Jayden sat in the living room, quietly playing a soft tune on his guitar. The melody filled the house with a calm atmosphere. He didn't expect anyone to disturb him that morning.
Suddenly, the front door opened.
Jayden looked up and saw his mother, Fiona, entering the house. But she wasn't alone. Standing beside her was a girl he instantly recognized.
Ariana.
The same girl from Sawyer College.
Jayden's eyes widened slightly. He remembered how she had spoken back to him in the garden earlier. Seeing her here, inside his house, confused him.
"Hello, Mom," Jayden said slowly, his eyes still fixed on Ariana.
Fiona smiled warmly. "Hey, darling. I brought you a guest… and a roommate."
Jayden frowned. "Who?"
Fiona turned toward Ariana. "Come on, dear. Tell him your name."
"Ariana Stuart," she said quietly.
Jayden almost dropped his guitar.
Fiona continued cheerfully, "Okay then. Jayden, meet Ariana Stuart… your new maid."
For a moment, the room fell completely silent.
"What the hell?" Jayden suddenly stood up. "Mom, she can't be the new maid. She doesn't look like someone who can stay quiet."
Ariana lowered her head, feeling embarrassed.
Fiona sighed. "You complain too much, Jay. She just needs a job."
Then Fiona gently held Ariana's hand and led her down the hallway.
"This will be your room," Fiona said kindly. "And one more thing… try not to get on Jayden's bad side. He values his privacy."
Ariana nodded respectfully. "Thank you, ma'am."
After that, Fiona left the house, leaving the two of them alone.
Jayden stood in the living room, staring toward Ariana's room with an annoyed expression.
"A maid from my own college… great," he muttered.
Meanwhile, Ariana sat quietly in her new room.
She took a deep breath and looked around.
This place was far bigger and richer than anything she had ever seen before.
But she knew one thing clearly.
From today onward, her life had completely changed.
And living under the same roof as Jayden was going to be far from easy.
