On television screens across the country, a strange image suddenly appeared before countless viewers. The figure displayed on the screen was blurred and indistinct, its surroundings dim as though swallowed by shadow. Even the person's body seemed wrapped in a layer of fog. A faint outline of a mask could be seen on the face, but the distortion was so heavy that no one could make out any real details.
"Hello everyone. I'm Phoenix. It's an honor to meet you. Now, I'd like to talk about the world."
The voice that followed spread instantly through televisions everywhere. It sounded unnatural, almost like something produced by electronic synthesis rather than a human throat. The signal echoed across Manhattan, across New York, and quickly throughout the entire United States. The reach of the broadcast extended even farther beyond that.
What made the situation even more bizarre was how the voice sounded to each listener.
Every person heard the speech in their own language. Some heard it in English, others in Chinese. Still others heard French, German, or various other languages. No matter where the listener came from or what language they spoke, the words were instantly understandable.
And the broadcast did not stop with television.
At the exact same moment, the same voice appeared on the radios of vehicles driving across the country. Cars moving along highways, taxis weaving through city traffic, trucks crossing long-distance routes—all of them suddenly received the identical transmission.
The sudden appearance of the mysterious broadcast caused unease almost immediately.
At first people thought it was some sort of technical malfunction, but as the speech continued and the signal remained perfectly stable, the confusion began turning into fear. That fear spread quickly, and within only a few minutes an unusual tension settled across the entire United States.
People stopped whatever they were doing and stared at their televisions in disbelief.
"We all live on Earth," the figure continued calmly. "In the billions of years since the birth of this planet, many powerful creatures and advanced civilizations have appeared. In our current era, technology is highly developed and material wealth is abundant. Most people can obtain the things they want without much difficulty."
The blurred figure paused briefly before continuing.
"But what you see is only the surface."
"There are countless ordinary people in this world, and among them exist mutants—individuals born with extraordinary abilities. Some possess incredible power, like Magneto or Professor X. Others are much weaker, barely different from ordinary humans. At the same time, in the shadows of the world there are many powerful organizations."
The figure slowly listed them one by one.
"In the United States there is S.H.I.E.L.D. In China there is the ShenSpear Bureau. And then there is Hydra, an organization believed to have been destroyed long ago but whose remnants still linger."
"These organizations possess technologies far beyond the imagination of the general public. In addition, there are numerous so-called superheroes—people with special abilities who constantly overturn the scientific principles you believe to be absolute. Humans who can fly through the air. Humans who can surround themselves with flames. Humans whose bodies can become steel."
"All of these things exist in the world around you."
The blurred figure seemed to let out a quiet sigh, as though amused by the situation.
"Yet despite witnessing so many impossible phenomena, the general public still manages to maintain a stable belief in scientific logic. I must admit, I sincerely admire that."
The voice carried a faint tone of curiosity.
"Events that defy scientific understanding occur constantly right in front of your eyes, and yet humanity continues to develop science as if everything is normal. To be honest, I'm genuinely surprised that none of you have gone completely insane."
At that moment, an unimaginable number of people were hearing Leon's words.
Those listeners included ordinary civilians, government officials, and mutants scattered across the world.
Many ordinary viewers believed the broadcast was simply an elaborate prank or hacking stunt. High-ranking officials, however, immediately felt a deep sense of threat from the message. Meanwhile, some mutants watching the broadcast reacted differently, intrigued by the boldness of someone daring to reveal such secrets so openly.
"But your perspective remains far too narrow," the figure continued calmly. "You focus only on the tiny piece of land beneath your feet and rarely bother to look upward toward the stars."
"In that vast starry sky exist powers far beyond anything you can imagine."
The voice became slightly more serious.
"Humanity is not alone."
"In fact, if you look at the greater universe, Earth is little more than a fragile infant. There are dangers approaching that you do not even realize exist."
The figure began naming things most people had never heard before.
"The Kree. The Skrulls. The Shi'ar."
"These powerful alien empires have always posed a potential threat to Earth."
"And then there are places you believe belong only to mythology—Asgard, Jotunheim, Muspelheim. These realms are not merely stories."
The voice continued steadily.
"There are also beings far more terrifying. Entities such as Thanos, or the cosmic devourer known as Galactus. These existences represent dangers beyond your comprehension."
"And yet humanity knows nothing about them."
"I'm telling you these things today simply as a small lesson—a piece of knowledge shared with the people of Earth. Consider it a gift of information."
The tone of the speech shifted slightly.
"At the same time, it is also a warning directed at certain individuals."
"What you don't know, I know."
"And what you believe you know… I understand far better than you."
"If you want to discover the truth behind these matters, then search for it yourselves. The answers are already out there waiting."
The blurry figure on the television flickered as if the signal was about to end.
For a moment it seemed the broadcast had finished, but just as the image began fading, the voice suddenly returned once more.
"Oh, right. I nearly forgot something."
"There's one more thing I should mention."
"The tsunami that struck New York today… I caused it."
"And the previous stock market crash? That was also my doing."
The voice remained calm and emotionless.
"If I truly wanted to, destroying the entire world would be very easy for me."
"However, I sincerely hope that day doesn't arrive too soon."
As soon as the final sentence ended, the image vanished.
The mysterious figure disappeared from every television screen, and the strange voice was gone as if it had never existed. Across the country, televisions immediately returned to their original channels.
But inside countless broadcasting studios, the hosts who appeared on screen were clearly stunned. Many of them looked at each other in confusion and disbelief, proving that they had witnessed the same broadcast moments earlier.
In a single terrifying live transmission, Leon had just addressed not only the entire United States—but the whole world.
