Camilla kept her face completely blank, but inside her head, she was rolling her eyes so hard they almost hurt.
"Another drama queen," Camilla thought to herself, her internal voice completely unimpressed. "Just another fake actor after that pink puppy, Isabel. Why is this novel filled with so many people who love to pretend?"
She looked at his hand resting lightly on the sleeve of her yellow dress. She wanted to snap his fingers backward. But she knew that playing a game was much more fun than just hitting someone.
Camilla put on a very sweet, very gentle smile. She softly pulled her arm away from his touch, acting like a shy, polite lady.
"Don't worry, Garren," Camilla spoke out loud. Her voice was as soft and sweet as honey. She looked at him with innocent, grateful eyes. "Thank you for all you have done. It is very kind of you to visit Zade."
