Chapter 76 - Sample's

"A rather unsettling sight"said Eldrin as he looked at the billions of bodies that formed a ring around Viltrum.

The usually calm Cecil watched in horror at the terrifying sight; never in his life had he seen so many corpses.

"What the hell happened? How did so many die?!"exclaimed Cecil in horror.

Eldrin's eyes narrowed as he recounted the lore of this world.

"The scourge Virus...a virus made by a fellow viltrumite in an attempt to put viltrumites in their place, however it killed hundreds of billions and in the end, it was all in vain, viltrumites never learned, they kept thinking they were superior, that everything belonged to them"spoke Eldrin as he looked at the billions of corpses floating in space.

Cecil was shocked, but then he thought about something.

"So the scourge viruses could kill Viltrumites"thought Cecil as he started thinking about plans.

Eldrin without looking at Cecil said.

"Try not to accidentally wipe out humanity by experimenting with lethal viruses. To be a protector, you need something to protect."

Cecil's eyes twitched at Eldrin's comment, but he nodded.

Erskine had already ordered his fleet to start collecting the bodies.

Eldrin looked at Erskine and said.

"Why don't you use your authority over space to collect the bodies?"

Erskine nodded and answered.

"I thought of that.. but I'm afraid it will alert the enemy; bending space isn't exactly the best when it comes to stealth, unless they can't notice portals as large as the moon."

Eldrin couldn't refute that and said.

"How about this? Throw a couple of advanced tesseract-powered atomic bombs at them, which will distract them enough for you to transport all the bodies."

Eldrin's eyes lit up and he grinned. He turned on the communication channels and gave the order.

100 advanced tesseract-powered atomic bombs shot straight toward Viltrum. They were enough to disintegrate 2 continent's, causing irreparable damage to the planet's surface.

Erskine had already started creating multiple portals, almost the size of the moon, transporting them to an underground base that was specifically made for this.

Eldrin was overlooking certain flying figures around 36 of them, just as one of the bombs was about to hit the ground,a man appeared and clapped his palms with such force that it created a shockwave strong enough to send the bombs flying into outer space.

BOOOOOOOM!

Catastrophic waves of tesseract and nuclear energy were released from the bombs; The range of those waves was bigger than the moon.

The man's head snapped toward the cloaked spaceships; he couldn't actually see them; he just calculated their possible location from the bomb's trajectory.

The man's eyes were filled with cold fury, and in an instant, he disappeared from his location.

Back into the earth in a titanic underground base, seemingly endless mountains of bodies were piled on each other. They were sealed in a gigantic room that sprayed endless gases into the room to kill any bacteria or viruses.

"How many samples?"asked Erskine in a cheerful tone that completely opposed the terrifying sight before them. Even Eldrin was unsettled when looking at such a large number of bodies.

The scientist looked at the results and said with a shaky voice.

"30..Billion sir."

Erskine nodded in satisfaction but then frowned.

"We may have to make a few more trips."

Back into Viltrum, 36 Viltrumites were standing with their hands behind their back respectfully awaiting their regent's orders.

A tall man with a magnificent haircut and mustache was sitting on the throne, holding a broken skull and intently looking at it.

After a tense and awkward silence, he looked at the 36 viltrumite's and spoke with his deep voice.

"Have you found the one who was daring enough to attack us?"

A man with a cybernetic eye stepped forward and said respectfully.

"I'm afraid not, Grand Regent. Those cowards fled the moment their bombs were deemed ineffective."

Thragg's expression showed a trace of disdain at the cowardice of the enemy, and he spoke.

"Find them; such a pathetic attempt to attack us will not be tolerated."

Kregg and the rest of the Viltrumites saluted.

"Your words, our deeds."

Cecil was shouting at his staff in urgency to buy large amounts of the new serum before they were sold out.

After 30 minutes, a scientist exclaimed.

"We have successfully bought around one hundred thousand of those serum's sir."

Cecil smirked smugly at his victory.

After a couple of minutes, a giant floating futuristic spaceship arrived right outside the base and delivered the serum's.

Cecil's expression was thoughtful; he was planning to create an army of those knew hybrid's,but there was one problem: how could we control them?

Eldrin appeared right beside the thoughtful Cecil and said.

"That's the neat thing, you don't..trying to control other's alway's lead's to disasters, just make them unwilling to betray you by making them an offer they cannot refuse."

Cecil looked at Eldrin with a blank stare.

"Do you know about human nature? Greed, lust, ego, pride, everyone can develop those; giving everything they want doesn't necessarily mean that they will listen."

Eldrin answered.

"Those could be satiated,if someone is greedy, give them something that they think is valuable when in reality it is junk, you could manipulate people's perception fairly easily, just convince them that dirt and stone are more valuable than gold,if someone is lustful, make androids or sex dolls that mimic human appearance to almost perfection,if someone has the ego the size of the sun,you could always hire actor's whose sole purpose is to play along to his delusion's"

Eldrin's eyes showed amusement.

"Human nature is the easiest to manipulate and satisfy.Such people will be unwilling to part with their fulfilled desires. They will listen."
