Chapter 47 - Chapter 47

On the second day of the Autumn Tournament, EAR was still scheduled for the final match. Their opponent today was ELLA, who had been completely crushed in their match against Circe yesterday.

Today was basically their comeback match.

When ELLA saw Shen Kuangye and the others backstage, every one of them looked disdainful, as if thinking, "You guys think you can win?"

Li Shu held himself back and decided to keep the peace.

Commentator Baoxue said, "The final match today is ELLA versus EAR. We're very familiar with ELLA—they've won both runner-up and championship titles in previous Abyss tournaments. As for EAR, they've climbed all the way up from last place this season to reach Day 2 of the Autumn Finals. This match is a life-or-death battle for both teams, and we hope the players can bring their best form into it."

The female host's voice rang out: "Let's welcome ELLA's survivors to the stage!"

ELLA was a well-known team in the scene, with a strong fanbase. Many fans waved flags, cheering loudly for their team.

When ELLA entered the stage, the entire arena echoed with chants of "ELLA will win!"

But EAR's fans weren't pushovers either. Their team had finally achieved results and made it into the Autumn Finals. Even though they were outnumbered by ELLA's fans by more than half, they refused to lose in momentum—their cheers were actually even louder.

When Lu Xiangyang stepped onto the stage, a boy shouted at the top of his lungs, "SUN, you are my master!"

Lu Xiangyang looked toward the source in disbelief, then lowered his head with reddened ears.

The audience and even viewers in the livestream burst into laughter.

"Is it really okay to let him go first?"

Li Shu was a bit worried. This wasn't their home ground, so ELLA got to decide which side would play first.

Their previous strategies usually had the survivors go first, so Lu Xiangyang wouldn't be under too much pressure.

It wasn't that Li Shu didn't trust his ability—he just treated Lu Xiangyang like a younger brother and tried to avoid putting pressure on him whenever possible.

He glanced at Shen Kuangye, who stood beside him with his hands in his pockets and a calm expression.

"You're not worried?"

Shen Kuangye looked at the composed and steady young man on the big screen and said flatly, "I believe in him."

Lu Xiangyang didn't let him down. In the very first round, he secured a clutch three-elimination against ELLA's survivors.

And it was a three-elimination with all four survivors at the exit gate.

When Lu Xiangyang left the stage, he was practically bouncing with excitement. EAR's fans took the chance to shout, "Baby, let's go!!"

Lu Xiangyang smiled and waved at them.

Baoxue, who usually didn't get overly emotional during commentary, couldn't help but sigh, "SUN's play just now was incredibly cool. If his awareness had been even slightly off, that round would've ended in a three-escape."

That three-elimination boosted morale. In the second round, Shen Kuangye and the others secured a draw, at least maintaining their advantage. After all, the first two rounds favored hunter-heavy strength; later on, it would come down to character pools.

In the preparation room, members of the other two teams that had advanced also came in. Even though they might be rivals in the future, they sat together like friends at this moment—chatting, watching the match, and enjoying the atmosphere.

In contrast, ELLA's preparation room was much more tense.

They could lose to anyone—but losing to EAR was absolutely unacceptable. How could a trash team like them deserve this…?

They had been watching the matches during this period, and they had seen all of EAR's brilliant plays.

If before, when they heard that Lu Xiangyang and Shen Kuangye had joined EAR, they mocked them and waited to see a joke—now, what they felt was regret.

If only they had insisted back then on recruiting the two of them.

But regret was useless now. All they could do was hope to recover the score later.

However, Lu Xiangyang was playing far more aggressively than yesterday, giving ELLA's survivors no chance to fight back. It was as if they had completely lost both their strength and their methods.

Even the commentators could feel the tension: "SUN's condition today feels even better than yesterday. His capture speed is also very fast."

On the stage, Lu Xiangyang adjusted his headset with a cold expression.

Every time he saw ELLA's players, he couldn't help but think of what Shen Kuangye had confessed to him, and those reddened eyes from when he was sick.

He didn't consider himself particularly useful—but at this moment, he wanted to use his own way to help Shen Kuangye get revenge.

If it weren't for those people, Shen Kuangye would be a hundred times better than he is now. Lu Xiangyang didn't want him to keep everything bottled up inside and never say anything. The more Shen Kuangye shut himself off, the more Lu Xiangyang hated ELLA.

Weren't they the self-proclaimed number one team in the league? Didn't they look down on EAR?

