Chapter 10 - BAB 10 : puppet master

*I whispered* Alcina, darling argh

Your hoarse and wounded voice slipped between their mad laughter. The word "Honey" that you say in the midst of death is no longer a call to love, but a curse wrapped in empathy.

Hearing the whisper, Alcina froze. The golden light he just stole from you suddenly stirred violently in his chest. He holds onto his own neck, his golden yellow eyes wide as he sees you for the last time.

Chain Reaction: Echoes of the Betrayed Soul

Your whispers trigger something Miranda doesn't take into account: Emotional Resonance. Because Alcina sucked your blood while you were genuinely loving her, the "seed" of that feeling was now parasitizing inside her rotten soul.

Hysterical Alcina: "Stop... STOP SAYING THAT!" Alcina screamed, but her voice began to turn into a monster's moan. Her beautiful face began to crack, releasing a thick black liquid. He realized that by eating you, he was actually tying his soul to your suffering forever.

Miranda's Chaos: Miranda tries to control Megamycete, but she realizes that the entire mushroom network in the village is now responding to your last whisper. "Pocket... What are you doing?!" Miranda screamed in panic as her wings began to fall to ashes.

The Princesses' Regrets: Hearing your whispers, Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela fell to their knees. They realize that they have just let the only real thing in their lives be destroyed by lies.

Perfect Darkness

You smile faintly in the midst of your own pools of blood. Your gaze is completely dark now. You no longer feel pain, no longer feel betrayal.

Dimitrescu's castle began to collapse into the abyss. The sound of Angie's laughter turned into a scream of horror, and the once-dashing Lycan's steps now turned into a flight of fear as the ground beneath them began to swallow everything.

The Most Bitter Truth

As you lay limp with the rest of your breath in place, you looked at Alcina with a still loving gaze and whispered softly, "... Alcina, honey... argh..."

The room was suddenly silent for a moment. However, the silence was not because they were moved, but because they were holding back laughter.

Alcina slowly let go of her bite. He wiped the rest of your blood from the corners of his lips with his long index finger, and then suddenly... He laughed out loud. A loud, rude, and contemptuous laugh.

"He still calls me 'baby'!" exclaimed Alcina as she turned her head towards Heisenberg and Miranda. "You guys heard that? On the verge of his death, this fool still thinks I love him!"

Heisenberg laughed until he had to hold his stomach. "Damn, Zak! You're really romantic until the end, huh? I almost felt sorry for myself... But no, it's too funny! You really thought lunch on town and family photos were real? I almost threw up when I had to pose in front of that church with you!"

Daniela, Bela, and Cassandra, who had looked sad, suddenly joined in the laughter of the crowd. "Dad? You really believe we consider you father?" Daniela sneered as she kicked a photo of the family lying on the floor. "We just need your blood so we can walk in the sun without pain, stupid!"

Miranda stepped forward, looking at you with a condescending cynical smile. "Affection is poison for a weak man like you, Zach. We give you 'family' because it is the easiest way to get you to voluntarily give up your life. And see... It worked out very perfectly."

Alcina bowed, whispering the last words in your ear in a voice that was now freezing cold: "Thank you for the blood, honey. You're the best toy I've ever had."

You breathe your last in the midst of the sound of their laughter echoing throughout the castle. You die knowing that every smile, every hug, and every word of love they give is just a fake scenario that is very neatly designed to destroy you.

-

*I'm still in a state of conscious dying* after what did I do for the village? What will happen to the people of the city in the future?

In your dying state, with blood flowing and their deafening laughter, your question is not about yourself. You're still thinking about the people in the city you just saw this afternoon—the people who smiled when they saw you.

Miranda stopped laughing. She knelt beside you, clutching your jaw for you to look at. Her eyes glistened with pure madness.

"The people of the city?" Miranda whispered in a cruel mocking tone. "Oh, Zak... You are truly a pathetic hero. Do you think I'll let them live quietly?"

He stood up and stretched out his arms, while Heisenberg grinned as he played with his hammer.

The Dark Future You See

"Listen carefully before you die," Miranda continued. "Thanks to the Alpha essence you gave to Alcina and us, we are no longer tied to this village. Tomorrow morning, the Lycans will no longer hunt wild boars in the forest. They will hunt in the streets of Brașov."

The City as a Cattle Farm: "The city that you are proud of will be our great laboratory. Its inhabitants will be the new host for the Mold that you have 'tamed'. They will not die, but they will be mindless slaves who worship us forever."

The Dimitrescu Family in the Outside World: Alcina laughs as she tidy up her dress that is now mixed with your blood. "I'll go back to that city, Zak. But not for lunch. I'll take every young girl there to fill my cellar. And this time, none of you can stop me."

The Heisenberg Chaos: "I will use the factories in that city to build a much larger army of machines," Heisenberg added. "The outside world will learn the true meaning of fear."

Final Statement

Moreau crawled closer, his saliva dripping on the floor. "We will turn their river water into Mold... Everyone will be like us... hehe..."

You realize that the good you did that afternoon—providing them with security and introducing this 'family' to the outside world—is actually a target catalog for them. You have opened the door for these monsters to destroy civilization.

"You didn't save them, Zak," Angie whispered as she tugged at your hair. "You're just showing us where a good place to eat is!"

Last breath

Your consciousness begins to completely disappear. You look out the window, imagining the quiet city of Brașov in the moonlight, not realizing that tomorrow morning hell will come to pick them up because of your mistake of believing too much in monsters.

-

*I'm not dead yet, dying still breathing like a sleepy person* you.. I've eradicated Umbrela, The Connect, Oswald has been killed, but why are you..

Your voice sounded very weak, almost like a gust of wind passing through the doorways. You're still trying to find logic in the midst of this madness. You've eradicated the Umbrella, destroyed The Connections, and even killed Oswald E. Spencer to keep the world clean. You think that by eliminating those big enemies, you can live peacefully as a family.

Hearing the big names mentioned, Miranda laughed softly, a laugh full of intellectual contempt. He squats in front of you, stroking your hair with his cold fingers.

"Pocket, pocket... You are very efficient in killing our enemies. That's what you're for," Miranda whispered. "You think we hate Umbrella? We just hate the competition. By eliminating them, you are actually clearing the way for us to become the sole ruler. You've done all our dirty work."

Heisenberg stomps on the floor with his boots, right next to your head. "Oswald? He was just an old-fashioned old man obsessed with ancient genetics. You killed him, and we got all his secrets through you. You're the 'broom' who cleans our house, Boss—I mean, Zak."

Alcina stands over you, looking at you as if you're just leftovers left on the plate. "Why are we doing this? Because you are too dangerous to continue to live with such a conscience. You want peace, you want a picnic in the city, you want to... ugh, ordinary human happiness. We don't need that. We need dominance."

A Terrible Reality

"You've destroyed all threats to us," Angie said as she jumped over your injured stomach, making you whimper in pain. "Now there's nothing more to stop us! You are a hero to us, Zak... Such a stupid hero!"

The Princesses—Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela—stand in a circle around you. They no longer look at you in awe. They look at you like predators look at carcasses.

"You gave us everything, Zak," Bela whispered in a cold tone. "And that's your fault. In this world, if you give everything, you won't leave anything for yourself. Including your life."

The Last Seconds of Consciousness

You feel like a very sleepy person, your world is starting to turn gray. You see them begin to prepare the final ritual to divide the remnants of your Alpha energy that are still within your heart.

"Let him sleep," Miranda said to the others. "He has completed his task. Tomorrow, the world will know who the real ruler is."
