Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Rebirth of Yan Fu

Darkness.

It was endless and silent, like an empty abyss swallowing everything that existed.

Yan Fu felt as if his body had disappeared. No pain, no sound, no light—only a deep, suffocating void.

The last memory in his mind replayed again and again.

Rain falling on a broken street.

His mother screaming.

Three men laughing.

Yan Fu remembered the moment he stepped forward without thinking. Fear had been there, yes—but something stronger pushed him forward.

Love.

He fought them with everything he had, even though he knew he had no chance.

And in the end…

A cold blade pierced through his chest.

The world faded.

His mother's cries echoed as everything went black.

Suddenly—

A sharp wind brushed across his face.

Yan Fu's eyes snapped open.

Bright sunlight blinded him for a moment.

"Where… am I?"

His voice sounded calm but unfamiliar, deeper than before.

He slowly stood up and looked around.

The place before him looked like the ruins of an ancient mountain sect.

Broken stone pillars lay scattered across the ground. Fallen statues were covered in moss, and cracked jade tiles littered the courtyard.

Weeds grew through what once must have been magnificent halls.

Even the spiritual energy in the air felt thin and abandoned.

At the entrance stood a half-collapsed gate.

Above it hung an ancient wooden plaque, barely holding together.

Three faded characters were carved into it:

Ji Xia Sect.

Yan Fu stared silently.

A strange feeling filled his heart, as if fate had dragged him here for a reason.

Only then did he notice something strange about himself.

He looked down.

He was wearing long celestial white robes, embroidered with ancient golden patterns that seemed to glow faintly in the sunlight.

The cloth felt light yet powerful, like it contained boundless spiritual energy.

His hair fell down his back in long silver-white strands, flowing gently in the wind.

A loose strand brushed against his face.

"What…?"

Yan Fu quickly touched his hair.

White.

Completely white.

His reflection appeared faintly in a broken stone mirror nearby.

His eyes were no longer ordinary.

They were hazel green, deep and mysterious like ancient jade.

In his hand, he held a pure white staff, smooth as crystal yet impossibly heavy with hidden power.

Strange runes shimmered faintly along its surface.

But Yan Fu had no idea what it was.

Before he could think further—

A glowing screen suddenly appeared in front of him.

A mechanical yet calm voice echoed in his mind.

[Welcome to the Dongxu World.]

Yan Fu froze.

The screen continued.

[System Initialization Complete.]

[Hello Host.]

[I am the System — A.L.O.]

Yan Fu frowned slightly.

"A system…?"

The voice responded immediately.

[Correct.]

[Host Yan Fu has successfully transmigrated into the Dongxu World.]

Images suddenly flashed through his mind—mountains floating in the sky, cultivators flying on swords, divine beasts roaring in the heavens.

A world of immortals.

A world of power.

A cultivation world.

The system continued calmly.

[Your purpose in this world is simple.]

[Restore the glory of the Ji Xia Sect.]

Yan Fu slowly turned his head and looked again at the ruined mountain sect behind him.

Broken halls.

Destroyed formations.

Not a single disciple in sight.

Just silence.

The system displayed another message.

[You will receive quests.]

[Completing quests will grant divine rewards.]

[You possess Celestial-Level power.]

Yan Fu's eyes narrowed slightly.

Celestial level?

But the system continued.

[However…]

[There exist countless individuals in the Dongxu World who can rival or surpass you.]

[There are also many cultivators suitable to become your allies.]

The glowing screen flickered slightly before showing the final message.

[Host must decide how to rebuild Ji Xia Sect.]

[Will it become a righteous sect?]

[A dominating power?]

[Or something that shakes the entire Dongxu World?]

Wind swept through the ruins.

Yan Fu stood silently in the center of the destroyed courtyard.

Then slowly…

He smiled.

A calm, confident smile.

"If fate brought me here…"

He planted the white staff firmly into the ground.

"…then this ruined sect will rise again."

His hazel-green eyes shone brightly.

"And when it does…"

"The entire Dongxu World will know the name of Ji Xia Sect."

Far above the clouds—

A faint rumble echoed across the heavens.

As if the world itself had heard his declaration.

And a new legend had just begun.