Then today, they would be defeated on stage by the very team they despised.

And it wasn't just Lu Xiangyang—EAR came in fiercely today. Most rounds started with draws; occasionally they lost more players, but Lu Xiangyang would quickly pull the score back.

In one round, Lu Xiangyang let more survivors escape, but Shen Kuangye held a kite for 154 seconds and paid it back with a three-escape.

Livestream comments flooded in:

[Damn… they're basically pinning ELLA to the ground and beating them.]

[Who dares say EAR is bad now? This is insanely strong!]

[I'm suffocating—what is ELLA even doing? Just go home already.]

[How did ELLA even win their past trophies? Why are they playing like trash now? With such a huge score gap, how are they supposed to recover? Still dreaming of a comeback?]

[Weren't ELLA so arrogant before? What about now?]

[If EAR wins, I'll pay full price for a Mixue drink.]

[You're really going to spend money like that?]

[Ahhh so nervous, babies let's go!! Try to get off work early today!]

But in the later stage, ELLA regained their form.

Their survivors pulled off a four-escape in one round, and their hunter secured a three-elimination in another.

In the end, it came down to another life-or-death round.

If EAR's survivors got a three-escape, or if ELLA's hunter secured a three-elimination—whoever achieved it would win.

——

Shen Kuangye knew the opposing hunter had a signature pick: the Spider. And the map was Chinatown, where Spider had a very high chance of securing multiple eliminations.

But there was no way he would give them the chance to win.

He glanced at the three teammates beside him, who were seriously focused on ban-pick. Yishui patted each of them on the shoulder.

"Don't be nervous."

Li Shu said, "Coach, why do I feel like you're even more nervous than us?"

Yishui lightly smacked his head. "Nonsense."

That single sentence lightened the team's mood.

Shen Kuangye withdrew his gaze and thought of Lu Xiangyang in the preparation room, he must be staring intently at the big screen right now, hoping they could secure more escapes.

Shen Kuangye had won many championships before.

But his teammates...his precious ones—had never.

They had never stood on this stage together.

So this round… they had to win.

EAR's lineup was Mercenary, Female Dancer, Prospector, and Acrobat.

ELLA's hunter chose Spider.

Just as Shen Kuangye expected, the Spider came straight for him at the start.

He was fully prepared to kite. The early game went very smoothly—but midway, when he used Flywheel, the network suddenly lagged, forcing him to take a hit.

A gasp erupted from the audience.

Even the commentators were shocked—this mistake could have been avoided.

But soon, a message appeared on the screen:

EAR—WILD requests a pause.

In the preparation room, Lu Xiangyang shot to his feet, his expression turning serious.

The commentators immediately understood and began calming the audience.

The livestream chat exploded with anger:

[Can this trash production team just shut down already?]

[What kind of game lags during finals?!]

[Do you know who takes the blame for lag? The player! WILD was playing so well, now he took a hit, and Spider still has Blink—how are they supposed to get a three-escape?!]

[Rollback to before the lag!]

[Agreed! This is completely unfair to EAR!]

It wasn't just the livestream, EAR's fans in the venue were furious too.

Their team had fought so hard to get here, and a single lag spike could completely turn the situation, increasing the risk of failing to get a three-escape.

Someone shouted, "Refund this trash event!"

Soon, the entire audience chanted in unison:

"Refund! Refund!"

Seeing things spiral out of control, the broadcast director muted the audience audio on the livestream.

During the network inspection and repairs, Yishui looked displeased and requested a rematch from the staff.

But the staff apologized and said it might not be possible.

"Why not? The kids fought so hard to get here. Do you know what one Flywheel mistake means for the rest of the game?"

Faced with Yishui's questioning, the staff could only apologize.

"What kind of situation is this…" Li Shu muttered under his breath.

At that moment, the person involved suddenly spoke:

"If I get downed later, then you guys…"

Li Shu froze for a second before realizing Shen Kuangye was discussing strategy with them.

The one under the most pressure right now was still calmly analyzing the upcoming situation and giving instructions.

The network was quickly fixed—but the game state couldn't be rolled back.

EAR had no choice but to accept their bad luck.

No matter how skilled Shen Kuangye was, he couldn't handle a Spider with Blink forever.

He was quickly knocked down.

Now, everything depended on the Prospector and the rescue role.

