Chapter 3: Lessons in Patience
Every day after school, Liam began visiting the shop. Mr. Barnaby taught him that a clock doesn't run just because of its hands; it runs because of the tiny, invisible gears inside.
"Life is like a clock, Liam," Mr. Barnaby said one rainy afternoon. "Sometimes a gear gets stuck because of grief or fear. You don't throw the whole clock away; you clean the gears with patience and start again." Liam realized that he had been trying to ignore his pain instead of healing it.
