Aldoria City was built on power.
At the center of the city stood enormous towers of crystal and steel where the elite lived. These people possessed supernatural abilities known as Sovereign Marks. With these powers they hunted monsters, protected the city, and ruled society.
But far away from the shining towers was another part of the city.
The slums.
Broken buildings leaned against each other like tired giants. The streets were muddy, and the air smelled of rust and smoke.
In one small wooden house lived a seventeen-year-old boy named Aren Vale.
He sat quietly beside a candle, staring into its flickering flame.
Tomorrow would decide his future.
The Sovereign Awakening Ceremony.
Every seventeen-year-old citizen was required to attend. At the ceremony, a mysterious artifact called the Sovereign Stone would reveal their hidden ability.
Some awakened incredible powers and became hunters—warriors who fought monsters and earned fame and wealth.
Others awakened weaker abilities and worked as support staff.
But those who awakened nothing…
became nobody.
