Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 – The Wizard’s Legacy

It took Ethan Blake nearly three hours to fully absorb Dumbledore's magical knowledge.

The inheritance contained an overwhelming amount of information. There were countless spells, potion brewing techniques, secrets of the magical world, knowledge about magical creatures, and many other things. It was essentially a complete magical encyclopedia filled with centuries of accumulated wisdom.

At first glance, the magic from the Harry Potter universe didn't seem particularly destructive. There were no spells capable of summoning meteorites from the sky or tearing the earth apart with overwhelming force.

But that didn't mean the magic was weak.

The strength of these spells wasn't measured by raw destructive power. Instead, their true value lay in their functionality and versatility.

Healing charms, mind-control spells, Dementor magic, duplication charms, restoration spells—there were countless different magical techniques that could achieve incredible results.

Then there was the Traceless Extension Charm.

Ethan immediately thought of Newt Scamander's suitcase. Because of the Traceless Extension Charm placed on it, the suitcase contained an enormous space inside.

It was large enough to house entire ecosystems.

If necessary, that kind of enchanted space could easily contain something the size of Yellowstone National Park.

And Yellowstone alone covered nearly ten thousand square kilometers.

At the same time, Ethan sensed a new and unfamiliar energy flowing through his body.

Magic.

This was the magical power that came with Dumbledore's inheritance, the very same magical energy Dumbledore possessed at his peak.

What surprised Ethan even more was something else entirely.

In the Harry Potter universe, magical ability was determined largely by the strength of a person's soul and their mental power. Because Ethan needed to support such an enormous amount of magical energy, the summoning system had automatically strengthened his soul and mental capacity.

Psychokinesis was directly tied to mental strength.

Which meant Ethan's telekinetic power had also increased dramatically.

Roughly three times stronger than before.

Previously, Ethan could lift around five hundred tons using telekinesis. Now that limit had jumped to roughly fifteen hundred tons.

It was a completely unexpected bonus.

Ethan raised his hand slightly and whispered softly.

"Wingardium Leviosa."

He made a subtle gesture with his right hand.

No wand.

Casting spells without a wand was simply a small trick within Dumbledore's vast magical knowledge.

The table in front of him slowly rose into the air.

Ethan frowned slightly as he observed the effect.

Casting magic without a wand consumed significantly more magical energy—roughly three times as much as normal.

According to the knowledge he had inherited, simple spells such as the Levitation Charm, the Unlocking Charm, the Leg-Locking Curse, or the Stunning Spell could all be cast without a wand. The only downside was the increased magical cost.

But more dangerous spells were a completely different matter.

Spells like Sectumsempra, Fiendfyre, the Shattering Curse, and especially the Unforgivable Curses carried serious risks when cast without a wand.

Not only would they consume enormous magical power, they could also cause permanent damage to the caster's body.

For example, casting Avada Kedavra without a wand would immediately destroy the arm used to release the spell.

The limb would essentially die.

Because of that, obtaining a wand had become Ethan's most urgent task.

A high-quality wand could significantly improve spell stability and power.

Fortunately, Dumbledore's inheritance included knowledge on how to craft one.

Unfortunately, gathering the necessary materials was another matter entirely.

The wand body itself wasn't difficult. Woods like acacia, holly, oak, and even elder were all available in this world.

The real problem was the wand core.

A proper wand core required materials from magical creatures.

In the Harry Potter universe, the three best core materials were unicorn hair, dragon heartstring, and phoenix tail feathers.

But those materials simply didn't exist on Earth in the Marvel universe.

Even settling for second-tier materials would be difficult.

The biggest issue was that Earth didn't seem to have magical creatures at all.

If there was anywhere on the planet where magical creatures might exist, Ethan suspected it would be Kamar-Taj.

Unfortunately, he still had no idea how to find it.

For now, he could only try experimenting with alternative materials.

If that failed…

Then he might have to capture someone.

Strange.

If he kidnapped Doctor Strange, the Ancient One would definitely appear.

Over the next month or two, Ethan focused almost entirely on crafting a wand.

He spent less time hunting criminals and more time experimenting with materials.

Feathers, nerves, tendons, heartstrings—he tried almost every possible biological material he could find.

None of them worked.

Just as Ethan began seriously considering whether he should simply kidnap Stephen Strange…

Tony Stark called him.

"Man, Wanda and Pietro's combat suits are finished," Tony said. "Come pick them up when you've got time."

"Perfect," Ethan replied. "I'll come now."

The next second, Ethan appeared directly in front of Tony Stark thousands of kilometers away.

"Hey, Tony," Ethan greeted casually.

Tony looked at him.

Then he glanced at the phone still in his hand.

He rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, that teleport thing is ridiculously convenient."

"So where are the suits?" Ethan asked.

Tony pointed toward a nearby table.

"Right there. The red one is Wanda's, the blue one is Pietro's. You can try them out."

Ethan looked over.

The devices resembled compact wearable units designed for the upper body.

He picked up the blue one and put it on.

"Now what?" Ethan asked.

"There's a button on the right side near the stomach," Tony explained.

Ethan pressed it.

Immediately the device began transforming.

Mechanical components unfolded and expanded as the suit assembled itself around his body. Within ten seconds, the armor fully formed, covering him from neck to ankles.

Ethan moved around slightly.

The suit felt extremely flexible and didn't restrict movement at all.

Tony crossed his arms and spoke from the side.

"Because of your request, I didn't install any weapon systems in those suits. But don't worry—the defensive performance absolutely meets the requirements you gave me."

"That's enough," Ethan said with satisfaction. "I'm not planning to send those two into combat anyway."

He deactivated the armor, returning it to its compact wearable form.

The second suit sitting on the table was casually stored inside Ethan's golden storage space.

"Thanks, Tony. If there's nothing else, I'll head back now," Ethan said. "I'll treat you to dinner sometime."

He was about to leave.

"Hey, man. Wait a second."

Tony suddenly stopped him.

"Something wrong?" Ethan asked.

Tony hesitated.

After a long moment of silence, he finally spoke.

"Man… if… I mean, if something happens to me… if I die… promise me you'll take care of Pepper. Okay?"
