Chapter 3 - Prologue: A new start

In the infinite white void, there was usually nothing but pure emptiness. Today, however, it housed a very special soul.

Standing before the soul of Zen, was a being beyond all understanding, the maximally perfect being above all else.

"You're an odd one. You say you want to replace me… as expected." This featureless entity was merely a grey glowing humanoid form with, many, many arms.

"Expected? Of course, you know it all, don't you?" The floating orb of multiple colors responded, a rainbow in spherical form, that was what the soul was.

"Correct, but thoughts about it are pointless. And no, I won't spoil the ending for you. The journey would not be the same, if I did." The entity replied calmly, as an almost ominous smile presented itself on the otherwise featureless surface.

"So it's set in stone? Isn't that boring?" The soul had its colorful luster dim.

"Worry not about pesky things such as free will. Your agency is yours so far as you perceive it as such. In the end, if you think about it, does it ruin your dreams?" The entity knew the answer, but asking the question mattered more than the answer that would come.

"No, not really, I still want to build a harem, become the strongest to keep said harem safe, rule the whole world, master all things, and achieve absolute freedom. Those are my 5 pillars. Nothing changed, how bittersweet. Hahahaha!" The soul admitted with a bemused laughter.

"It is only because you see that. Regardless, I look forward to your journey, the dragon ball verse is quite the one. Especially the version you asked me to build, your taste is very particular." The entity used one of its hands to rub its chin.

"Is it? I always thought I had pretty average desires. I guess, I'm quite lustful and greedy, aren't I? That's good. It means, I am someone, wouldn't you say so?" The orb's tone began to recover, to gain a brighter luster.

"Don't forget you'll need to work with the system to become more powerful and after that, who knows, you might find the omni-core, or die trying. Oh, possibilities." The entity said in an almost teasing manner.

"You have a skewed sense of humor, you already know the answer, pretending you don't is rude, you know?" The orb would be twitching an eye right now, if it had one.

"Maybe. It did get you lively, didn't it? So, keep that energy, it likely suits you best. Regardless, are you sure about the way you will be thrown into that world?" The entity asked with its head leaning to the side.

"Yeah! I'm going to be overpowered if it works out. Plus, if it doesn't, you gave me like 3 extra abilities, so I'm good.

"Though it would have been better if you hadn't limited me by forbidding omni, alpha, omega, Omicron, warping, nigh-omni, absolutes, metas, and all the good stuff!!

"You're evil! An evil, stingy creator! But thanks either way." The orb complained with loud voice, and an irritated tone, if it had a body, hands would have been moving in gestures to match.

"Interesting view on things. Truly, you are odd. Thus, I accept your challenge, as agreed, if you complete it, and gather what's necessary, you will take my place. I hope you are excited, challenger, -1." The entity snapped its fingers.

"Of course I am! I'll take your place, just you wait, nothing will stop me. I will be the one to defeat this challenge!" The orb announced with a boastful confidence, as it began to dissipate into particles that faded.

"Let us see your tale then, I hope you, and even those watching, can enjoy it." The entity nodded, before fading as well.

The void was thus returned to its natural state, pure nothingness.

With that, the entity had a visit to make.

Unknown Age.

It had been ages since the multiverse, the twelve universes, had all become history.

Yet, not everything was gone, at the center of it all stood the two Omni-Kings, both Zeno.

Both Zenos were very short and small, with rather large oval-shaped heads. They primarily had sky blue skin, and their main attire was a magenta-and-yellow lined coat, yellow pants, and magenta shoes.

They were surrounded by their attendants and always accompanied by one angel, the Grand Priest.

All attendants shared the same appearance. They were tall and cyan-skinned individuals who wore large high-collared purple jackets with golden lining, buttons, and shoulders that covered their faces.

The Grand Priest was a short male Guide Angel with sky blue skin and white slicked-back hair. The Grand Priest had thin hook-curved eyebrows. He possessed what appeared to be a blue-colored halo, though it autonomously floated above him instead of hanging around his neck.

Regardless of this, it was unusual for them to get any visits.

Today, however, things were different.

Standing there, right in front of this entourage, in this in-between space that contained little more than the two thrones, each occupied by one of the Zeno, was the entity.

The many-armed featureless being then walked closer, unbothered by all that surrounded it.

