In a dark room a young man can be seen in a computer playing a game. He was an otaku named Drake Martinez. Living with his parents at 28 and working at a warehouse.
His parents would sometimes advise him to get a girlfriend but he has refused repeatedly. Not because he was ugly or anything simply because he hasn't the any girl that he like.
Besides dating in 2026 was tricky since you didn't know if the girl you were courting was actually a girl.
Suddenly while playing his game Ark Survival Evolved, a pop up notification appeared on his computer screen.
[Would you like to travel to another world?]
[Yes/ No]
Drake raised an eyebrow, intrigued he click yes out of curiosity after reading the text.
Soon another text arrived:
[Which world and timelinewould you like to travel to?]
[Note: I can be any world from anime, novels, movies or video games]
'Any world huh' Drake thought.
He was a fan of anything with a "Fantasy" tag in it. He was conflicted and thought for a few minutes and decided to write:

After clicking sent. Another text appeared instantly:

Drake saw the options and thought that they were the most famous system in the fanfics he has read. He felt that the three were powerful or useless depending on luck.
After thinking for a while he chose the gacha system hoping to get a generous gacha system.
Anther text popped up after clicking gacha system:
[Would you like to travel with your current body? Or reincarnate and have a new identity?]

'Why am I even doing this?' Drake thought after reading the texts. Even if there was a chance this was real he didn't feel right leaving his parents behind.
As if sensing his worries another note appeared on the screen:
[Second Note: If you travel with your body you're parent can also be brought with you. But his memories will be altered to make them believed they always lived there and new identities will be given to them.]
'Did it read my mind?' Drake thought a little frightened thinking some cosmic being was reading his mind. But he soon calmed down and thought that perhaps this was an opportunity.
He typed, "To travel with my body" and clicked sent.

After the text, Drake waited for a minute but..
Nothing happened.
"Figures" he grumbled and continued playing his game. He played for another two hours until midnight and decided to turn it off since he had to get up at 4:00 am to go to work.
After getting ready to sleep, he thought one last time about the questions he answered earlier, he shook his head and quietly felt asleep.
After Drake felt asleep, a white light cover his body and he suddenly disappeared from the world. Similarly at Drake's parent room, Mr and Mrs Martinez were covered with a white light and disappeared from the world.

Drake woke up and immediately noticed something was wrong. His alarm didn't awaken him and he felt strangely good. The sore muscles and stiff neck he usually has was gone and there some information being injected in his memories like a movie.
It was the knowledge of this world and the time he has been here. Apparently he was back to 18 years old and was a senior at Midtown School at Queens, New York and it was January 15, 2008.
His parents have also turned 10 years younger and have good jobs. His father is a managing editor at the Daily Bugle and his mother is a nurse in the Metro-General Hospital.
They owned a modest apartment in Queens and were actually neighbors with Miles Morales' family.
'I see, this must be a different universe than in the movies'
Drake got off the bed and walked to the mirror, he looked exactly like when he was 18 years old. Black hair, brown eyes, average face, average height and skinny. His hair was bushy and messy like someone who hasn't comb in years. His skin was tanned due to his latino heritage.
Just as he was looking at himself in the mirror, a floating window with a message appeared in front of him:

'Number two' Drake thought selecting the second choice decisively. He knew that quality was better than quantity.
Another message appeared after making his choice:
[ Please choose the cooldown time for every gacha. It has to be longer than one day. The longer the cooldown the better the rewards you might get.]
After reading the message, Drake thought deeply about it. If he chose a big number and didn't get something good he might screw himself over. But if it was short and still didn't get something good he would be doomed anyway.
Following that logic, he decided to go all out. For better rewards he chose 1,000 years cooldown.

[ I will now explain how to use your system. By thinking the word 'system' you'll be taken to the system main interface. You'll find three color loot crates, green, blue and red. 'Everything seems to be fine. Thank you' Drake thought, thanking whoever brought him here and gave him this opportunity. Well he didn't know if it was an opportunity or if he was doomed. He'll know after opening his gachas.
Drake looked at the cloak, it was 7:00 am and it was Saturday. His parents were probably asleep. He felt it was a now or never to open those gacha crates.
'System' he thought and a translucent white window appeared before him. The three gacha crates looked like video game loot boxes. Under each box, there was a bottom with the word open.
'Goddesses of luck, please bless me' Drake prayed before opening the green gacha. There was no ripples or colorful shows. The window just proceeded to show me everything I got one by one. I got eight items this time.