The Spider placed him on a chair under the bridge. The Mercenary took a hit to rescue him, and the Prospector came to assist.

But the Spider had already accumulated too many webs, and the Acrobat had run out of items—he was quickly knocked down again.

At this point, there were still one and a half cipher machines left.

The burden now fell on the Prospector.

Cheng Rang desperately wanted to complete a full rescue.

The Spider placed the Acrobat on a chair near the big building. If they could rescue him, there was still a chance for the Acrobat to transition to the second floor.

Just as the Acrobat's recovery bar was about to fill, the Prospector reached out.

Even the commentator's voice carried a hint of tension:

"Can he make the rescue?"

At the very last second, the Prospector took a hit and pulled the Acrobat down.

Considering the Spider still had Blink, when the Acrobat tried to rotate toward the second floor, the Prospector magnetized the Spider into a wall, stunning it to buy time.

At this point, there was still one full cipher left to complete. The Female Dancer had already finished her machine and quickly moved to the Mercenary's cipher to decode together.

Just as the Spider set up webs and was about to go upstairs to chase the Acrobat, the Prospector once again pulled him into a wall and stunned him!

Meanwhile, the Acrobat had already rotated to a safe area and hidden his tracks.

The Spider lost sight of the Acrobat. Just as he was about to find him again, the Prospector reappeared and cleverly messed up the footprints. At this moment, the cipher progress was down to the final 50%.

Baoxue's voice rose slightly: "Can he find him?"

At this point, the Acrobat had quietly returned to the second floor. The pallet upstairs hadn't been used yet, and the Spider was forced to switch targets to the Prospector.

The Prospector had no magnets left and went down quickly—but at this stage, it was still fine for the Female Dancer to go for another rescue.

To prevent the Spider from teleporting, the Acrobat obediently went to prime the gate.

The Female Dancer took a hit and successfully rescued the Prospector. The Prospector kited toward the bridge area. The Spider tried to use webs to knock him down, but the Prospector's movement was too agile—none of them hit. In the end, the Spider had to rely on a basic attack.

The cipher popped instantly. Borrowed Time activated for everyone!

Ignoring the half-health Prospector, it was almost like the match had just restarted.

Not to mention, the Prospector now had two magnets in hand—making it impossible to down him instantly.

In the end, the Mercenary and Female Dancer also made their way to the gate, and all three of them rushed out of the manor together.

"Let's congratulate EAR on taking the victory once again!"

Even Baoxue's voice carried a hint of relief.

The fans below had reddened eyes as they waved their flags.

ELLA's hunter ripped off his headset with a vicious expression and left the stage coldly.

In contrast, EAR's side felt like it was New Year's celebration.

Li Shu slung an arm over Shen Kuangye's shoulder, grinning. "Damn, Captain, that play just now was insane. Honestly, when the lag hit earlier, I almost passed out."

Shen Kuangye rarely smiled, but he did this time. "It was nothing."

Li Shu's eyes widened—he clearly didn't expect Shen Kuangye to respond, let alone joke with him.

When they returned to the preparation room, Lu Xiangyang immediately walked up and handed Shen Kuangye a cup of water. He didn't say anything, but his eyes sparkled as he looked at him.

"That play just now was seriously amazing—I swear my heart was in my throat," Li Shu said, still shaken as he patted his chest. "Too many scares tonight. Coach, I might need roast duck and fried chicken to calm down."

Xing Xing laughed. "Already ordered for you guys—you can eat when we get back."

Shen Kuangye once again went for the post-match interview as FMVP, this time with Cheng Rang.

The host asked, "That moment where you hid your tracks was incredibly precise. How did your team communicate that?"

Cheng Rang answered concisely, "Coincidence."

Shen Kuangye's style in interviews with Cheng Rang was completely different from when he was with Lu Xiangyang.

He was just as brief: "Mm."

Host: 🙂

They had just played a BO5 and everyone was exhausted, so the host asked a few simple questions and let them go.

Once they got on the bus, Shen Kuangye finally stretched his stiff neck.

Even though he had appeared calm during the match against ELLA, he was actually a bit uncertain inside—after all, no one knew ELLA's strength better than he did.

But fortunately, they won.

He glanced around the bus. Li Shu was happily scrolling through Weibo posts about EAR advancing, grinning as he said, "Did you guys see ELLA's expressions just now? I'm dying laughing, hahaha."

