colder.

She instantly remembered the reason Ms. Marvel had fled the Kree Empire.

There was no need to guess why the fleet had come.

Revenge.

The Kree had come to settle the score.

"No wonder that Earth woman acts so confident all the time," Faora muttered coldly. "She must think she can rely on His Majesty's protection."

She snorted quietly.

Without realizing it, Faora's dislike toward the woman currently staying in the Kryptonian palace had grown even stronger.
