Chapter 14 - THE KING OF UNITY

CLASSHERO SESSION – PART 2

Episode 3: The King of Unity

The courtyard of Imperial National University – Delhi Campus had become a battlefield.

Surya Sharma and Dibya Ranjan stood back-to-back as fifteen members of UNITY surrounded them. Students watched from the corridors, but nobody dared to intervene.

At the entrance stood Ahmad Khan, the undisputed leader of UNITY.

He adjusted his watch and looked at Surya.

"So you're the transfer student from Mumbai."

Surya said nothing.

Ahmad smiled.

"I've heard stories about you. Apparently, you don't know when to stay out of other people's business."

Surya glanced at the frightened students standing nearby.

"Maybe your people should stop giving me reasons to interfere."

A few students gasped.

Nobody spoke to Ahmad like that.

Ahmad's smile disappeared.

"Rakesh."

Rakesh Singh stepped forward.

"Yes, brother?"

"Teach our guest some manners."

The Fight Begins

Rakesh charged at Surya, throwing a heavy punch.

Surya shifted sideways, allowing the punch to miss. He caught Rakesh's arm and pushed him away before another UNITY member attacked from behind.

Surya ducked.

The attacker stumbled past him, and Surya shoved him into two approaching gang members.

Meanwhile, Dibya faced three opponents near the basketball court.

One tried to tackle him around the waist. Dibya maintained his balance and pushed the attacker away. Another swung wildly, but Dibya blocked the strike and landed a quick punch that sent him staggering backward.

"Not bad!" Dibya called to Surya.

Surya avoided another attack.

"Try surviving first!"

Despite the situation, Dibya laughed.

For the first time, the two fighters were beginning to understand each other.

But UNITY had numbers on its side.

Two members grabbed Dibya from behind while Rakesh rushed toward him.

Surya noticed.

"Dibya!"

He crossed the distance and pulled one attacker away, giving Dibya enough room to break free.

Dibya immediately turned and pushed the remaining attackers back.

"Thanks," he said.

"Don't mention it."

"Who said I was going to?"

Before Surya could reply, another group rushed toward them.

The fight continued.

Ahmad's Decision

"STOP!"

Ahmad's voice cut through the courtyard.

His men immediately stepped back.

Rakesh, breathing heavily, looked furious.

"Brother, we can finish them!"

Ahmad ignored him.

He walked toward Surya and Dibya, studying both of them carefully.

"You two work surprisingly well together."

Dibya wiped his forehead.

"Maybe because we weren't the ones who destroyed the clubhouse."

Ahmad's eyes narrowed.

"What are you talking about?"

Surya answered.

"Someone destroyed your basketball clubhouse and blamed me. Then someone locked Raj Kapoor inside the equipment room. Your people arranged everything so that Dibya and I would fight each other."

For a moment, Ahmad remained silent.

Then he turned toward Happy Patel.

"Find out who destroyed the clubhouse."

Happy's smile vanished.

"Of course."

Ahmad looked back at Surya.

"Don't misunderstand me. I'm not helping you."

"I don't need your help," Surya replied.

Ahmad smiled faintly.

"Good. I dislike people who depend on others."

He turned toward his gang.

"Everyone leaves. Now."

The UNITY members obeyed, although Rakesh continued glaring at Surya.

As Ahmad walked away, he stopped beside Dibya.

"Keep your new friend close."

"People like him bring trouble."

Dibya looked at Surya.

"Trouble seems to find him without any help."

Ahmad left without answering.

A Friendship Begins

An hour later, Surya sat on the steps outside the engineering building.

Dibya approached with two bottles of water.

He handed one to Surya.

"You know, most new students spend their first week finding classrooms."

Surya opened the bottle.

"I found mine."

"And then you started a war with UNITY."

"They started it."

Dibya sat beside him.

"That's what everyone says."

Surya looked at him.

"You don't believe me?"

"I believe you didn't destroy the clubhouse. But I don't know anything about your past."

Surya's expression changed.

"My past isn't important."

"Maybe to you."

Dibya paused.

"But if we're going to be friends, I should know what kind of trouble might follow us."

Surya stared at the university grounds.

"I made a mistake once. Someone I trusted got hurt, and I couldn't stop it."

He looked down at his hands.

"I'm not going to let that happen again."

Dibya didn't ask any more questions.

Instead, he stood up and offered Surya his hand.

"Fine. No questions today."

Surya accepted it.

"Thanks."

"Don't get emotional. You still owe me lunch."

For the first time since arriving in Delhi, Surya genuinely smiled.

The Real Culprit

That evening, Happy Patel entered a private room inside the UNITY headquarters.

Ahmad sat behind a desk, looking through security footage.

"Did you find anything?" Ahmad asked.

Happy hesitated.

"Yes."

He placed a tablet on the desk.

The footage showed two men entering the basketball clubhouse late at night. Their faces were partially hidden, but one wore a jacket bearing the emblem of a rival student organization.

Ahmad watched the recording twice.

"Who sent them?"

"We're still investigating."

Ahmad closed the tablet.

"Then investigate faster."

Happy nodded nervously.

As he turned to leave, Ahmad spoke again.

"And Happy?"

"Yes?"

"If I discover that someone inside UNITY arranged this..."

Ahmad's expression became cold.

"They'll answer to me."

Happy left the room.

For several seconds, Ahmad remained motionless.

Then his phone rang.

An unknown number appeared on the screen.

He answered.

A distorted voice spoke.

"Your new transfer student is becoming a problem."

Ahmad leaned back in his chair.

"Surya Sharma is my problem."

"No," the voice replied. "He's everyone's problem."

The call ended.

Ahmad stared at the screen.

For the first time that evening, he looked genuinely concerned.

The New Threat

The following morning, Surya entered the classroom and found a folded piece of paper on his desk.

There was no name on it.

Only one sentence:

YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN MUMBAI.

Below it was a photograph of Raghav Rana lying in his hospital bed.

Surya's smile disappeared.

His fingers tightened around the paper.

Someone knew about Mumbai.

Someone knew about Raghav.

And someone was watching him.

Across the classroom, Dibya noticed his expression.

"Surya? What's wrong?"

Surya folded the photograph and slipped it into his pocket.

"Nothing."

But he knew the truth.

His past had finally caught up with him.

And this time, the enemy wasn't interested in controlling a university.

They wanted to break Surya Sharma himself.