Cheng Rang had his eyes closed, resting. "Yeah. Felt like he wanted to hit you."

"Would he dare? I'm the future Autumn Champion," Li Shu bragged.

"Ahem." Yishui, ever superstitious, warned, "Don't celebrate too early."

Li Shu immediately covered his mouth and shut his eyes. "Heavens, please forgive me."

Which earned him laughter from Pei Xunan.

Shen Kuangye withdrew his gaze with a gentle expression.

Only then did he realize Lu Xiangyang hadn't said a word since getting on the bus.

He turned his head and saw Lu Xiangyang leaning on his hand, staring at him with bright, unblinking eyes.

Shen Kuangye pinched his cheek. "What are you looking at?"

Lu Xiangyang leaned in closer and whispered, "I'm looking at how happy you are, gege."

Shen Kuangye's lips pressed together instinctively.

Lu Xiangyang smiled and leaned close to his ear, whispering, "Being happy isn't something you need to hide. You should smile more, gege."

Shen Kuangye pursed his lips, about to refuse—when Lu Xiangyang added:

"You look even more handsome when you smile."

Shen Kuangye: "."

Xing Xing, who accidentally overheard from the front seat: "..."

Why does something about this feel… off?!

During EAR's matches these past few days, aside from Li Shu secretly checking, the rest of them didn't touch any social media platforms other than WeChat.

Online, the narrative had gone from: EAR will definitely be eliminated on Day 1, to EAR will definitely get crushed by ELLA, to it's already questionable whether ELLA can even make it past Day 3, and now to… Could EAR actually win the championship?

On Day 3 of the Autumn Finals, the rookie who had just joined the team not long ago—WILD—gave them the answer once again.

Because EAR defeated another IVL powerhouse, Elena.

And WILD once again took FMVP.

In most teams, FMVP usually goes to the hunter.

EAR's hunter SUN was already terrifying enough—a young "slaughter king" who consistently secured multi-eliminations every game.

But a survivor who could outperform even SUN's stats—and win FMVP three days in a row?

That was genuinely frightening.

Many clubs had set their sights on WILD. What Xing Xing once joked about had now become reality—numerous clubs had come asking about transfer opportunities.

Very quickly, the competition reached the final day.

Before the match, Xing Xing somehow got his hands on "victory cakes" (定胜糕), each stamped with their names, and had everyone eat one before going on stage.

"No way, bro, I only ate this during my college entrance exams," Pei Xunan said.

"What do you know? This stuff really works. If we eat it, we'll definitely win!" Yishui said.

Surprisingly, the entire EAR team went along with their superstition.

The pastry was a bit too sweet and rich. Shen Kuangye didn't like sweets, but he still finished it slowly.

The atmosphere on the final day was extremely tense.

Their opponent today was Circe.

This time, EAR had the home map, and they sent Lu Xiangyang out for the first round.

When Lu Xiangyang stepped onto the stage, EAR fans throughout the arena suddenly shouted in unison, "EAR will win!" The light boards in their section swayed continuously.

Lu Xiangyang glanced at them, then at the trophy on stage, and lowered his head as he walked forward.

In the preparation room, Shen Kuangye was suddenly handed a bottle of water. He turned and saw it was Xing Xing.

He felt that Xing Xing's gaze toward him was a bit strange, but all Xing Xing said was:

"Drink some water. Your lips are dry."

Only then did Shen Kuangye realize how dry his throat felt, he had been too focused just now.

He looked at the young man on the screen, seriously concentrating on the ban phase…

…and suddenly thought of his past self.

Lu Xiangyang's expression right now was exactly the same as his back then.

Lu Xiangyang's palms were full of sweat. After all, Circe's strength was undeniable—they were the only team in IVL that could rival ELLA.

In Shen Kuangye's memory, Circe's later decline was due to their female hunter injuring her hand, the substitute lacking experience and talent, and… ELLA producing someone like Shen Kuangye, who would risk everything just to win.

In the first round, Lu Xiangyang's Opera Singer barely managed a draw.

Shen Kuangye's side also couldn't gain an advantage against the opponent's Opera Singer—another draw.

One of the commentators today was famously known as the "overtime caster." He suddenly had a bad feeling.

Sure enough…

Second round. Third round. Fourth round. Fifth round…

Ups and downs—and all draws.

He wiped nonexistent sweat from his forehead. "Looks like we're heading into a prolonged stalemate battle?"

