Chapter 2: You Regret, I'm the Hokage
Just as Naruto wanted to examine the courtyard in detail, a virtual screen appeared before him, displaying the situation outside his original house.
Naruto saw many masked people standing outside his original house.
Naruto inwardly thought, 'Oh no, I entered with my physical body. They must have discovered I'm not in the room.'
Naruto quickly willed himself to exit the Spirit Spring Space.
His vision went dark and then bright again, and Naruto was back in his messy room.
Naruto quickly pretended to be asleep.
Immediately after, he heard the sound of the door opening. Naruto acted as if he had just woken up and said groggily, "Who is it?"
The two masked individuals saw Naruto in the room and warily guarded the surroundings, then began to search all over the room.
Seeing this, Naruto stood on the bed huffing and said, "Who are you! What do you want? You're not allowed to hit me, I'm very strong!"
Naruto's expression was timid, but on the surface, he still pretended to be very formidable. The words he spoke seemed to have absolutely no effect on the two.
After the two masked men finished their inspection, they shook their heads simultaneously, said nothing to Naruto, and turned to leave his room.
After closing the door, Naruto lowered his head with a grim expression. He hadn't expected to be monitored so heavily.
He must never be so careless again. In Konoha, there's not only the hypocritical Third Hokage but also the dark Danzo.
If he were this careless again next time, he might very well be taken away by Danzo, and then he'd be in big trouble.
While Naruto was lost in his grim thoughts, the system's voice popped up again.
"Ding! You haven't signed in today. Would the hostlike to sign in?"
Hearing the system's voice, Naruto stopped his wandering thoughts. He would sign in first and see what he could get.
"Sign in!"
"Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining a Manchu Han Imperial Feast. Would the host like to claim it?"
"Claim! Place it in the hut within the Spirit Spring Space."
"Ding! Claimed successfully! It has been placed in the hut within the Spirit Spring Space."
"From now on, place all items obtained from signing in near the hut in the Spirit Spring Space."
"Ding! Delivery location modified to the Spirit Spring Space hut. Please confirm!"
"Confirm!"
After modifying the delivery location, Narutoentered the Spirit Spring Space with only his consciousness this time. He saw the 108 dishes of the Manchu Han Imperial Feast neatly arranged in front of the hut.
Naruto used his will to build a large warehouse nearby, adjusted the time ratio inside the warehouse to zero, and then used his will to put those 108 dishes into the warehouse.
After finishing all this, Naruto felt a bit sleepy, lay down on the bed, and fell into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, in the Hokage Office, Hiruzen Sarutobiwas smoking and looking at Konoha Village while listening to the report from his Anbu subordinate.
"You mean Naruto did indeed disappear for three minutes?"
"Yes!"
"And there was no one else or anything unusual in the room?"
"Yes!"
"Fine, you may leave now. Be more careful with the monitoring from now on. If this happens again, you must rush there immediately to see the specific situation."
Just as the Anbu member was about to reply, the door to Hiruzen Sarutobi's office was pushed open.
"Hiruzen! I heard there was a problem with the Nine-Tails Brat...!"
Danzo was halfway through his sentence when he saw an Anbu member still kneeling in the office. Danzo wasn't as arrogant as before; he shut his mouth, said nothing, and sat to the side.
Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at the Anbu kneeling on the floor and said, "You may leave."
"Yes!"
After the Anbu closed the door, Danzo's expression became urgent again as he pressed Hiruzen Sarutobi, "Hiruzen! The Nine-Tails Brat...!"
"Enough, Danzo! He is Minato's child, his name is Naruto. Watch your words in the future. If word gets out, it will be bad for the Village's reputation."
Danzo paused for a moment, then nodded and said, "Understood. Ni... I heard Naruto disappeared for three minutes today. What exactly happened?"
"It's nothing. The Anbu member's perception was mistaken."
"Hiruzen! Stop covering for the Nine-Tails Brat. The Jinchuriki should be handed over to my Root..."
"Enough. It's impossible for me to hand the Jinchuriki over to you. You may leave!"
"Hiruzen! You will regret this!"
"Danzo! I am the Hokage!"
Then came a loud thud as the door was slammed shut.
Danzo, leaning on his cane, left Hiruzen Sarutobi's office in a huff. Upon returning to Root, he immediately issued an order.
"Have someone bring the Nine-Tails Brat to me!"
A response came from the dark environment.
"Yes! Lord Danzo!"
Not long after, sounds of fighting broke out where Naruto lived, waking him from his sleep.
Naruto sat up and took a peek outside, finding two groups of people fighting, even though they were all wearing masks.
But Naruto was certain: one was Anbu, and the other... was Root! It must be that Danzo found out about his disappearance today, and Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo were at odds again.
Thinking of this, Naruto sighed slightly in his heart and lay back down on the bed, secretly deciding that he must be extremely careful until he had the power to protect himself.
Naruto rolled over and lay on his side, thinking about the opportunities that could make him stronger.
First was the plot—stealing the scroll of seals at the beginning. But that was still many years away; it couldn't solve his immediate problem.
Then there was the seal on his belly, where the strongest Tailed Beast, the Nine-Tails Demon FoxKurama, resided.
But currently, the Nine-Tails Demon Fox was in a stage of hating humans. Getting him to help would be extremely difficult.
The last one was Jiraiya. But Jiraiya's whereabouts were uncertain, and he wasn't in Konoha Village. Getting Jiraiya to teach some Ninjutsu or self-defense was also nearly impossible.
The more Naruto thought, the more his head ached. Just as he didn't know what to do, his consciousness was suddenly pulled into a pitch-black space with quite a bit of water on the ground.
Seeing this, Naruto knew where he had arrived.
"Since I'm here, I might as well go see that Tsundere big fox!"
Naruto walked for a while and came to a large cage, where he saw two giant lanterns inside.
Naruto took two more steps forward and saw the true form of the Nine-Tails Demon Fox.
Seeing Naruto, the Nine-Tailed curled its lip and said to him in a tempting voice, "Brat! You've come! Come over here! Walk a bit closer."
Naruto looked at the Nine-Tails, caught between laughter and tears, and said, "Why walk closer? To scare me? You can't even get out of the cage, what's the use of scaring me?"
Hearing Naruto's words, the Nine-Tails glared fiercely at him and let out a wild roar, making Naruto's clothes flutter loudly.
After the Nine-Tails finished roaring, Naruto said with a smile, "Alright, stop roaring. There's no need to be so irritable for our first meeting. My name is Naruto, Uzumaki Naruto! What about you? Do you have a name?"
