Chapter 179 - Chapter 179: The Traps of Greed and Deceit

Snigdha stood inside the room, clinging to her despicable arrogance and seductive demeanor. Stepping towards the door with a coy smile, she said, "Why are you so angry, handsome man? Why do you want to chase me out of your room? You are the much-awaited new Prime Minister of this Kingdom of Rupnagar, aren't you? The one around whom so much drama is planned for this evening! My eyes are so soothed seeing a handsome Prime Minister like you!"

Hearing Snigdha's delusion and uninvited words, the young man grew grave and crossed his arms over his chest. Expressing extreme annoyance, he said, "Stop your madness, Princess! I am not any new Prime Minister of this Kingdom of Rupnagar! My name is Jishnu. I am the only son of a remarkably wealthy landlord from your own Kingdom of Junagarh. Right in the neighboring region, we have a vast ancestral estate and immense property. I have no shortage of wealth, gold, money, or diamonds and jewels! But I possess neither the capability nor the desire to manage such a huge royal palace or become the Prime Minister of a nation! So now you know who I am, right? Now please leave my personal room!"

The moment Snigdha heard Jishnu speak of his vast properties and status as a wealthy landlord, her eyes sparkled with joy! All the annoyance in her mind evaporated in an instant. She began hatching a cunning scheme in her mind with utmost glee: 'Ah! This is truly a golden goose! So what if he isn't the Prime Minister of Rupnagar? He is the son of an immensely rich party from our own Kingdom of Junagarh! With the amount of gold and property Jishnu possesses, my whole life will be spent lounging on a golden bed! This Jishnu is a thousand times better than a useless cow like Rupanjan! Rupanjan was nothing but a complete fool and the son of a farmer! Who knows in which kingdom he is doing daily wage labor in search of work! He actually had the nerve to tell me that he would only show his face after finding work and gaining respect! I have better things to do than marry that useless farmer's son! God did well to place me face to face with this wealthy Jishnu today! I will now charm this Jishnu and marry him! But before that, I need to check—can Jishnu build a palace of my liking and keep me like a reigning queen?'

Without delaying a moment, Snigdha unlatched the door pretending to leave, only to turn around again. Stepping toward Jishnu with a sweet and alluring voice, she said, "Jishnu! My name is Princess Snigdha. I am the chief princess of our Kingdom of Junagarh! Tell me, did you recognize me?"

Pretending to be slightly surprised, Jishnu replied, "No, Princess! I have never seen you face to face before. But learning of your royal identity, I am truly quite astonished! Are you really a princess?"

Tossing her head in arrogance, Snigdha boasted, "Yes, of course! Would I lie to you? Anyway, let me get straight to the point. The moment I laid eyes on you, I took a great liking to you, Jishnu! I have decided that I will make you the sole life partner of my journey! I am ready to marry you. However, I have one special condition!"

Curious, Jishnu asked, "What condition, Princess?"

Spreading her arms in a majestic posture, Snigdha declared, "You must build me a personal royal palace as vast, ornate, and dazzling as this Rupnagar Palace for me to live in! Can you do that? I heard you are wealthy landlords with plenty of money and diamonds! Although, being a princess, my father's wealth is far greater than yours, still, you must build this new palace for me using your own money! Can you fulfill this desire of mine?"

Hearing Snigdha's condition, Jishnu laughed inside with fiendish joy. Employing his villainous cunning, he plotted a sinister scheme in his mind: 'Ha ha ha! What a turn of events! Pure gold has come and walked right into my bag! For so many years, I idly dreamed of sitting on a throne of wealth and ruling; now, by seducing this arrogant, beautiful princess, that dream will easily come true! Her appearance is quite stunning, but it is clear from her talk that she is a first-class arrogant, foolish idiot! Excellent, a foolish and arrogant girl like her is exactly what I needed! First, I will charm her with the drama of marriage, and then, given the right opportunity, I will eliminate this princess and her entire family to seize all of Junagarh's land, kingdom, and vast palace all for myself! But before that, it is crucial to find out who else stands as a thorn in her family!'

Putting on an expression of extreme humility and affection, Jishnu said softly, "Ah, Princess! What is there to fail in this? If you command, I will start the construction of that massive royal palace starting tomorrow! Whatever you desire, this Jishnu will bring it in an instant and lay it at your feet!"
