After the battle — dusk.
Inside the conference room at Jujutsu High.
"Gojo, don't take it too hard."
Masamichi Yaga spoke in a low voice:
"If it weren't for you, everyone from Kyoto—and the students—might already be dead."
Even Utahime Iori, who usually couldn't stand Gojo, spoke up unusually:
"Yeah, Gojo. That guy Sukui is definitely talking nonsense."
"Hey! Don't look so down—that's not like you, you idiot!"
"Down?"
Leaning against the doorway, Satoru Gojo raised a hand and smiled:
"It's rare for someone that strong to show up…"
"I'm thrilled, if anything. Why would I feel down?"
He had long believed that the jujutsu world no longer had anyone who could rival him.
Even the development of Limitless and his own strength had hit a bottleneck.
Thinking back to their brief clash that morning—and the technique he had "borrowed" from the future to heal technique burnout—
Gojo grinned.
"Didn't expect that fake-smile guy to be hiding so much… makes me wonder when our next fight will be."
Sitting off to the side, Kento Nanami adjusted his glasses, grumbling internally.
Work is crap.
Being a jujutsu sorcerer is crap.
Having one lunatic like Gojo was already troublesome enough—
and now there's another one: Zen'in Mirai.
Nanami found himself questioning whether returning to Jujutsu High had been the right choice.
At this rate, the jujutsu world was not going to stay peaceful.
Noticing Yoshinobu Gakuganji's scrutinizing gaze,
Mei Mei brushed her hair aside and chuckled:
"Indeed. I didn't expect the Zen'in clan head to be that strong either."
"Old man, you can stop staring."
Gojo turned to Gakuganji:
"Miss Mei Mei isn't with that fake-smile guy's group… right?"
From the corner of the room, a weakened White Zetsu bared his sharp teeth:
"Yep, yep. That's right."
"Mei Mei and that brat Mirai just like each other—nothing to do with us."
Mei Mei smiled faintly, replying calmly:
"I do like the Zen'in clan head… the payment he provides."
"And he's quite satisfied with my work collecting cursed spirits. So in a way, you're not wrong."
She had agreed not to reveal too much—but she had no intention of getting herself labeled an enemy by Jujutsu High.
After all, she didn't have the overwhelming strength Zen'in Mirai did—
the kind that could ignore even Gojo himself.
"White Zetsu… that fake-smile guy is still hiding quite a bit, isn't he?"
As soon as Gojo said that, the room fell tense again.
Even accounting for the students being a burden,
Zen'in Mirai's performance earlier already proved he was on Gojo's level.
And he was still holding back?
Everyone turned toward White Zetsu.
"You're pretty sharp, Gojo-sensei."
White Zetsu counted on his fingers:
"The Ten Shadows Technique counts as one."
"An unknown Special Grade cursed spirit—that's another."
"He didn't even use a Maximum Technique."
"And most importantly…"
"My trump card—me—wasn't even used."
"And there's more…"
After counting down all five fingers, he shook his head.
"Honestly, that kid has a lot of hidden cards."
He casually revealed trivial information—
but said nothing about the truly important secrets.
Looking at everyone's shocked expressions, he smacked his lips:
"By the way… what he said before leaving—
about wanting you to become stronger—he meant it."
"Heh."
"Calling me weak?"
Gojo held his forehead and laughed.
"Being treated like small fry…
what a ridiculous feeling."
"Alright, Ijichi—just say it."
Gojo turned his head:
"What happened at the Star Corridor? This guy might know more than we do."
Hearing that, Kiyotaka Ijichi glanced at White Zetsu with a complicated expression, then stood up to report:
"First, the casualties."
"Five Grade 2 sorcerers, three semi-Grade 1, one Grade 1."
"Seven assistant supervisors, and two repository guards."
"Based on Shoko's examination and residual cursed energy at the scene…"
He glanced at Nanami.
"It's confirmed that one of the perpetrators is the stitched-face cursed spirit Nanami encountered before."
"There are also traces of ice-based cursed energy—likely another attacker's technique."
"As for whether there were additional intruders… that remains uncertain."
Yaga took over solemnly:
"The attackers were extremely fast. Even a Grade 1 sorcerer was practically killed instantly."
"By the time I arrived, they had already withdrawn."
"Not only that…"
Ijichi nervously glanced at Yaga and flipped a page:
"Special-grade cursed objects…"
"Six of Sukuna's fingers stored at the school have been stolen."
"And also the Special Grade cursed objects—the Death Painting Wombs…"
"All nine have been taken."
"What?!"
Gakuganji's brows twitched.
"Didn't Master Tengen detect the intrusion?"
"Even if it were sorcerers—how could cursed spirits pass through the barrier?"
Gojo casually fiddled with the bandage near his eye:
"Probably that Special Grade cursed spirit the fake-smile guy crushed earlier."
"Tengen's barrier isn't really for protection—it's for concealment."
"That spirit's aura felt like something between a plant and a spirit."
"Maybe its technique allowed them to disguise their presence and slip inside."
He glanced at White Zetsu.
"Well? Is that something you can share, or do you need permission first?"
"No need for tricks. That much doesn't matter."
White Zetsu replied plainly:
"It was the Sukuna finger you brought back before—someone placed a tracking barrier inside its sealing talisman."
Then he turned to Yaga:
"Next time, don't just stash dangerous stuff like that in storage. Keeping it with me would be safer."
"Seems like your group has quite a skilled barrier user."
White Zetsu smiled—but said nothing.
"Come on, tell us~"
Gojo exaggerated his tone playfully:
"If you think that fake-smile guy is so strong, sharing a bit more info shouldn't matter, right~?"
Everyone silently twitched.
Clearly, there was no need to worry about Gojo being discouraged.
He was still the same unserious idiot.
"I already answered one question."
White Zetsu looked at Gojo:
"Your turn. Who came up with the idea to monitor your own students?"
"That doesn't sound like something you'd do."
Without even a moment's hesitation, Gojo replied:
"The head of the Kamo clan."
