Cedric pressed a finger gently against the Witch Queen's lips and said, "Quiet. The pain is only just beginning."
"Heal."
"Aaaaaah!"
The Witch Queen clutched her head and rolled on the ground in agony.
It was Cedric's first time using it like this, and he had clearly used too much force, but the effect was more than satisfactory.
After a long while, the Witch Queen slowly crawled up. Tears streamed down her face, smearing her makeup.
"Wipe your face."
"Yes, Master."
She hurriedly summoned clear water and washed her face clean.
Cedric stared.
Without makeup, she looked strikingly similar to Vanessa Enoteca, almost like a more mature version of her.
So they really are related.
"Come here."
The Witch Queen stepped forward obediently, lowering her head.
Looking at her bare face, Cedric felt his throat go dry. He still wanted to taste her.
"Control the Witch's Forest. When the time comes, I'll contact you."
"Yes, Master. Melf understands."
Melf. Not a bad name.
Flying Thunder God
Cedric returned to the base and went straight to Noelle Silva's room.
A fierce battle began.
"You bastard, are you a dog?"
"You're just too tempting."
Looking at Noelle, completely drained after using her magic, Cedric smirked and placed his hand on her body.
"Heal."
Her strength instantly returned.
The battle resumed.
The next morning
Noelle woke up sore all over.
Damn it. At this rate, she really would have to unite with the others and overthrow this tyrant.
"Uncle Jerel, take this communication jade to the villages in the Common Realm. Play the contents and observe their reactions."
The jade, developed by Duomina and Sally, could store both sound and images.
Inside were two songs performed by Gahno, the Akatsuki Organization's idol.
"Love and Peace."
"Freedom and Equality."
A storm was coming.
"Brother Cedric, you're really letting Master go out like that? Won't he get beaten to death?"
Cedric patted Mariella's head and said, "It's fine. If he can't win, he can run. I'm more worried the villagers will beat him for being a pervert."
Mariella sighed.
"Your face looks pale. How is Fana?"
Mars suddenly looked embarrassed.
"Don't tell Fana I'm here. Just say I've returned to the Diamond Kingdom. Until I fix that place, I won't come back."
"What are you talking about? That place is a mess."
"Where there's a will, there's a way. I'll do it."
Mars ran off quickly.
Cedric frowned.
What the hell happened to him?
"Brother Cedric, what do you think happened?"
"Who knows."
Cedric shrugged and headed toward the cafeteria.
Then he froze.
Jerel wasn't here.
That meant Duomina cooked.
This might be fatal.
"Mr. Cedric, where do you think you're going?"
Duomina stood there smiling, holding a bubbling purple dish.
"Dinner is ready. I made fish soup."
That color is a warning sign.
"Duomina... the color is a bit intense."
"If it looks good, drink more."
That was not a suggestion. That was a threat.
"I'm starving. Is there food?"
Fana walked in like a savior.
"Perfect timing. Come try this."
Cedric placed the entire bowl in front of her.
"What a strange soup. Whatever."
She drank it in one go.
Respect. Absolute respect.
"Not bad. Another bowl."
Thud.
Fana collapsed.
"Ella, take her to Sally."
Once everyone left, Duomina stared at the soup.
"Maybe I should taste it."
She took a sip.
"Blegh. What is this? Still better than last time. Next time I'll use less salt."
"Sally, check what's wrong with Fana."
"Alright, leave it to me."
Sally pushed them out and locked the door.
Inside the lab
Fana lay on the operating table.
Sally held a scalpel, eyes shining.
"Such a perfect specimen. Where should I begin?"
"Brother Cedric, do you think she'll dissect Fana?"
"Probably not."
"She dissects those white creatures every day. She almost dissected Gahno once."
"Why didn't you say that earlier?"
Cedric kicked the door open.
Inside
Sally was calmly drinking coffee.
Fana lay peacefully with an IV drip.
"Is she okay?"
"She's fine. It was just her first time. She lost too much fluid. A drip will fix it."
First time?
Mars, you bastard.
"Take care of her. Also, I heard you almost dissected Gahno."
"I was just scaring her."
Sally smiled.
"Mr. Cedric, do you want to see Korie?"
"Korie?"
"Our child."
She pushed forward a cradle.
Inside was a pale, humanoid creature.
"Our child is cute, right?"
Cedric stared.
It actually looked… decent.
"Cute. Keep watching Fana. I'll be back."
"Come back later for a physical exam."
"Brother Cedric, what does she mean by physical exam?"
Mariella looked up innocently.
Cedric paused.
"That's not something you need to know."
Some knowledge is better left unknown.
