Aria couldn't stop staring at the photo on Rohan's phone.
The blurry image clearly showed a page from their marriage contract.
Her stomach twisted.
"This is bad," she whispered.
Kabir ran a hand through his hair. "If Dev leaks that photo to the media, we're finished."
Rohan looked calm on the outside, but Aria could see the tension in his eyes.
"He won't leak it yet," Rohan said.
Aria frowned. "How are you so sure?"
"Because he wants to play with the situation first," Rohan replied. "Dev enjoys drama."
Kabir nodded slowly. "Which means we need to move faster."
Aria crossed her arms. "You mean the fake honeymoon idea?"
Kabir pointed at her.
"Exactly."
Aria sighed.
"So the plan is to run away on a romantic trip while someone threatens to expose our biggest secret?"
Kabir shrugged.
"Pretty much."
Rohan looked at her.
"Think of it this way — the media will follow us, which means Dev will have less room to manipulate the story."
Aria rubbed her temples.
"This is officially the strangest marriage in history."
Kabir checked his tablet again.
"The good news is the media already expects something romantic from you two."
Aria groaned.
"Why?"
Kabir turned the screen toward her.
The latest headline read:
"ROHAN MALHOTRA AND HIS WIFE EXPECTED TO LEAVE FOR HONEYMOON SOON."
Aria stared at it.
"Are reporters psychic now?"
Rohan smirked slightly.
"They're just guessing."
Aria sighed.
"Fine. If we're doing this fake honeymoon, where are we going?"
Kabir smiled.
"I already booked the tickets."
Aria narrowed her eyes.
"You planned this very quickly."
Kabir looked proud.
"That's my job."
Rohan glanced at the screen.
"Where?"
Kabir answered casually.
"Goa."
Aria blinked.
"A beach honeymoon with a fake husband and paparazzi chasing us."
Rohan looked at her calmly.
"You're describing it like a disaster."
Aria pointed at the contract photo on his phone.
"Because it is a disaster."
Rohan slipped his phone back into his pocket.
"We'll deal with Dev later."
Aria looked down at the ring on her finger.
It sparkled quietly under the light.
A symbol of a fake marriage.
But somehow it had already dragged her into a life full of secrets, cameras, and dangerous enemies.
Kabir clapped his hands suddenly.
"Alright. You two leave tomorrow morning."
Aria looked horrified.
"Tomorrow?!"
Kabir nodded.
"The sooner the better."
Rohan walked toward the door.
"Start packing."
Aria stared at him.
"You're unbelievably calm for someone whose secret might explode any moment."
Rohan paused and looked back at her.
"That's because panic won't fix anything."
Aria sighed.
"Great. My fake husband is also annoyingly logical."
But as she walked toward her room, one thought refused to leave her mind.
Someone had taken a picture of their contract.
Which meant someone had been close enough to access it.
Close enough…
to betray them.
And if that person revealed themselves during the trip…
Their fake honeymoon could quickly turn into a nightmare.
