The curse evolves. Any ill intent directed at Elle is sensed, at which point it activates. Firstly, it conveys to her what exactly the intent was. Then, it begins to kill and seed the corpse with memories. Finally, anyone killed this way is resurrected, with the new memories gaining primacy over the old.
This effectively overwrites them with Elle's value and motivation system while still allowing her access to their memories and skills.
It's really hard to bypass an intent-based mechanism like this. It's made harder by the curse being alive and aware enough to adapt to the thoughts of its host and adjust itself accordingly.
The curse is immutable in its permanence and cannot be fucked with or removed by any outside parties. Attempts only cause it to latch on and spread to said parties.
The curse's name is Angel. After a brief window where she was neglecting the safety of her own pattern, she realizes her own importance and protects herself first.
Anyone who touches Elle's family immediately suffers irreversible, severe brain damage, core memory loss, and blindness. They begin bleeding from every pore until they die and do not resurrect. There is no coming back from this: you touch her family, it's all over for you. This part is retroactive. If you touched any of her family members with ill intent in the past, you suffer horribly until you die. The same goes for any of her friends.
Nobody infected by the curse is able to tell anyone else about it except if they intend to spread it. Any intent to talk about it in order to remove or hamper Angel is blocked before it can begin. Trying to spread Angel while also attempting to make her existence known to someone who would do something she would consider unwanted is blocked.