The later it went, the more it tested both the players' character pools and their stamina.

Even Shen Kuangye, when he finally went on stage, had sweat sliding down his temple.

He calmly wiped it with a tissue and carefully studied the opponent's ban-pick.

"This BP…" Yishui was about to speak—

When Shen Kuangye said, "Explorer."

The opposing hunter was a Bonbon player, also skilled with Axe Boy and Spider.

The large maps had already been played out. This round was Arms Factory.

Shen Kuangye wanted to take a gamble on Explorer.

There were better choices—but Yishui held back and simply nodded. "Okay."

When the selected character appeared on the big screen, even the commentators were surprised:

"Explorer?"

The other commentator sounded excited: "Is WILD finally bringing out the legendary Explorer again?"

As the pick was locked in, everyone saw it—

EAR—WILD had chosen a Broken Windows Explorer.

No one questioned Shen Kuangye's decision.

For some reason, they all trusted him.

The opposing hunter really did pick Bonbon.

At the start, Bonbon headed straight toward the Explorer's usual hiding spot in the big house.

The Explorer immediately shrank down and moved silently.

Bonbon searched outside but didn't see a single trace, so she began placing bombs to "clear the grass," determined to flush him out.

But she didn't overcommit—when she couldn't find him, she switched targets to Li Shu's Female Dancer.

"Target switched—heading toward shack."

Shen Kuangye reminded through voice chat.

"Got it."

Li Shu had already set up his music boxes, ready to solo.

Bonbon had a full stock of bombs—it was a huge challenge for Li Shu. He couldn't last long before getting blown up.

Just as he was about to be downed by one more hit, a mischievous idea suddenly came to him.

He slid into a corner of the big house ruins and crouched down, hidden by an untouched music box.

Commentator: "What is BOOK doing?"

Another commentator: "Maybe it's a tactic, but Bonbon probably won't—wait… she didn't see him??"

Bonbon walked right past Li Shu and headed elsewhere.

Only after walking several steps without finding anyone did she realize something was wrong and immediately turned back.

Li Shu had been grinning, ready to escape—but as he passed through Bonbon's web of bombs, he got blown down.

Only then did Bonbon finally find him.

"This is not scientific!" Li Shu shouted in voice chat.

At this point, the UI showed 3 ciphers left—but in reality, only 2 remained.

After finishing off Pei Xunan's First Officer's cipher, Shen Kuangye focused on decoding the last one.

Pei Xunan was always reliable at rescues. He timed it at half and rescued the Female Dancer, who then deliberately went down in a corner—since she couldn't kite anyway, better to waste time at the edge.

Seeing no advantage, Bonbon began draining everyone's resources. She still had teleport, planning to play the endgame at the gates.

But EAR's survivors gave her no chance.

She finally teleported and instantly downed the First Officer—

But Shen Kuangye's Explorer quietly crept over from not far away.

Bonbon, wary, laid down bombs. She chaired the First Officer near the big house triple pallet.

The gate was being opened by the Female Dancer—she couldn't stop it.

Nearby were a ready-to-strike Antiquarian and the ever-elusive Explorer.

Unable to hold back any longer, she teleported to stop the gate—

But it opened at that exact moment.

And the Explorer rescued the First Officer at the same time.

In the end, Bonbon could only watch as EAR's survivors walked out of the gate.

The score began tilting toward EAR.

When Shen Kuangye returned to the preparation room, he unexpectedly saw a familiar face.

Lin An—who was still undergoing treatment.

He was talking to Lu Xiangyang, who listened attentively.

"Brother Lin, what are you doing here?" Li Shu asked in surprise.

Lin An smiled. "How could I miss the finals? I should've arrived this afternoon, but I got delayed changing my dressing."

Everyone gathered around Lin An to chat.

Shen Kuangye sat beside Lu Xiangyang and asked quietly, "What were you talking about?"

"Match strategy," Lu Xiangyang replied.

He reached out and brushed aside Shen Kuangye's bangs, looking at his slightly tired face seriously.

"Gege, leave the rest to me."

This stalemate couldn't go on, Lu Xiangyang wanted to end the match early.

When he stepped onto the stage again, a commentator tried to lighten the mood:

"What kind of pick do you think SUN will bring out?"

"I feel like he might have a hidden Red Butterfly."

But Lu Xiangyang completely broke expectations.

He picked Gamekeeper.

