Neo was about to ask what was the problem, but the call was immediately terminated.
"Fuck," Neo cussed, already scrambling to his feet as he dialed the number again. It rang but there was no answer.
Neo tried three more times after that and eventually, Tyrese's terminal was announced switched off.
"I warned him! I warned him not to go…!" Neo was speaking in anger as he backed himself up with a knife and a silent gun.
He placed a call to Bryce, all in the spur of the moment. Bryce responded quickly, saying, "Senior, you're calling? I'm so happy that–"
"Are you busy?" Neo cut in.
"Not for you," Bryce replied.
Neo didn't even have the strength to roll his eyes. He just said, "I need you to come over with your car. Tyrese is in trouble at some party. I need to get there soon, okay?"
"Yes–"
He terminated the call after hearing the agreement. Neo had called Bryce because no one else would take his requests as serious. And Bryce would always come running, irrespective of the time.
