"You went to sleep and just awoke in my bed… well i found you asleep in the forest you were a little roughed up i thought you wouldn't make it you had deep scars across your whole body"
That must have been why I was in pain…
"That would explain my pain when I woke up" it's simple really the fact i had scars across my whole body meant that the dudes body who i was inhabiting must have died sadly. I can only wonder what horrid situation ended up making him have those scars on him. Amilias face seemed to falter for a moment before smiling once again.
"Well enough about me tell me more about this forest and place?" i asked
"Well this place is called astropha. It's a magical forest located in the-" time seemed to jump for a second like time itself jumped so I wouldn't know where they were located.
'What was that?' Lunar thought his brain was going 100 miles an hour. It was like the universe itself was commanding that he never knew where this place was.
Amilia did not stop speaking to her as time went by normally as if not the slightest difference happened.
"Lunar? Are you okay? You look a little pale" Amilia said her voice sounded concerned and her eyes looked concerned.
"Y-yes i am fine im still wondering how i got here" the excuse was a simple one but it would work. Anyone would be a little beat after randomly getting transported to a whole new area you were before. Especially after just getting infected with the nightmare spell.
I don't know how long the spell usually takes for others. One guy I knew took him 3 weeks, another only 1. But for me it was less than a day. I hope that's not a bad thing.
"Ah, I see, it's early in the afternoon and I'm more than happy to let you stay here for as long as you need. But i will require compensation of course" a silly smile appeared on her face. Lunar should have known there would be a catch to his residency.
"I accept but what kind of compensation would you require?" Lunar asked in a neutral tone.
"Manual labor" Lunar was now very displeased; he should have expected this but he was not the brightest when it comes to reading a room.
"Such as?"
"Farm work, more specifically help with the animals. I have cows, chickens, and horses. I'm looking to get more though, there are few rabbits and small cats that wander around these parts so you will be helping with all of them" Amilia grabbed Lunar's had before he could react.
"So first I'll teach you how to ride a horse since you will need to know how to get around the farm! Unfortunately I only have two horses and the one your going to use still needs to be broken in… and he can be a little grumpy sometimes" this was all happening fast very fast
She opened the door of her house after dragging me outside. Lunar could honestly cry, the air was so fresh, something he had never experienced, the grass was so green, and the trees so tall. These were all things that Lunar had never experienced before he had never seen grass or smelt this type of air, it was so clean and smelt so good. For a few seconds Lunar just took it in and breathed.
"Um Lunar… are you okay? You act like you have never been outside before?" her smile once again faltered before returning.
"Yeah I'm just taking in the scenery its not everyday i see this"
Outside of the tiny cabin was a vast farm surrounded by forest, it was all tiny, the cows had maybe 6 acres of land, the chickens had barely a coop, and the stables where you would think would be the worst looking. It looked amazing like an architect and a god had a dream, it had red wood on the outside and an amazing fence where the stables were attached and the horses could move from grassland to shelter it a hairs breath.
The first horse Lunar saw was a brown haired beauty. It had a nice brown coat and its head was thin and slightly more colorful brown than the rest of its body. It was truly an amazing sight. But it was dwarfed in beauty by the one that sat beside it,
It was a pure white horse. It looked strong and powerful like it was the horse of royalty. It had strong legs and a strong neck. Its main was also of pure white and one could only imagine what the price would be if this wasn't a nightmare.
"That's the one you will be breaking in he's quite a handful so your going to have a fun time"
Lunar glanced at the girl to his left and sighed.
