"What are you talking about?" Raze was no longer yelling. He looked at Neo like it was a completely different person standing in front of him. "You're the strongest–"
"I'm not." Neo cut him off. "I'm not the strongest anything."
A thin layer of tears formed in Neo's eyes.
"I'm not as strong as everyone thinks. Fuck, I'm not even as strong as I think I am. I'm just a stubborn idiot. An idiot who thinks he knows it all and can pull off everything."
The memory of his team members telling him that it was time to give up and go home surfaced in his head. They'd told him they couldn't do it. They should just go home.
But he had refused. He refused to give up because he foolishly believed they would succeed. No, he believed he would succeed.
