Chapter 4 - 4

Chapter 4 Mission with Bonus

Slurp ~

Kizaru slurped down the last bite of ramen.

He felt a sense of unease.

From the moment he opened his eyes, he felt a sensation of being watched.

At first, he thought it was his imagination.

It wasn't until he and Iruka Sensei arrived at the Ichiraku Ramen shop that this feeling of being watched disappeared.

Perhaps, someone truly was observing him in secret ~

"Iruka Sensei ~" Kizaru tilted his head to look at Iruka.

"Slurp ~, what is it?"

Iruka was eating his noodles, not looking at Naruto.

"I'm done eating, the bill is all yours ~" Kizaru was the first to leave the Ichiraku Ramen shop.

"Don't worry, it's just a bowl of ramen, right ~ Slurp, this Ichiraku Ramen is really delicious."

Iruka finished the last bite of ramen, took a sip of the rich, fragrant broth, his face filled with satisfaction.

He pulled out his wallet, ready to pay the bill.

Hmm… what's with this mountain of bowls?

"Thank you for your patronage…" Ichiraku Uncle bowed slightly, a sheepish smile on his face, his hands clasped in front of his chest.

Why is he looking at me like that?

Could it be… "Ichiraku Uncle, these bowls are…"

"They're all what Naruto just consumed ~"

Huh?

Although he had a premonition, Iruka still widened his mouth.

Three piles of bowl mountains, made of 120 empty bowls.

The scene… was incredibly spectacular.

Ramen is 70 Ryo a bowl, so 120 bowls is 8400 Ryo.

His monthly living budget is only about 10,000 Ryo.

The coming days won't be easy.

He was just a teacher, not a Ninja who frequently took on missions, so his income wasn't much to begin with.

And he also had to maintain his reserves of Ninjutsu tools like shuriken and explosive tags.

The price of these items was far beyond that of daily necessities.

Suddenly, he felt a pang in his heart… how could his small stomach eat so many noodles?

Iruka's fingers trembled as he paid all the money from his wallet.

Looking at his deflated wallet, he wanted to cry but had no tears… Guided by that faint, blurry memory, Kizaru returned to his residence.

Finally, he lay down on the bed.

Recalling his experiences during this period, Kizarufelt like it was all a dream ~

He had been looking forward to a rare day of slacking off at work for a long time.

As a result, he was inexplicably taken over by someone, his soul pushed out.

The key was that he didn't even know who this person was!

Then he inexplicably came to this world.

He encountered the legendary Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, and two powerful Ninjas.

Now, he couldn't use any of his own power, and the original owner of this body was just starting out.

To be a Ninja?

That's just asking for death!

Although he didn't understand this world, those two powerful individuals who only had residual "Chakra" were on par with him.

This world was even more dangerous than the one he came from!

Thinking of this, Kizaru turned over… Tomorrow, he must ask Iruka Sensei to let him repeat a year at the Ninja Academy ~

He had subtly inquired with Iruka.

The Ninja Academy was simply a paradise.

Attending school on time every day, slacking off, he could learn various mathematical knowledge and Ninjutsu, and the danger had been reduced to a very low level.

Moreover, once enemy Ninjas attacked the Village, the teachers and students in the Academy had priority evacuation rights.

Most importantly, there were monthly subsidies!

Such a good thing actually existed in the world!

Ninja?

Whoever wants to be one can go be one!

Lost in thought, Kizaru drifted into a dream… Early in the morning, Iruka, still half-asleep, opened his door ~

Who is it!

Who was it that was banging on his door so early in the morning?

He had finally waited for his students to graduate from the Ninja Academy, and he could finally sleep in ~

And it was ruined by someone… What?

You said tomorrow?

Tomorrow, he still had to assign these students to classes and hand them over to their Jonin squad leaders.

"Naruto?"

Iruka could hardly believe his eyes.

This guy, who was always late in the morning, actually came to knock on his door so early?

As the "Number Two Sleep God" in the class (Number One was definitely Nara Shikamaru, that guy who always seemed half-asleep!), shouldn't he be nestled in his bed, sleeping in right now?

At this moment, his expression looked very excited, very eager.

Is this really that Naruto?

For the first time, Iruka felt a sense of doubt.

"Iruka Sensei, I'm telling you, I really have something to talk to you about this time." Kizaru's tone was urgent.

"Haaah ~" Iruka let out a long yawn, his eyes still heavy with sleep, "What is it that can't wait a bit, it's my precious time to sleep in ~"

"Iruka Sensei, I've thought about it carefully for a long time, and I still think I should repeat a year at the Ninja Academy. I deeply realize that my strength is not enough to carry out missions, and I need further study ~"

Kizaru spoke earnestly, looking at Iruka with a hopeful expression.

"Are you serious?"

He had originally thought that Naruto's idea of returning to the Academy to repeat a year was just a whim, and he would forget about it after a while, but he didn't expect him to come to discuss this matter again now.

"Of course I'm serious, more real than real gold and silver ~"

Phew ~

Iruka let out a deep breath and made a decision.

"Although letting you repeat a year doesn't follow the rules, since you're requesting it so strongly, I'll make an exception this once. Originally, I thought your current strength was enough for some simple missions to earn some mission bounties, but since you feel your strength is insufficient, then I agree to your…"

"Wait!"

Kizaru's eyes suddenly widened, and his voice became loud, "Iruka Sensei, what did you just say?"

Iruka was stunned, didn't he hear clearly? His voice wasn't quiet, was it?

"I said, I agreed to your request."

"Not that sentence, the one before that!" Kizaruspoke quickly, his expression even more urgent than before.

"The one before that? I said, since you're requesting it so strongly."

"No, no," Naruto became even more anxious, "I heard you just mention mission bounties?"

"Oh, you mean that, you know, don't you, that there are mission bounties for completing missions?" Seeing the confused expression on Naruto's face, Iruka had a guess, "You probably don't understand the amount of the mission bounties, do you? Let me tell you, the bounty for the simplest D-rank mission is 500 to 5000 Ryo ~"

Five hundred to five thousand Ryo?

And that's for the simplest mission!

This Ninja, I, Uzumaki… ah, no, I, Kizaru, am definitely going to be one!

"Iruka Sensei, I've decided, I'm not going to repeat a year after all, I want to be a Ninja!"

Kizaru said urgently, and without waiting for Iruka's reaction, he turned and ran off quickly.

Leaving only Iruka in a state of confusion in the wind.

Is this kid… deliberately messing with him?

Waking him up early in the morning, only to lead him on a wild goose chase and then run off?

Watching Naruto, who was gradually running farther away, Iruka shook his head helplessly.

This student… always has various unexpected actions.

Suddenly, Iruka remembered something.

He quickly shouted loudly at Naruto, whose figure was almost out of sight: "Don't forget to quickly take a photo and submit it for your Ninjaregistration certificate!"

"Got it ~"

Naruto's voice came faintly.

Iruka shook his head and turned to go back to his residence…
