Eldrin Michael Sebastian and Erskine stood across a blue portal, all looking at it with uncertainty, while Michael looked at it with wonder.
Erskine leaned toward Eldrin and whispered.
"Are you sure this is a good idea? We don't know what kind of world is on the other side"
Eldrin nodded and patted Erskine on the shoulder.
"Worst-case scenario, we rush back to the portal and hope whatever is on the other side doesn't follow"
Erskine looked at Eldrin with concern.
"That doesn't sound reassuring whatsoever"
Eldrin waved his hand and casually walked into the portal along with Michael and Sebastian, who followed right after.
What greeted the three of them was the blinding light of the sun and what seemed to be a forest.
But instead of feeling relieved by the lack of civilisation, they were horrified by a rather cool-looking orange ball with 4 stars.
Sebastian's face paled, and actual cold sweat started streaming down his face.
"M-My lord should we flee?"
Eldrin himself felt horrified by the grim reality of their situation.
They had opened a portal to the Dragon Ball world.
"What a disaster"
Muttered Eldrin in terror as he stared at the Dragon Ball beneath their feet.
He looked at Sebastian with utmost seriousness.
"We need to learn about the timeline "
But Sebastian looked relieved and replied casually.
"Already sent shadow clones; it's a few days before Kid Goku's space pod crashed"
Eldrin, too, sighed in relief; they had a chance to gain strength before things went south.
Master Roshi himself had very similar strength to Eldrin's original body, but it was manageable.
Eldrin thought for a while.
"We need the Dragon Balls to gain strength quickly, though I'm not certain if it could rid me of my curse"
Sebastian nodded in agreement, but there was something that puzzled him.
"Do we have ki?"
Eldrin looked at him with confusion.
Sebastian explained.
"Isn't ki essentially lifeforce, something that we both possess "
Eldrin's eyes lit up.
"You are correct; we both have infinite lifeforce so wouldn't that mean that we have infinite ki?"
But he laughed.
"Not how it works; I'm afraid"
Sebastian's eyes dimmed from disappointment; that would be too good to be true after all.
But they lit up the next moment as the shadows all over the planet communicated with him.
"The shadows have located all 7 Dragon Balls, my lord"
Locating a specific object was of no issue to someone like Eldrin or Sebastian, who could control and communicate with shadows.
The Dragon Balls were all teleported right beneath Eldrin's feet.
Sebastian wasted no time and chanted.
"Come forth Shenron and grant my wish!"
A blinding light came out of the Dragon Balls, and a giant, majestic green dragon manifested, its red eyes locked at the three people before it.
It spoke with a deep voice.
"I am the Eternal Dragon. State your wish!"
Sebastian cleared his throat and spoke.
"Grant Eldrin immunity to all curses"
The dragon, after a while, answered.
"That wish is beyond my power"
Sebastian looked at Eldrin, who nodded.
Sebastian sighed and spoke.
"Grant all three of us the ability to wield and manipulate Ki"
The dragon, after a pause, spoke.
"It is an easy task... your wish has been granted"
Blinding golden lights engulfed all three figures.
Eldrin sensed the new energy coursing through his shadow-like body and nodded with satisfaction.
Meanwhile.
Back on Earth, Eldrin the restless was suddenly engulfed in a golden light.
He chuckled as he felt the ki coursing through his body.
He had started with quite a high amount, a power level of 100,000.
Eldrin extended his arms towards the endless army of mindless ones and shot pitch-black ki blasts.
And what followed were devastating explosions that shook the earth.
Eldrin had purposely limited the strength of the ki blasts so he wouldn't blow up the whole planet.
Eldrin laughed as he noticed something.
Since his lifeforce was essentially infinite, ki consumption wasn't even a concern, as he consumed none.
He was like an android but with truly infinite ki reserves that never depleted.
Ne nodded with satisfaction and covered his scythe with pitch-black ki, strengthening it to insane levels.
Back to the Dragon Ball world.
The dragon disappeared along with the Dragon Balls, spreading them to random locations on the whole planet.
Sebastian, without looking at Eldrin, asked.
"Should we head to Planet Namek?"
Eldrin's clone looked up at the sky and, after a while, nodded.
"That would be the best course of action since earths dragon balls have entered a countdown"
He glanced at Sebastian, analysing his power level, and to his surprise, it was 70,000.
As for Michael, he was quite the monster too, having a power level of 20 thousand, he was still a kid, by the way; once he grew into an adult, his power level would be terrific.
Eldrin walked up to Michael and gently ruffled the rascal's long black hair.
"Time to go on a little trip"
