After emerging from the alley on Yalan Street, Bonolenov, disguised as a police officer, continued forward under the guidance of the tracking hound.
The trained dog, even in damp weather like this, could still quickly distinguish the scent it had been tasked to follow amid the chaotic smells of the city streets.
On the rooftops nearby, Chrollo and Pakunoda followed Bonolenov's path from above.
Their pace wasn't particularly fast.
The limiting factor was the running speed of the tracking hound.
But as they continued forward, Chrollo compared their route with the map of Kakin's capital stored in his memory and quickly realized where they were heading.
"The Judicial Bureau," Chrollo said quietly.
Chrollo knew Ivan's identity very well.
Even so, he was still somewhat surprised that Ivan had chosen to go there.
The reason was the incident on Yalan Street.
Ivan—who had supposedly resurrected—had attacked Kakin's Chief Justice.
That alone was abnormal.
Even stranger was the fact that Chief Justice Corea hadn't revealed Ivan's name to the police.
That made the situation even more suspicious.
Now Corea's vehicle was heading toward the Judicial Bureau, and Ivan had also appeared there.
It forced Chrollo to consider whether the two of them had planned this together.
But for what purpose?
Before Chrollo could fully think it through, small dinosaurs suddenly appeared on the rooftop, lunging toward them.
They were the same nimble Compsognathus-like dinosaurs that Uvogin had crushed earlier.
"We've been spotted," Pakunoda said as a revolver appeared in her hand.
"That just proves we're tracking the right direction," Chrollo replied.
His gaze passed over the approaching dinosaurs and shifted toward Bonolenov below, who was already surrounded.
"Let's go ahead."
"No matter what trick he's trying to play, once we capture him, everything will become clear."
"And judging by the range of his dinosaur control, this Judicial Bureau may simply be a decoy."
"Where he actually went—Bonolenov's tracking will tell us."
"Shouldn't we wait for Bonolenov?" Pakunoda asked hesitantly.
According to the Phantom Troupe's operational principles, whenever they carried out a mission, at least two members should remain beside the leader whenever possible.
After witnessing Lyman's preparation and the shocking suicide explosion earlier, Pakunoda no longer underestimated their opponent.
In her opinion, moving together as a group of three would be the safest option.
If time weren't so tight, she would have even preferred calling another member to assist.
This situation required maximum caution.
But Chrollo didn't slow down.
He didn't even bother attacking the dinosaurs pursuing them.
"We're not storming the Judicial Bureau," he said calmly.
"I'm not that reckless."
"We'll wait."
"If he's really there, he'll come out on his own."
"Because we can afford to gamble."
"But he can't."
"He has to leave before we arrive."
Pakunoda stopped objecting.
She simply tightened her grip on the gun.
Ivan could clearly sense that the dinosaurs tracking the enemy had split into two groups.
One group was rapidly approaching the Judicial Bureau.
If he had left even slightly later, the moment he drove out of the building, they might have spotted him.
And given their speed, catching a moving car wouldn't have been difficult.
But if they wanted to catch him now, they would have to work harder.
Ivan redirected the dinosaurs he had dispatched.
He didn't intend to lose all of them here.
Meanwhile, he pressed down on the accelerator.
The car sped toward the eastern district of the city.
At this hour before dawn, traffic on the roads was sparse.
Most of the people wandering the streets were either drunk or homeless.
Kakin's population was enormous.
And ever since Nasubi Hui Guo Rou came to power, his policies had grown increasingly aggressive.
The entire country existed in a tense state.
Nasubi's impatient pursuit of rapid growth had resulted in development strategies that drained resources and forced unnatural progress.
As society advanced rapidly, countless people were left behind.
Large numbers became unemployed.
At that moment, new entertainment industries and new narcotics flooded the market.
The entire nation had fallen into a restless, agitated atmosphere.
Crime rates continued to rise.
Ivan suspected that within a few years, if Kakin failed to secure its admission into V6, the country might face another revolution—similar to the Zhenlin Pavilion Incident.
In fact, Ivan believed that even without Chairman Netero's death, Kakin would eventually announce the discovery of the New Continent.
It would serve as a way to redirect the domestic tensions that were already building toward an explosive breaking point.
The Third Hospital in the eastern district was massive.
As Ivan drove closer, he could see the ocean stretching alongside the coastal road.
The hospital stood at the very end of the seaside highway.
Such a remote location was clearly unusual.
Hospitals placed here were inconvenient both for emergency treatment and for ordinary patients.
But as a university-affiliated hospital that served only wealthy clients—and possibly concealed certain secrets—the location made a certain kind of sense.
Before Ivan even reached the hospital, he noticed something strange.
A series of box trucks were leaving the hospital grounds, driving along the coastal road toward the distance.
None of the trucks bore the hospital's logo.
Ivan frowned and sniffed the air as one passed.
A foul smell drifted from the vehicles.
He couldn't identify it precisely.
It smelled like something rotten, mixed with the scent of chemicals used to mask it.
Unpleasant.
Ivan counted carefully.
There were eight trucks in total.
But as the final truck passed by, something caught his attention.
One of the men inside suddenly turned his head and locked eyes with him.
The man had a thick beard and wore a black baseball cap.
Beneath the cap, his eyes were sharp and alert.
In that brief glance, Ivan saw surprise and vigilance in them.
The vehicles quickly passed each other.
Ivan's pupils shrank into the vertical slits of a dinosaur's.
He was certain of it.
That man had noticed the post-mortem Nen surrounding his body.
Otherwise, there would have been no reason for such a strong reaction.
Yet the truck didn't stop.
The convoy continued driving away.
Ivan's mind stirred.
He sent several hidden dinosaurs that had been following him along the way to pursue the convoy in the opposite direction.
He wanted to know where those trucks were headed.
Nen users weren't common.
If one appeared in a convoy like that, whatever the trucks carried was definitely important.
Especially if it was connected to the Third Hospital.
For Ivan, that could be a crucial clue.
He didn't turn around to follow them himself.
Instead, he continued driving toward the hospital.
When Ivan entered the hospital grounds, the person who emerged from the guard booth wasn't an old night watchman.
It was a well-built young man.
"Hello," the man said, frowning slightly as he handed Ivan a registration form.
"Fill in your information here."
At that moment, every muscle in Ivan's body tensed.
Because he immediately realized something.
The night guard standing in front of him was not ordinary either.
