Court Room
"I knew my father was innocent, only I never knew how to prove this,"
"Mr. Staf, I can't thank you enough for saving my father."
I had my eyes on her the whole time as she was talking about her father, who was standing nearby smiling back at me.
"What were you going to tell me about…"
I trailed off a bit as I was hesitant on taking her name.
"My mother?"
Ann hesitated.
I exhaled.
"Ann, I just freed your father, you told me you had something…now…tell."
Ann took a deep breath.
"This is something I've kept hidden for a long time."
"My father was innocent because…"
She trailed off again.
"He never stole those confidential files,"
"It was someone else, whom no one would ever suspect."
"My father worked in the accounts department,"
"There was no reason for him to wander towards Imelda's office, let alone the confidential file room,"
"That only Imelda and Fredrick had access to."