"Gamekeeper?? SUN, you were hiding this deep?!"

The commentators were stunned.

Gamekeeper—a rarely used hunter in the current meta.

But Lu Xiangyang still chose him.

He was going to end this match.

The map was Leo's Memory.

At the start, he went straight to the big house to find the Prisoner, who immediately rotated.

The Prisoner had just reached the second floor, thinking he was in a blind spot—

When suddenly—

He got hooked back.

"You can hit that hook, SUN?!"

The commentators exploded.

The Prisoner took a hit and jumped down, but didn't last long before being downed.

At this point, only about one and a half ciphers had been completed.

The livestream chat exploded:

[AHHH IT'S HAPPENING TODAY!!]

[I can't watch anymore...Circe, please fight back!]

[I know we shouldn't celebrate early, but I can't help it—how do they even lose this?]

The good news for Circe was that the basement wasn't in the big house.

The Prisoner was placed on a chair near the stairs.

The Antiquarian and Wildling rushed over.

The Wildling took a hit to rescue, and the Antiquarian escorted the Prisoner toward shack.

But Lu Xiangyang ignored everything and went for a Blink attack—

A side hit instantly downed the Prisoner.

The Antiquarian tried desperately to protect him—but it was useless.

Gamekeeper chaired the Prisoner, glanced at cipher progress—

And as if he had wallhacks, went straight to where the Antiquarian and First Officer were healing.

One hook—perfectly landing on the Wildling, downing him instantly.

Then he returned to guard the Prisoner.

The Puppeteer rescued, trying to tank a hit—but it made no difference.

When there were still two ciphers left—

The Prisoner was eliminated.

Circe's survivors tried to aim for a three-escape—

But Lu Xiangyang gave them no chance.

At the very end, as the last survivor—the Wildling was about to escape through the gate—

Lu Xiangyang landed an extreme hook—

Pulling him back.

Four-elimination.

The entire arena erupted.

The commentator's voice turned hoarse:

"Let us congratulate EAR for winning the IVL Autumn Finals Championship!! Sharp blades are forged through grinding, and plum blossoms gain fragrance through hardship—congratulations to EAR!!"

The fans below had tears in their eyes, many already wiping them away.

From last place in the group stage… to barely squeezing into the finals…

Playing three consecutive exhausting days…

And still winning the championship.

Today, they proved to everyone—

This is EAR's resilience.

The moment Lu Xiangyang stood up, Li Shu rushed forward and hugged him tightly.

Tears streamed down his face as he rubbed them onto Lu Xiangyang's jacket.

Cheng Rang still looked as calm as ever, but when stepping on stage, he stumbled—only avoiding falling thanks to Pei Xunan catching him.

Shen Kuangye walked last.

He saw Lu Xiangyang looking up at the falling golden confetti, tears in his eyes…

…and slowly smiled.

Lu Xiangyang even reached up, grabbed a handful of the golden confetti, and carefully tucked it into his pocket.

The host, eyes glistening, said:

"Lift the trophy, EAR! It hasn't been easy—go and welcome the golden rain that belongs to you!"

And so...

Everyone watched as the boys in EAR jerseys rushed forward under dazzling lights—

And lifted the trophy that belonged to them.

During the post-match interview:

Li Shu tried to control himself at first, but eventually broke down, bowing repeatedly toward the audience as he choked out, "Thank you, everyone."

Cheng Rang lifted his head to speak—but his eyes had already turned red.

Pei Xunan managed better, at least able to talk, though his voice trembled after just a few sentences.

When it was Lu Xiangyang's turn, he wiped his eyes and looked at the sea of red from EAR's fans.

With a nasal voice, he said:

"Thank you all for your support and companionship. Before, you all bore so much pressure because of us… but today, I can finally fulfill the promise I made to you and say—"

His voice hoarse, he declared:

"We are the champions!"

Shen Kuangye seemed the most composed of them all—

But when he took the microphone, he realized his hands were trembling.

The host asked:

"WILD, over these past few days, you've taken on a high-pressure role—kiting, rescuing, even observing. At this moment, is there anything you'd like to say?"

Shen Kuangye lifted the mic. His Adam's apple bobbed.

"As long as I'm on the stage, I'll do my best every day. Please believe in EAR… and keep believing."

He wasn't someone who could say beautiful words.

But this was his promise.

Golden confetti rained down across the stage once again.

At the same time, trending topics exploded online—
