Chapter 75 - The Proforce

Minnie's words echoed in Asterion's mind. He glared, "And what brings a fella like you here? Did you do something to the auditorium?"

"Impressed? Game recognizes game. I am the one betas wait to be stepped on by. I am the pinnacle of all alphas. I am the jealousy sigmas feel. All bow to my will..." Gamindorf flexed and raised his right hand. A special glove covered the hand. It did not match his outfit; it was grey and black, with many buttons and switches along the wrist. However, the back of the hand glowed with the Proforce symbol. Gamindorf cackled, "Behold, the glove of power. It's so bad."

"An item is only as powerful as its wielder," Asterion wasn't impressed.

Gamindorf smirked and fiddled with some of the buttons on the glove. He spoke aloud his command, "Slash kill all."

Asterion heard excessive splattering come from the auditorium. The cheers were all abruptly silenced, and a collective thud resounded.

"Did you..." Asterion's gut twisted.

"The weakest links suffer from skill issues," Gamindorf crossed his arms. "I consider myself the angel of mercy. Why let them suffer this eternal damnation?"

"Interesting choice of words..."

"Now that you've witnessed my superior gaming skills, why don't you join us? Lord Imbecile knows not of my plan to exploit the ever living shit out of this wedding. Come, alpha bull, do it for the lols."

"Us?"

Two thin individuals stepped out from the shadows of the first floor. They spooked Asterion into a fighting stance. It was Hero and Princess Sellda.

"I have an entire posse of elite experts. Hand selected and forged by my guidance. These two are from Highrule, and are exemplary persons of courage and wisdom. They had no choice but to follow a pro like me," Gamindorf flexed his power gauntlet. The Proforce appeared on the headpieces of both elves.

"Pathetic as always," Asterion glared.

"Excuse me?!"

"You have to rely on gadgets and mind control? That's no better than buying views and subscribers with bots."

Gamindorf leaned against the railing of the floor's balcony. He squeezed it until his grip embedded the wood. He hissed, "Perhaps I was wrong about you. Only sub-human filth would scoff at the benefits money can buy."

"Hello, Shade," Asterion broke the façade.

"That's not my name," Gamindorf applied a code into his glove. It commanded the elves and they readied for battle. Sellda moved her arms about until purple magic formed in her hands. Hero reached behind him to a sword hilt and pulled it out. However, instead of a masterfully crafted blade, a thick slab of rubber replaced the steel. He drew a one and a half meter long dildo bat.

"Man, come on, Herbert..." Asterion gave a heavy sigh.

Hero rushed forward to attack. Sellda, on the other hand, pulled out a hard cover book. Chanterelle was printed on the front, and when she flipped its pages open, it had pictures and textboxes pertaining to the game. The elf princess had an actual strategy guide. She traced her fingers to enchant a spell, and made Hero disappear. He immediately reappeared above Asterion; teleported. Hero stabbed downwards with the dildo bat. Asterion shunted backwards and avoided the impalement. When the dildo head hit the ground, it embedded into the stone and caused it to crack under pressure.

Hero quickly recovered and threw a double-sided vibrator. It flew through the air like a boomerang. Asterion dodged again, but then shunted forward to attack. He slammed a fist into Hero, but the elven swordsman blocked with his shield. The boomerang vibrator returned and conked Asterion on the back of the head. This opened him up for a strike from Hero's bat. It hit with such force that it staggered the bull man backwards.

Hero reached into his tunic and pulled out two rounded objects. These objects had strange masks that invoked mice. When he tossed them to the ground, the bombs hissed. They then scampered forward like actual mice.

Asterion easily jumped over the first, but Hero struck him midair with the vibrator boomerang. Asterion would fall on the second bomb, but he instead entered I-frames and dropped a knee on it. The bomb erupted around him. The second bomb scurried out a window, heading who knows where.

When the smoke cleared, Asterion glared forward, relatively fine. Hero readied for more, and Gamindorf clapped, "Very good. You're a tough one."

A blast of stone came from farther up the stair corridor. Chunks of the fortress rained down on the trio. Asterion dodged the chunks, Hero raised his shield, and Sellda teleported aside. The sound of falling destruction was soon drowned out by a piercing, "Eeeee!"

Asterion spotted Minnie's plummet. She fell together with her plane, and had been bucked out of the operator's seat. The bull man used acute mathematics and legendary player timing. Before the plane crashed, Asterion shunted towards it and shoulder tackled it. The debris flew sideways towards the elves. Sellda saved them both by teleporting Hero and her up next to Gamindorf. Asterion turned on the spot and extended his arms out, perfectly catching Minnie.

Her screech came to an abrupt end, "Oh, hello, Asterion!"

"Hello, Minnie. Are you okay?"

"Fresh as a daisy!" Minnie hopped down. She spotted Gamindorf, and her disposition shifted, "He gives me a bad feeling..."

"That's Gamindorf, the guy you mentioned."

"The enemy!" Minnie flipped her tank top inside out, and equipped her boxing shells.

"Summoning allies, I see. I, too, dabble in gacha," Gamindorf raised his power glove and the Proforce symbol flashed. The doors throughout the stair corridor burst open. Shellies, chumps, blushrooms, and billies swarmed in like a disturbed anthill. Their eyes reflected the Proforce. Asterion and Minnie were surrounded. Gamindorf grimaced, "The best offense is Lord Shellie's defense."

"Minnie, I can afford to die. You only have one life to live. Go find your blue shell, and the others. I'll handle these punks," Asterion instructed.

"But, I'm the shield! I have to protect you!"

"It's fine. Gamer and Persica need you if we have this much trouble on our hands. Let me do the distracting, and you can do the protecting."

Minnie examined the enemies before them. She then eyeballed Gamindorf's position. She said, "I could use a boost. Let's at least scratch each other's backs."

Asterion glanced up, pieced together what she meant, and agreed with a smirk. The mob charged forward. Minnie leapt up in front of Asterion, and the minotaur started to glow with energy. A concussive force blew out from him and startled the ground enemies. Asterion yelled, "Atomic Springboard!"

Asterion cannoned the shellie upwards. She raised to eye level with Gamindorf and his elf slaves. Before landing on the railing, she used her Super and blasted one of her boxing shells at Gamindorf.

Gamindorf took out a new item in his non-gloved hand. It was a grey and orange, retro gaming handgun with a long barrel. He skeet shot the shell out of the air, and the tiny projectile shattered. While Minnie gasped at her boxing shell's demise, Gamindorf used his power glove to telekinetically grab Minnie midair. He yanked her over, and she slammed stomach first into the railing. She dangled over it, ass-up.

"Foolish..." Gamindorf aimed his gun at Minnie, but a dormant memory pinged in his mind. Seeing Minnie's position, it reminded him of a certain doggy position she'd been in. The memory seared into his brain, and he crumbled to a knee. He clutched his head and growled with pain.

Minnie recovered, cocked her shelled fist back, and lunged at the Console King. However, Hero intercepted and blocked her with his shield. He then countered with the dildo bat, and swung it into her torso. He knocked her back into the railing.

"Return us to the room..." Gamindorf commanded. Sellda opened the strategy guide and pointed at the guest room they stayed in. All three teleported away.

"Ow..." Minnie stood up and clutched her ribs. Without a shell, she wouldn't last long. She checked below, "Asterion, are you okay?"

A devastating blow to the waves of enemies sent a few of them up in the air. He handled it. Minnie sent him a smile, and then dashed off in a random direction.
