Evangeline walked through one of the academic buildings where the duke's daughter was supposed to be attending a lecture. The Phase Three commoner boy, Xion, was walking alongside her.
When she told him about her current predicament, he had readily offered to help her.
Xion turned to her and spoke in a friendly tone.
"Miss Evangeline, I did offer to help, but I don't think I would be able to do much to help you convince the duke's daughter. So, how about this? You will convince her, and I will convince your fiancé. Does this sound good?"
"Well, it's not like I have other options." She sighed. "I should be thankful that you are helping me at all, Xion."
"Oh, no, not at all." Xion shook his head. "We are teammates now, so it is only right that I help you."
After searching a bit more, they finally found Saria sitting in a lecture hall, quietly listening to the lecture. They waited by the door until the lecture came to an end and the cadets inside started leaving.
