"I'm surprised you got out of there alive" said Noir as they exited the castle of Guy Crimson on the frozen continent. It was a harrowing experience for sure, but it did seem to gain an 'ally' of sorts. "I never thought I would confront a demon and live" said Blake as he held a hand to his chest, the pressure from the situation just now beginning to seep out of his body. "Yeah, he did seem strong. I had a feeling he was hiding most of his strength" said Ddraig. "I don't doubt, demons are a crafty bunch" said Blake as Noir laughed. "We do tend to be shrewd, but we do follow contracts" said Noir as he now stared at Blake, his new potential master. "You said you could grant what I wished if I helped you?" said Noir, reminding Blake of their deal. "I did, what is it you want?" asked Blake.
"You seemed to be an interesting master, and thus I wish to serve you for one. I would also like a name" said Noir as Blake looked at him weirdly. "Is your name not noir?" asked Blake as Noir shook his head. "No, its more of a placeholder, it also symbolizes my color lineage" said Noir. "What happens if I name you? The fact you weren't just names willy nilly seems to indicate something is special about it" said Blake. Noir laughed and was quite happy that the person he was about to serve had some smarts to him. "By naming a monster, one uses the magicules to name the being and thus establish a connection more deep than even blood, it is something you shouldn't do without thinking" said Noir and Blake understood. He remembered hearing about how names had power, and in many cultures knowing a persons name granted them power over that person.
"Not an unfamiliar concept, there were many cultures where I came from that held names in special importance. But, it seems mighty inconvenient to refer to you as Noir, it just is barebones for a name that's a color" said Blake and thus decided to try and come up with names for Noir. 'Something demonic, something to do with the color black' Blake thought as various names were thought up. Diablo, Kuro, and even Lucifer was a thought, but he did not want to use that name. 'Diablo sounds good enough, I think it means devil doesn't it? Its also a video game that my brother played' Blake thought and decided that Diablo would be good enough.
"I name thee Diablo" said Blake as a wealth of magical power gathered in a cocoon around Diablo. As the cocoon released, Diablo was on a whole other level. His aura was noticeably bigger and his form was noticeably more refined and elegant. "Wow, such an upgrade, I bet I could beat Guy if I trained for a few" chuckled Diablo. "whew, that was a lot of energy to expend" sighed Blake. "Can you summon more?" asked Ddraig as Blake nodded. "The ability to summon anything means anything after all" smiled Blake. "You just seem more and more interesting, on the same level of that champion from years ago" muttered Diablo.
"Champion? What's there name?" asked Blake. "Shizue Izawa if I remember right, she had a strange mask that seemed twisted in time" said Diablo, smiling as if he was recalling a fine memory.
"Shizue, was she an otherworlder?" asked Blake as Diablo shrugged. "Who knows, though her name does lend credence to the idea so its highly likely" said Diablo. "If we encounter her I would love to have a conversation with her" said Blake.
As the conversation winded down and the deals being met out, the concern was now on where to go. Finding a place to settle would be nice, a good forest. "What about the Forest of Jura? Its a spot that's guarded by Veldoras presence, so it should be a decent place to settle, and your strength would deter most monsters" said Diablo. Blake took some time to consider this and decided it was at least a decent idea to try out. So he hopped on Ddraig who grew to his normal, gigantic size and we flew towards where Diablo pointed which was somewhere south of the ice continent.
"What can you tell me about the continent were going to?" asked Blake. "The name of the continent is the Magic Continent, and is populated by a variety of kingdoms that ruled by Demon Lords and Humans and various other races like elves and dwarves. The region we are going to is surrounded by nations like the Western Nations, Blumund, and even the Armed Nation of Dwargon" said Diablo who seemingly conjured an illusory map for them to see. "The region I recommended was the Forest of Jura here, and there should be spots where you can settle and build/summon a home."
"Yeah, I should probably just summon a house, and the idea of an ice castle like Guys isn't entirely pleasing either, maybe a log cabin with an extended space inside" said Blake. They were in the air for a while, and Blake took in the breeze until a big landmass began to enter their eyesight. "Wow, what a continent" said Blake as he saw a new landmass that he never would have found if he was in the otherworld, and it gave him a sense of satisfaction to this new life and offered a prayer to God and the angels that gave him this chance.
"Hey master, can you calm the light?" asked Diablo as he shielded his eyes. Blake opened his eyes and saw he was surrounded by glorious light. "Huh, I bet that's what Raphael meant that prayer would affect the magic in this world" said Blake as he concluded his prayer with an amen and the light began to vanish. "I believe there should be a spot right there" pointed out Diablo as they descended onto a clearing in the forest that was full of green with a clear view of the sun and sky.
"Well, I suppose we should settle here" said Blake as he called upon his power and manifested a cabin upon this land and he made sure there was an extended space inside. He then summoned a barrier around the space to offer protection as they settled inside their new home.
