Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 Hello, can you fly?

"That's my home's door."

There was nothing wrong with the sentence, but it made people's mouths twitch involuntarily.

Tony's hand, holding a wine glass, paused.

His brows furrowed tightly again.

Bifrost Bridge?

He had just understood what the term represented from Jane Foster and his discussion.

And now, Leon was calmly telling him that it was his home's door?

F*ck! Was this showing off?

Tony was suddenly a bit speechless. What could he say?

Say, "Oh, your home's door is quite unique. Is it voice-activated or touch-sensitive? Can it connect to Wi-Fi?"

No, that was too stupid.

Tony forced himself to calm down, his brain racing, beginning to process the information in Leon's words.

Odinson.

This was a typical Norse surname, meaning "son of Odin."

Combined with the other party's previous actions, and the "we knew all along but we're not saying" expressions on Jane Foster's face and the others.

An absurd, yet seemingly reasonable, conjecture began to surface in his mind.

He glanced again at Leon's eyes, faintly shimmering with golden light. That wasn't an effect that contact lenses could achieve, absolutely not.

So if it wasn't the effect of contact lenses, then what could it be? So hard to guess!

Tony fell silent.

For the first time in his life, he didn't know how to retaliate with words.

Because the other party had already taken the conversation to a point where it couldn't continue.

What could he say?

"Hello, can you fly? Can you also shoot heat vision from your eyes?"

Although Jane Foster and the other two standing by had already learned of Leon's identity from him.

But knowing was one thing; hearing him casually refer to the Bifrost Bridge as his home's door, the shock in their hearts was still immeasurable.

Bifrost Bridge as a home's door? Asgard? I really want to go there once!!

Jane's breathing quickened, and her expression became excited.

She didn't know why, but she suddenly felt an urge to clench her thighs.

Damn it, why was Leon so handsome?!

Of course, besides that, the matter of the Bifrost Bridge also shocked her immensely.

Tony just found it preposterous, but Jane, she saw a whole new set of physical laws!

If the Bifrost Bridge was a man-made door for interstellar travel, then it must follow a stable theoretical system!

What did this mean?

It meant that all her past research had only been at the doorstep, while Leon held the key to the main hall!

She looked at Leon as if she was seeing a walking universal truth.

She wished she could pounce on him right now, and then hehehe... Of course, she only dared to think about it. Leon was too strong; she was afraid she might accidentally ascend.

Darcy opened her mouth, then closed it, repeating several times, and finally couldn't resist, quietly poking Professor Erik beside her with her elbow.

"Hey, Professor," she whispered, lowering her voice.

"Did you hear that? He said the Bifrost Bridge is his home's door. How much electricity bill does his home have to pay?"

Erik was in no mood to deal with her complaints at the moment.

His brain was also experiencing a storm.

He knew that in mythology, the bridge connecting Asgard and the Nine Realms was called the Bifrost Bridge.

Now, the prince of mythology had personally confirmed the truth of the mythology.

Erik didn't know how to describe this feeling, although it wasn't the first time; it was like seeing an idol in person.

Leon greatly enjoyed the varied expressions of the crowd.

Especially Tony.

He could clearly feel that the genius's inner pride was being dismantled bit by bit.

But he was using sarcasm and feigned indifference to disguise himself, trying to maintain his last shred of dignity.

This feeling of struggle, in his opinion, was exceptionally interesting.

"What's wrong, Mr. Stark," Leon's lips curved slightly upward, breaking the silence.

"Do you have any special opinions about my home's door? Or do you want to visit it? But I have to warn you, the ticket might be a bit expensive."

Tony took a deep breath and showed a smile.

He drained the wine in his glass, the red wine sliding down his throat, restoring a touch of clarity to him.

He couldn't be led by the nose by the other party anymore.

"No need for a visit." Tony put down his wine glass and shrugged.

"I'm not interested in visiting other people's doorsteps, especially one that sounds so ostentatious."

He walked around the bar and went to his workstation.

His fingers slid casually across the holographic screen, as if he was handling some important official business, and his tone also became understated.

"However, I'm becoming more and more curious about your intentions. Mr. Leon Odinson, right? A guy who claims to be a god, knows all my secrets, and can use my AI as his personal remote control, you came all the way here to me, surely not just to bring three... hmm, scholars, for an academic exchange?"

He deliberately paused, glancing at Jane and the other two, the scrutiny in his eyes self-evident.

"Moreover, you were so kind as to help me solve a problem. Based on my many years of experience in the business world, this usually means you want to get something of higher value from me."

Tony regained control of the conversation's rhythm.

He no longer dwelled on the other party's abilities but brought the issue back to his most familiar territory.

In his opinion, whether the other party was a god or a ghost, as long as he had a purpose, there was something to talk about.

Leon watched him quickly adjust his mindset, not only not getting angry but even showing a slight smile.

He was indeed much more resilient than he had imagined.

"That's right," Leon nodded crisply, acknowledging Tony's guess.

"I do need a small favor from you."

He walked to the floor-to-ceiling window again, looking down at the bustling city below.

"I helped you because you are still useful to me. And I need your help also because I think it would be more interesting for you to do this."

Tony's eye twitched.

This way of speaking annoyed him more than directly discussing a transaction.

What did "still useful" mean? What did "more interesting" mean?

This guy really treated him like a tool.

"Tell me," Tony's tone was flippant.

"I'd like to know what it is that you, a god, cannot do, and need me, a mortal, to help with."

Leon turned around, looking at him with a smile on his lips.

"Oh, I certainly can do it. It's just that I'm too lazy to do it myself."

He paused, his gaze drifting to the suitcase in the corner of the laboratory.

"I need you to rapidly develop your technology."

Tony was stunned.

He had envisioned countless possibilities.

Leon might want money, technology, or his help in creating some divine artifact.

But he never expected that the other party's request was for him to upgrade his own equipment?

"Are you kidding me?" Tony's brows furrowed tightly.

"Make me develop my own technology? I do that every day. What does that have to do with you?"

Leon looked at the other party's puzzled expression and suddenly laughed.

"Purpose? My purpose is very simple."

He walked back to the lounge chair, lay down leisurely, and picked up the smoothie.

"Because my two good-for-nothing brothers will soon be coming to Earth."

He shook his head, his tone casual.

"One of them is arrogant and conceited, always thinking he's invincible. The other one is dark-minded and always likes to play little tricks."

"Life in Asgard is too comfortable, making them develop a lot of bad habits. I think Earth is a very suitable place for them to get a taste of society's harsh realities."

"So." Leon took a sip of his smoothie and said casually.

"I need you to make your tin toys more powerful. Preferably, when they land confidently, they'll find Iron Man suits that can grind them into the ground, and weapons everywhere that can lock onto them."

"I just want to see what expressions they'll have when their proud strength and wisdom are crushed by what they call mortals."

"That's all."
