on the same day of Eldrin's fall
On a giant Metal fortress, more than a million Super soldiers were standing in order, looking towards a large podium in the distance.
Futuristic Helicopters were flying around, live-streaming this Magnificent scene of pure unity to all bunkers and arcs in the human empire.
A man then walked onto the podium in a black combat suit, he was Erskine, the current leader of the human empire.
After a few moments, he put his hands behind his back and he finally spoke in a solemn tone that held a trace of visible fury.
"Today, humanity has lost its greatest protector"
"The Darkling, in his effort to slow down the Alien fleet to buy time for those who chose to remain divided, has fallen in battle, but not before taking out the majority of the alien fleet, leaving only less than 100,000 of them"
He then spoke loudly, his anger finally taking control.
"HOWEVER, HIS SACRIFICE WILL NOT BE IN VAIN!"
"WE WILL AVENGE HIM!"
"WE WILL DESTROY THE ALIEN FLEET AND ALL REMAINING KREE-SKRULLS WILL BOW TO THE WHOLE HUMANITY, AND WILL REMEMBER THIS, AS THE LAST DAY OF THEIR EXISTENCE!"
He then saluted and said loudly.
"FOR THE LIGHT, FOR HUMANITY AND FOR THE DARKLING!"
THUD!
Over a million super soldiers simultaneously gave a salute, including all the people in the arcs and bunkers.
The Darkling was the great protector of humanity.
Mothers told stories about his great deeds, grandfathers told their stories of being rescued by him from the wicked organization called Hydra, history teachers in schools considered him a deity who chose to intervene in mortal affairs, there were even action figures of him being sold in almost all stores, and today, he gave his life to save the divided.
And because of that, the Kree-Skrull have angered humanity as a whole; their death won't be painless.
Inside Erskine's office, the atmosphere was grim.
"Adam, have the divided nations completed their evacuations?" asked Erskine in a serious tone.
"Yes sir, all divided nations have successfully evacuated their citizens" answered Adam.

"They made it just in time; had it not been for Eldrin's sacrifice, we would have been attacked 2 days ago, the casualties of the divided would have been catastrophic" said Dr.Abrahams with relief.
But then muttered with sadness while looking at the dark sky outside his window.
"Thanks Eldrin, I will not fail you"
After a few moments, he turned his attention towards Adam and said with a steeled resolve.
"Give the order to all military facilities of the human empire to activate arc reactor-powered weapons and lock into the fleet's location"
"Any spaceship that attempts to enter the atmosphere will be shot down, we will show them that infiltration is impossible"
"We also need to make them think that they could take us, so save the tesseract-powered weapons for a surprise attack"
At the nearest military facility of the human empire, a general said in a serious tone.
"Orders from Director Erskine himself, activate the arc cannons and lock in to the alien fleet outside the atmosphere"
Similar events happened to all military facilities in the human empire.
Outside the Earth's atmosphere, was an alien fleet.
Inside the Kree-Skrull mothership stood the Kree-Skrull Imperial Minister, who then said.
"Send 2000 ships in all regions to infiltrate their ranks"
After the order was given, 2000 spaceships separated from the fleet and entered Earth's atmosphere, but not long after.
BOOOM!
BOOOM!
They were destroyed by the Arc cannons.
"It seems they already know we are here" said the Kree-Skrull Imperial minister in surprise, and continued with a calm tone.
"Infiltration is impossible"
"With our reduced numbers, we can't afford sacrifices, but their weapons are not much of a threat to our force fields"
He then said.
"Track the region of those bases and initiate planetary bombardment with Kree ballistic missiles"
After he gave those orders, medium-sized spaceships started firing towards the precise locations of those bases.
In almost an instant, hundreds of locations around Europe were struck.
In one of the many military facilities.
A general asked unconcerned.
"status of the durability of the force fields?"
"99% general" answered an AI similar to Adam.
The hundreds of military facilities that were struck remained unharmed, protected by arc-reactor-powered force fields.
And naturally, those bases fired back with arc-Reactor-powered cannons towards the alien fleet.
"Incoming attacks from multiple regions sir" reported a Kree-Skrull.
The Kree-Skrull minister said unconcerned.
"Pay no mind to their attacks; they won't do anything"
"They are merely inferior laser weapons after all"
He then paused and said.
"What about the status of those bases?"
They are unharmed sir,they seem to possess force fields too.
The Kree-Skrull Imperial Minister then thought grimly.
"We cannot win a war of attrition"
"Our resources are limited, but they have a whole planet, and although they can't do anything to us with those weapons, we also can't do anything to them"
"Infiltration is also impossible"
"The wisest option would be to retreat and call for backup" though the leader of the Kree-skrulls.
"Damn it, that's the inferior technology that our informants talked about!?" he said tired and angry.
He then gave an order.
"We retreat now, we will temporarily reside on Mars while waiting for backup"
Back in Erskine's office.
"They are retreating sir, they seem to be heading towards Mars" said Adam.
"What?" Erskine said confused.
"Did Eldrin weaken them so much that they are now scared of arc-powered weapons?"
But then he was reminded of something" but now that I think about it, it said on that paper that the original fleet was 700,000, but now they are only a little over 97.000 spaceships remaining"
"They can't afford a war of attrition with only 97.000 spaceships, but if they had their entire fleet of 700.000, a war of attrition could be fought; we also wouldn't have been capable of focusing on infiltrators"
He then gave an order.
"fire the tesseract-powered weapons, leave no one alive"
Back to the now retreating alien fleet.
"Sir, we have detected energy beams of unknown nature coming towards our fleet" said a Kree Skrull with anxiety towards the Kree Skrull imperial minister, who then turned and said confused.
"Wh-"
BOOOM!
But unfortunately for him, he couldn't finish speaking because he and his whole fleet disintegrated into nothing.
