"What's this?" He heard his brother ask.
He glanced in their direction, only to find her deathly pale. Friedrich's hand was at the base of her neck…
He was asking about the same bite he himself had been wondering about.
"I got bitten by an insect." She said and slipped into her room before any more questions could be asked.
Theodore hadn't failed to notice the way her gaze kept shifting from his brother to him from time to time.
She was hiding something…
And normally, it would be none of his business, but he felt much too involved in the mystery to remain aloof.
"Strange." He heard Friedrich murmur to himself.
Then, Friedrich turned to face him.
"Has she been receiving any visitors while I was away?"
Theodore raised a brow.
The blasted woman had been too busy working herself to a pulp caring for him to have time for visitors.
"What kind of visitors are you speaking of?"
Friedrich stepped closer, lowering his voice. "Any male visitors, perhaps? Recently?"
