Chapter 29 - THE CONFESSION

Chapter: The Confession

The day finally arrived.

After weeks of hidden feelings, silent smiles, and moments they both tried to ignore...

Kiefer and Jay finally decided to talk.

Not as a CEO.

Not as a guest.

Not as two people who were afraid of changing their relationship.

Just as Kiefer and Jay.

The evening was quiet.

Kiefer invited Jay to the same peaceful place where they had spent time together before.

A small garden overlooking the city.

The lights of the city sparkled below them.

Jay smiled.

"You always choose quiet places."

Kiefer smiled back.

"I guess I like places where people can talk honestly."

Jay looked at him.

"Is there something you want to say?"

For once...

Kiefer Waston was nervous.

The man who could stand in front of thousands of employees and give a speech without hesitation...

could barely find the right words.

"Jay..."

She looked at him.

"I don't know when it happened."

He paused.

"But somewhere between the amusement park, the company events, and all those small moments..."

He smiled softly.

"You became someone I look forward to seeing."

Jay's heart started beating faster.

Kiefer continued.

"You didn't see me as the CEO of the world's biggest company."

"You saw me as Kiefer."

He looked at her.

"And I realized that is the person I want to be with you."

A small silence filled the garden.

Then Kiefer finally said:

"Jay... I love you."

Jay looked at him.

For a moment, she couldn't believe it.

The person she had been thinking about for so long...

felt the same way.

She smiled.

"I was wondering when you would say it."

Kiefer looked surprised.

"You knew?"

Jay laughed softly.

"Not at first."

She looked at him warmly.

"But I realized I loved you too."

She held the teddy bear keychain attached to her bag.

"The day you gave me that teddy bear, I knew there was something different about you."

She smiled.

"Not because you won it."

"Because you noticed me."

Kiefer smiled.

"So..."

Jay nodded.

"I love you too, Kiefer."

For a moment, they simply stood there.

Two people who had spent so much time caring about everyone else...

finally choosing something for themselves.

Kiefer gently held her hand.

Jay smiled.

And then, under the city lights...

they shared their first kiss.

It was a simple moment.

Not a moment seen by the world.

Not a headline.

Not a business achievement.

Just a memory that belonged to them.

Of course...

They weren't completely alone.

A short distance away...

Rose and Lily were hiding.

Rose covered her mouth.

"Did you see that?"

Lily smiled.

"Yes."

Rose looked emotional.

"Our serious CEO finally did it."

Lily laughed.

"After all these years."

Rose nodded.

"I'm proud of him."

The next morning at the company...

Something felt different.

Nobody knew exactly what happened.

But everyone noticed.

Kiefer seemed happier.

Jay seemed happier.

And Rose and Lily were smiling like they knew a secret.

An employee whispered:

"Did something happen?"

Another employee smiled.

"I don't know."

"But whatever it is..."

"It looks like our CEO finally found something more valuable than success."

Because Kiefer Waston had built the biggest company in the world.

But Jay had given him something he never knew he needed.

A place where he didn't have to be the strongest person.

A place where he could simply be loved.
