In front of Carter was no longer the monster, there was only the man, Murasaki Minato. He had returned to his usual younger self. He looked even better when he was the Grandmaster of his Sect.
"Are you alright, Master?" Minato said with worry eyes.
Carter's skin had tears all over him. It looked very horrified.
But he didn't mind it. Excessive use of Transcendent Aura had its side effects. These were fixable.
"I'm fine. Let's get out of here, Minato."
"Yes, Master."
They left the Murasaki Mountain. For the first time, Minato was able to breathe the fresh air again. He never thought that such a simple thing could be such a beautiful wonder.
"It really feels good when you're just alive." Minato watched the stars for the first time in years.
"Watch over me, Minato. I need to meditate."
"Yes, Master!" Minato bowed and dashed away.
