After shutting the door. He pulled Eva into his arms on the bed , she gasped seeing herself underneath him . "Why are you ? Shaun ?What are you doing ?"she asked him hastily and he smiled which was the very first time she's ever seen him smile at her without being smugish or provocative . "If we are to share the bed as husband and wife today would you go all out or get to know me first ?"he asked her brushing her hair away from her face. "Get to know you better as a matter of fact, can I get to know you better Shaun Roméro?"she said hastily and Shaun sighed getting off her to lay on the other side of the bed.
"What do you want to know?"he said his arms crossed over his chest , she sighed in relief fixing herself on the bed . She faced him ,her face resting on her hand. "Everything about the man who somehow still seems stable and unstable at the same time ."she said ,Shaun glared at her ,it wasn't any analogy he expected from her but then again to put it like that he applauded her smart mouth . He sighed while starring at the ceiling. "I'm a man with alot of money as you can see."he stated the obvious and she rolled her eyes at him , "Can you please not be cocky for once?"she said with annoyance in her tone he laughed, a rich and deep laughter.
"Onay fine. I was back stabbed by a lot of people i trusted at first . My parents died in a fire caused by you know enemies which I later killed . Ended up serving at the army with you know who ,amd who you know back stabbed me . That's why I have a very hard time trusting people even you little bird. But j think underneath all that is someone who yearns to show care without feeling like a burden while expressing it. I never felt my mother or fathers love so I had to fight to be where I am let alone to be here with you right now. " he said and slowly turned to face her his head now resting on his arm while the other hand touched her cheek.
"I grew up with violence, that's why I take things without actually soothing the lattr I'm taking for cause I do not know how to do that. But I did learn to be patient with you , although I pushed you to your wits end cause for me thats how I know you're alive or even feeling something for me. Any emotion is what I feed off from ,it doesn't matter if its hate ,anger, love or trust."he said again. She touched his hand that was brushing her cheeks. Even in the same normal size hed she was still tiny and he was a big man towering over her . "These past few days were annoying without you. I learned a thing or two . Patience and obviously hearing you out first as to why you have to keep that Hernandez boy by your side which I'll think over it after I confirmed you'll never ever disappear like that from me ?"he added again. "Whether you like it or not , your safety matters to me. There's a reason why I always check on you while you're asleep at your dorm . If you die then I don't think this world will handle my wrath ,let alone my enemies won't survive. It is you who keeps me grounded."he said softly looking into her eyes.
"Then will you be honest about one thing ?"she asked him ,holding his hand against her cheek . "If you didn't kill my sister Celeste then who did ?"she asked him and he sighed. He knew she was going to ask this question. "The crossfire was meant for me , instead your sister drove right into it after she found out I wanted to be yours since the first time we met. So its between your father Morrison or my own enemies."he said and he felt the shift of energy from her. She smiled and turned to face the window . He sighed, getting closer to her as he played with her hair. "Do you want me to take the blame ?cause I truly do not mind doing tha-"
"No , I just can't look at you for more than this honestly . You make me want to prove something. Your words match some of your actions and I do not know how to handle that. " she said softly he smiled .
"Can I get to know you better,Eva?"he asked her and she giggled . "Is this an interview ?"she asked him as she turned again to look at the ceiling . "If you want it to be, then yes or we can just make it an introduction without all the crap that happened between us. "he said and she pouted her lips slightly then smiled . "Raised by my mom and dad but after you married Celeste my dad took off , so for years my mom and uncle took care of. I love watching sunsets by the way I always dreamed of my husband or boyfriend making love to me while I watch the sunset . But overall I think I'm a nice person I just don't like bullies and that includes you when you rile me up ."she said facing him
"Somewhere down the line I felt like this contract would change if one of us caved in first but since we're both crazy I just hope it adds meaning to your life cause mine is already yours . " she said shrugging ," I want to be a great mom one day ,or wife . I hoped for a big family too with loving in laws and all that but most of it all , after my college degree I just want to be happy and lead a normal life with someone I care about. But I guess normal won't happen cause I'm in the same ditch as my sister got herself into ."she said chuckling in the end and Shaun kissed her .