"To what do we owe the pleasure of such a visit, Old Timer?" The Grand priest bowed to it, still as calm as ever.

"Yeah! You don't visit us ever!" Zeno#1 added pointing at the Old Timer.

"Never ever! Even though we have fun!" Zeno#2 crossed his small arms.

"Loads of fun!" Zeno#1 nodded in agreement, quickly crossing his arms as well to match.

"I'm typically busy. I shouldn't move unprompted after all. Anyway, I have come to propose a fun game." One of the Old Timer's many hands retrieved an unusually colorful soul, one containing the rainbow, within itself.

"In that case, allow me to prepare a game table." The Grand priest called upon his angelic staff, which was calmly tapped on the floor a few times.

From that, a table appeared in the middle of the room with 3 seats, and a massive floating orb hovering above it at the center.

Without thinking much about it, the Zenos, and the Old Timer all took their seats on the golden and purple chairs.

Unlike it would always be, the one with the most grandiose chair, containing the most adornments were not the Zenos.

"You brought a soul, why?" Zeno#1 asked looking at the colorful sphere, his expression still blank.

"I bet it's cause of the game! What are we playing?" Zeno#2 added with narrowed eyes.

"Correct. I propose you use this soul, and wish upon the super dragon balls, that it is reincarnated as a warrior of all races with human appearance. Won't it be fun to bet on whether he can become the greatest warrior on the multiverse?" Old Timer let go of the soul, having it floating above the orb at the center of the table.

"No! Not betting!" Zeno#2 pointed at the Old Timer with a frown.

"Hmph! Yeah, you always win bets, it's no fun." Zeno#1 shook his head as he let out a scoff.

"I might lose this one, since this is a very special soul, don't you see? It lacks any threads of fate." Old Timer pointed at the colorful sphere.

"Oh! I see!" Zeno#1's eyes widened when he noticed.

"It's true, maybe we could win… What are you betting on?" Zeno#2 began scratching his head.

Watching it unfold from the sidelines, The Grand Priest almost raised an eyebrow knowing very well that a lack of threads of fate could not stop the Old Timer from knowing exactly what would take place.

"I'm betting that this soul has the potential to become as strong as you two. Oh and to make it fun, let us send him to Age 749, September 1, Mount Paozu with a low power level, a new rival to your friend, Goku." Old Timer smiled slightly.

The Grand priest's eye twitched slightly at the unfair bet, since it only required the potential to do the impossible, not actually doing it.

"Hmmm, Ok! I bet it doesn't! There's no way." Zeno#1 nodded, taking the bait.

"No it can't! I bet it doesn't either! I had an idea, though." Zeno#2 joined in.

"Go ahead." The Old Timer nodded.

"I know! If it succeeds, we get to make it the new God of destruction." Zeno#1 said it first immediately understanding the other.

"Yes! I hope it's not lazy like Beerus or Champa, a proper destroyer." Zeno#2 seemed pleased at the idea.

"This soul is going to be different from those two, don't worry." Old Timer agreed.

Seeing a conclusion had been reached, the Grand Priest moved.

"In that case, allow me to gather the super dragon balls."

Disappearing rather quickly, he returned just as fast.

Behind him, 7 planet-sized orange spheres each with several red stars at the center, from 1 Star to 7 stars, all of them floating in the space that surrounds the area.

Not wasting any time, the Grand Priest began the chant to summon Super Shenron. "… Come forth, Divine Dragon, and grant my wish, pretty peas!"

Spoken in the divine language of the Gods, the blinding golden light emerged as the snake-like gargantuan golden dragon appeared before them.

A pure yellow color with a gold tone on his body, he had bright crimson eyes, large bat wings instead of the feathery ones around the species, and spikes around his tail. He was incomprehensibly gargantuan in size, many times more colossal than multiple galaxies.

"State your wish." It responded before standing ready.

"The wish is for this soul to be reincarnated as the perfect hybrid of all races with a human appearance, and send it to Age 749, September 1, near Son Goku." The Grand Priest relayed in Divine language.

The eyes of the massive dragon began to glow brightly before it replied. "Your wish has been granted."

Thus it disappeared, and the super dragon balls dispersed as quickly as they were gathered.

This moment started something that would change the history of the Dragon Ball world forever, for better and worse.
