Chapter 99 - Father of Titans - Ouranos

"Below is the altar where Lord Ouranos is located. You just need to go down, and you will be able to see Lord Ouranos."

"We understand. Thank you very much, Lord Guild Master!"

With the Guild Master Royman arriving in person, Hyacine and Barbara's temporary healing spot was considered officially closed.

After all, Ouranos's status was extremely special. After all, he was the Deity who created Orario, this Labyrinth City. Aside from the Evilus who sought to destroy The City, everyone had to show some respect.

Therefore, Hyacine and Barbara didn't hesitate to follow Royman to where Ouranos was located.

Because she also really wanted to know what kind of expression Ouranos would have after seeing her...

Looking at the gates leading underground, Hyacine and Barbara exchanged a glance, then stepped forward together, disappearing into the darkness.

It wasn't until the gates slowly closed that Royman's expression gradually changed, shifting from his original respectful flattery to something complex...

"Lord Ouranos, why did you do this?"

Although Royman was nominally Ouranos's subordinate, Ouranos rarely managed the Guild normally, instead handing everything over to Royman.

However, Royman chose to sanctify Ouranos and the altar, completely distancing him from the Guild's core of power... To Ouranos, Royman was a traitor through and through.

Taking the money earned by the Guild to feed himself until he was pale and plump, which was why he had the title of "The Guild's Pig" on the outside.

But due to Royman's outstanding personal abilities, Ouranos hadn't made a move against him, choosing instead to let things be, until now...

Ouranos directly issued an order for Royman to bring Hyacine and Barbara to the Guild's altar in broad daylight at all costs, inviting them right before him. What did this mean?

"Are you planning to make a move against me, Lord Ouranos?"

A Deity, especially a major Deity like Ouranos, would find it all too easy to deal with Royman!

Even if Royman wanted to run, he couldn't possibly escape.

Left with no other options, Royman could only wait and hold onto hope.

"I just hope things won't develop the way I'm thinking... sigh!"

Meanwhile, in the downward passage, Hyacine and Barbara groped their way forward while recalling information about Ouranos in their minds.

Of course, it was the Ouranos of Greek mythology, not the Danmachi world's. After all, there was simply too little information on the Ouranos of this world; they could only analyze some useful information from mythology.

Ouranos, God of the Sky, and also the first-generation King of the Gods. Together with the Earth Goddess Gaia, he birthed the Twelve Titans, three Cyclops, and three Hecatoncheires.

Looking at it this way, there didn't seem to be any issues, but if one traced the origins, they would find that the Earth Goddess Gaia was actually Ouranos's mother too... After all, it was Greek mythology; it was incredibly messy.

So, temporarily putting aside the information about those tangled relationships and focusing on the Titans, one would discover...

Weren't the Twelve Titans of Greek mythology the exact prototypes of the Twelve Titans of Amphoreus? Although many details were different, at least the name 'Twelve Titans' was correct.

"Hyacine is a descendant of the sky, possessing the potential to become a Sky Titan, so she can be said to be a descendant of the Titans."

"And Ouranos is the Father of Titans, so he's my..."

"Ancestor?"

Seeming to have realized something, Hyacine and Barbara both saw the shock in each other's eyes, and then they just directly gave up trying to figure it out.

Truly worthy of Greek mythology, the more they tried to sort out the relationships, the messier it got!

In order not to let these messy relationships disturb their thoughts, Hyacine and Barbara chose to give up thinking about it.

"Forget it, let's not think about these things. Let's see what Ouranos has to say when we meet..."

Even though the direction was downwards, the further down the two went, the more they could feel the aura of the sky. This showed that Ouranos wasn't far from them.

Sure enough, with the appearance of a few flashes of firelight, Hyacine and Barbara appeared directly below the altar. It was also at this moment that the two of them, as if sensing something, raised their heads at the same time to look at the Deity sitting on the altar.

Without a doubt, that was Ouranos!

An elderly yet majestic man sat upon the altar's throne just like that, looking at Hyacine and Barbara with a gaze that seemed to pierce through everything.

And the two girls happened to look up, causing their gazes to perfectly align. The two humans and one Deity just stared at each other, completely unsure of what they were looking at.

Because of the System's protection, neither Hyacine nor Barbara worried that Ouranos could see through anything.

In comparison, they cared more about another matter...

How did Ouranos view them? And in what capacity should they converse with Ouranos?

Ever since arriving in Orario, Hyacine had deduced her identity from the gazes of others. She wasn't a Deity, but rather, she had the identity of a human, just like Barbara.

But with Ouranos's summons, Hyacine realized something was wrong... Her identity in the Danmachi world didn't seem to be as simple as she'd imagined?

Even if she asked the System, she couldn't get any useful answers; she only knew that she was currently in a Roleplay status...

She completely didn't understand what was going on, eh?

"Umm, Lord... Ouranos?"

Looking at the high and mighty Deity, Hyacine and Barbara ultimately decided to communicate with him as humans, but they were quickly stopped by Ouranos.

The elderly male Deity slowly lowered his head, revealing a faint smile on his face. It was unknown what he was thinking, but his tone of voice was exceptionally gentle, almost like a doting grandfather seeing his grandchild...

"There's no need to call me that, child."

"After all, I can feel an aura of the sky on you that is similar to mine, and it isn't weak... You can be completely at ease."

Ouranos didn't put on the airs of a Deity at all; instead, he was much like a kind old grandfather, which seemed very out of place.

Was this the attitude a Deity should have towards a human?

Wasn't it a bit too kind?

"I'm Ouranos, the founding Deity of this City."

"Child, can you tell me your name?" One couldn't lie in front of a Deity, so Hyacine and Barbara immediately reported their names.

"Hyacine."

"Barbara."

"That's right, those are indeed your names." Ouranos looked at Hyacine just like that, quietly waiting for the girl's next words, "But that isn't the name I want..."

Hyacine... was actually incorrect?

That made sense. Hyacine was actually just an abbreviation of her original name; her real name was actually...

"Hyacinthia!"

Hyacine confidently stated her name. This had to be the correct answer, right?

However, Ouranos shook his head once again.

"Not your full name, but your other name. The name of a Deity!"

The expressions of the two girls slightly froze. As if she had thought of something, Hyacine suddenly widened her eyes, and even her pupils underwent a subtle change.

"The name of a Deity..."

"—Aquila!"
