Kakashi stepped forward, gaze landing on three very tired genin.
Sakura, Kiba, Choji
"You have some work ahead of you. There wasn't much coordination or planning between all three of you. You took turns trying to get me with your individual techniques. Even if you were to face someone not on my level, it'd be easy to see through."
He scratched the side of his head.
"…Kiba—you've got aggression and instinct. That's good. But right now, that's all you are. Instinct."
Kiba frowned.
"…What's that supposed to mean?"
Kakashi didn't soften it.
"It means I can read you like a book. Every charge, every angle—you commit fully without thinking about what happens if it fails. Against someone weaker than you, that works. Against someone stronger? You become predictable. Predictable gets you countered. Countered gets you killed."
Silence.
Kiba clenched his fists.
Kakashi's gaze shifted.
"…Choji."
Choji stiffened slightly.
"You've got power. Real power. But you hesitate to use it properly unless something pushes you emotionally."
A pause.
"…That's a liability."
Choji looked down.
"…If you don't decide for yourself when to go all-in… someone else will decide for you. And it won't be when you're ready."

Sakura.
Kakashi's eye curved slightly.

She blinked.

"…But you hesitated to commit."
He leaned slightly closer.
"…A battlefield isn't a place for half-decisions, Sakura. Either you fully participate… or you don't even try."
Asuma stepped forward, glancing at—

"…You three were interesting."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"…Naruto—you're doing too much."
Naruto blinked.

Asuma pointed lazily around the field.
"You're fighting me, setting traps, coordinating your team, helping other teams… hell, you're basically trying to run the entire battlefield by yourself."
A pause.
"…That's impressive."
Another pause.
"…It's also stupid."
Naruto's grin twitched.

"You spread yourself too thin, you make mistakes. Against me, it's training. Against an enemy? That gets people killed."
His gaze shifted.
"…Hinata."
She straightened instantly.
"…Y-Yes!"

He tapped his temple.
"…But you hesitate right before impact. Every time. Like you're asking permission."
Hinata froze.
"…You don't have that luxury in a real fight."
A softer tone—

His eyes sharpened slightly.
"…Now take the next step—stop doubting whether it'll work. Create some variability in your lineup as well. We can do some chakra nature testing here soon."
Ino squealed in delight, receiving praise in front of Sasuke was something she didn't expect.
Kurenai stepped forward, calm as ever.
Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Shino

Shikamaru, still half on the ground, groaned out:
"…We still lost."
"Yes."
No sugarcoating.
Her eyes moved first.

He sighed.

Her gaze sharpened.

Sasuke.
"…You pushed me the hardest."
Sasuke's eyes narrowed slightly.
"…I didn't win."
"No."
A faint smile.
"…But you forced me to take you seriously."
A pause.
"You're reading chakra flow well. Your reactions are sharp."
Her tone dipped just slightly.
"…But you're over-relying on your eyes."
Sasuke's expression hardened.
"…Meaning?"
"Meaning the moment something disrupts that perception—poison, pain, exhaustion, external interference—you hesitate for a fraction of a second."
A beat.
"…That fraction is all it takes."
