Chapter: Rose and Lily's Little Plan
The sun was slowly setting over the amusement park.
The lights turned on one by one, making the whole place look magical.
Jay was still holding the teddy bear Kiefer had given her.
Every time she looked at it, she remembered that moment.
The way Kiefer walked toward her.
The small smile on his face.
The simple words:
"This is for you."
It was just a teddy bear.
But somehow, it felt like something much bigger.
Meanwhile, Kiefer walked beside them, completely unaware of the thoughts running through Jay's mind.
For him, it was a simple gesture.
He just saw that Rose and Lily were fighting over it, and he thought Jay would appreciate it more.
But Rose and Lily had noticed something.
They always noticed everything about Kiefer.
The two childhood friends exchanged a look.
Rose whispered, "Did you see that?"
Lily smiled.
"Of course I did."
"He gave the teddy bear to Jay."
"Not to us."
Rose placed a hand on her chin dramatically.
"This is a historical moment."
Lily laughed.
"The world's most serious CEO finally did something unexpected."
Kiefer turned around.
"Why are you two whispering?"
Rose immediately smiled.
"Nothing."
Lily nodded.
"Absolutely nothing."
Kiefer narrowed his eyes.
"I know that look."
Rose laughed.
"You worry too much, Kiefer."
They continued exploring the amusement park.
They played more games, ate snacks, and took pictures together.
For the first time in a long time, Kiefer laughed freely.
Jay noticed it.
The person everyone saw as a serious and powerful CEO was actually someone who enjoyed small moments.
Someone who cared about his friends.
Someone who cared about people.
Later, they reached the biggest roller coaster in the park.
Rose's eyes lit up.
"Everyone is going on this!"
Kiefer immediately knew something was wrong.
"Rose, don't."
"Don't what?"
"You have that smile."
"What smile?"
"The smile that means trouble."
Rose laughed.
"Relax. It will be fun!"
Lily looked at Jay.
"Have you ever been on this ride?"
Jay shook her head.
"Never."
Rose grabbed both of their hands.
"Perfect! First time together!"
Before Kiefer could react, Rose pushed everyone toward the line.
A few minutes later, they were sitting in the roller coaster.
Rose sat with Lily.
And by complete coincidence...
Kiefer was sitting beside Jay.
The ride started slowly moving upward.
Jay looked nervous.
Kiefer noticed.
"Are you okay?"
She nodded.
"Yes... just a little nervous."
Kiefer smiled.
"Don't worry. I'll be here."
Those simple words made Jay feel calm.
The roller coaster suddenly dropped.
Everyone screamed.
Rose screamed the loudest.
"LILY! WHY DID YOU AGREE TO THIS?!"
Lily laughed.
"Because you forced us!"
Kiefer laughed as the wind hit his face.
Jay looked at him.
For the first time, she saw him truly happy.
Not as a CEO.
Not as the founder of the biggest company.
Just as Kiefer.
And somewhere in that moment...
Kiefer realized something too.
This day was different.
Because Jay was part of it.
When the ride ended, Rose and Lily looked at each other.
They both had the same thought.
Their childhood friend was changing.
And they were definitely going to find out why.
"Operation: Understand Kiefer's feelings begins," Rose whispered.
Lily smiled.
"Knowing you, this will become chaotic."
Rose grinned.
"Exactly."
