Chapter 1 - Love at Lake chapter 2

ANewBeginning

After that night at the lake, everything felt different for Aarav and Anaya. The same lake, the same bench, and the same evening breeze now felt more special because they both knew their feelings for each other.

The next morning, Aarav woke up with a smile on his face. He kept remembering Anaya's words: "I fell in love with you too." It felt like a dream he didn't want to wake up from.

Later that day, Aarav received a message from Anaya.

"Meet me at the lake this evening. I have something to tell you.

Aarav became curious. He wondered what she wanted to say.

When evening arrived, the sky was again full of warm colors as the sun slowly set. Aarav reached the lake early and started playing a soft melody on his guitar.

After a few minutes, Anaya arrived. She looked a little serious.

"Is everything okay?" Aarav asked.

Anaya took a deep breath. "I got an opportunity… a writing program in another city."

For a moment, Aarav felt silent. He knew how much Anaya loved writing and traveling.

"That's amazing," Aarav said with a small smile. "You should go."

"But it means I will have to leave this city for a year," Anaya replied quietly.

The sound of the water moving in the lake filled the silence between them.

Aarav looked at her and said, "Dreams are important, Anaya. You always told me to follow mine. Now it's your turn."

Anaya looked at him with emotional eyes. "But what about us?"

Aarav gently smiled. "If our love is real, distance can't break it."

That night, they sat together longer than usual, talking about their future, their dreams, and the memories they had created.

Days passed quickly, and soon the day arrived when Anaya had to leave. Aarav went with her to the train station.

The station was crowded, but for them, the world felt quiet.

Before boarding the train, Anaya gave Aarav a small notebook.

"What's this?" he asked.

"My story," she said. "But the last pages are empty. I want us to fill them together someday."

Aarav held the notebook carefully.

The train whistle blew.

Anaya stepped onto the train and looked at Aarav through the window.

"Don't stop playing music," she said.

"And you don't stop writing stories," Aarav replied.

As the train slowly moved away, Aarav realized something important — love is not only about being together, but also about supporting each other's dreams.

That evening, Aarav returned to the lake alone. The bench felt a little empty, but he opened the notebook Anaya gave him.

On the first page, she had written:

"Our story is just beginning".

Aarav smiled, picked up his guitar, and started playing again — because he knew one day, Anaya would return, and their story would continue. 🧿💝
