Serena's POV
The kiss was like lightning.
Dante's hands were everywhere at once. In her hair. On her back. Pulling her closer like he was afraid she'd disappear. Serena felt the world tilt and suddenly her back was against the wall and his body was pressed against hers and she was wrapping her legs around him without even thinking about it.
Pure instinct.
The mate bond roared to life inside her chest like something waking from a long sleep. Heat flooded through every vein. Pleasure so intense it was almost painful shot through her body. She could feel Dante's need through the connection, could feel his wolf pushing against his skin, could feel him trying so hard not to lose control.
She didn't want him to have control.
She wanted this. Wanted him. Wanted his hands on her skin and his mouth on hers and the way the bond pulsed between them like a heartbeat. She pulled him closer, her fingers digging into his shoulders.
Dante growled against her mouth. The sound was pure animal.
"Say you're ours," he said between kisses. "Say it and I'll complete the bond right now."
Serena's entire body wanted to say yes. Wanted to give him everything. Wanted to stop fighting and just surrender to this.
Then something hit her like a shockwave.
Kael's Alpha command exploded through the training room with such force that the lights flickered.
STOP.
Dante went rigid against her. She felt him fighting the command, felt his body locked up as his wolf screamed in protest. But Alpha commands couldn't be disobeyed. They were law written into werewolf genetics.
He had to obey.
Dante's forehead pressed against hers as he fought to pull back. His breathing was ragged and his body was shaking with effort.
Kael stood in the doorway and he looked murderous.
His silver eyes were glowing so bright they hurt to look at. His hands were clenched into fists at his sides. The air around him crackled with barely contained power. She could feel the pain radiating off him through the bond. Real pain. The kind that made her chest ache.
"Leave," Kael said to Dante. His voice was ice and rage mixed together. "Now."
Dante tried to resist. She felt him fighting the command with everything he had. But after a few seconds of visible struggle, he peeled himself away from her and stumbled toward the door. His eyes met hers for one second and she saw the agony there. The need. The desperate hunger.
Then he was gone.
Kael stepped into the room and closed the door behind him.
Serena pressed herself harder against the wall, her heart pounding. She expected him to yell. Expected anger and accusations.
Instead he just stood there staring at her.
His control was hanging by a thread. She could see it in the way his jaw clenched. The way his hands shook at his sides. The way his eyes flickered between silver and something darker.
"Don't," he said finally. His voice was raw gravel. "Don't say anything."
"Kael—"
"You felt it," he said, stepping closer. Not touching her but backing her further against the wall until there was nowhere for her to go. "When you kissed him. The pleasure. The need. The rightness of it."
Serena's breath caught.
"I felt it too," Kael continued. His voice dropped lower. "Through him. Through the bond. I felt every moment of your desire and it nearly destroyed me."
She tried to speak but he held up a hand.
"We are twins," he said. "We are connected in ways you don't understand. When Dante feels something, I feel it. When you touched him, when you kissed him, when you wanted him, I felt all of it like it was happening to me. And it killed me because I wasn't the one making you feel that way."
Serena stared at him. His silver eyes were reflecting light like mirrors. She could see her own face in them, small and terrified and confused.
"You cannot kiss one of us without destroying the other," Kael said. "That's what you need to understand. A shared mate bond isn't just about three people feeling the same thing. It's about three people being connected so deeply that pain and pleasure and emotion becomes collective. When you give yourself to Dante, you give something to me too. And when you deny me, you deny him."
She wanted to argue. Wanted to say that wasn't fair. That she shouldn't have to be responsible for managing both their emotions.
But the truth was she understood exactly what he meant because she could feel it through the bond. Could feel the ache in Kael's chest like it was her own ache. Could feel how much he wanted to be the one pinning her against the wall instead of his brother.
"I don't know how to do this," Serena whispered.
Kael's expression softened. He was still not touching her but she could feel him, could sense his control hanging by a hair.
"Neither do we," he said quietly.
Then something shifted inside her. Some piece of understanding clicked into place. She'd spent her whole life trying to choose one thing or the other. Choose survival or trust. Choose safety or love. Choose one person or another.
But what if she didn't have to choose?
What if the answer was both?
Serena looked at Kael standing in front of her, pain written across his features. Thought about Dante in the hallway fighting an Alpha command just to stay near her. Felt the way both their emotions were tangled through the mate bond like they were already one person.
The bond wasn't asking her to choose between them.
It was asking her to choose them.
Both of them.
"What if I do not choose?" The words came out as a whisper but they felt enormous. Like they were rewriting something fundamental about her life.
Kael's eyes widened.
"What if I want you both?" Serena finished.
The room went absolutely silent.
Kael stared at her like she'd just said something impossible. Like she'd just spoken a truth that was going to change everything.
And in the hallway, separated by a single door, she felt Dante's shock mirror his twin's.
Through the bond, she could feel both of them realizing the same thing at the same moment.
She was theirs. All of her. Not divided. Not split between two men.
Both.
