Chapter 11 - The Alpha Courts His Mate

The moon hung low over the forest, silver light spilling through the trees.

Kael stood behind Lia, close enough that she could feel the heat radiating off him, his presence almost suffocating in its intensity. His golden eyes traced her every movement, lingering with an obsession that made her heart pound in a way she hadn't anticipated.

"You know," he murmured, voice low, almost a growl, "I've waited for this… for you… for us."

Lia shivered slightly, sensing the depth of his possessiveness, the intensity of the mate bond radiating between them. Every heartbeat, every glance, was a claim. He wanted her, all of her mind, magic, and heart and it was impossible not to feel it.

Kael reached out, tracing a light fingertip along the curve of her waist, leaning close enough that his breath warmed her ear. "You're mine," he whispered, teeth brushing just enough against her skin to make her shiver.

Lia's pulse raced. She could feel the connection of the bond, the magnetic pull that tied her to him. It wasn't just attraction. It was overwhelming. Intoxicating. Dangerous.

Kael's hand lingered, brushing along her side in a teasing, possessive motion. He leaned forward, lips capturing hers in a dominant kiss firm, intent, claiming but he pulled back before it went further. His golden gaze bore into hers, dark with obsession yet tender.

"You belong to me," he murmured, voice low, vibrating with both control and desire. "And I intend to remind you… every moment."

Lia's knees weakened slightly under the weight of the intensity. She could feel the bond throbbing between them, his possessive aura wrapping around her like a living thing. She tried to speak, but the words caught in her throat. His obsession, protective and overwhelming, was all-consuming.

Kael smirked softly, leaning close again, brushing a stray hair from her face. "Every glance, every heartbeat… mine. You feel it, don't you?"

"Yes," Lia whispered, breath trembling. "I… I feel you."

"Good," he purred, tilting her chin up with a gentle hand. "Because I'm never letting you go."

The pack watched from a distance, sensing the bond pulsing like a heartbeat in the forest. Even the younger wolves seemed to recognize the intensity between them, instinctively respecting the mate bond, aware that Kael's obsession was as protective as it was consuming.

Lia closed her eyes, letting herself lean into him, heart racing, mind reeling. Every touch, every whispered word, every possessive glance from Kael solidified the bond between them. This was more than attraction. This was claiming, devotion, and mate-love intensified by danger and obsession.

Kael's lips brushed hers again soft this time, almost playful and he laughed quietly, low and dark, a sound that sent shivers down her spine. "You can't hide from me," he murmured. "Not tonight. Not ever."

And in that moment, surrounded by the pack and the forest, Lia understood fully: this Alpha's obsession wasn't just dangerous it was the anchor that held her, the bond that protected her, and the fire that would consume them both.
