A knock sounded against the cellar door.
Anthony opened his eyes. "Come in."
The door opened, revealing his brother. Unlike him, he possessed a calm and calculating aura, with messy black hair and broad shoulders.
His gaze moved from Anthony to the bottle, then to the glass in his hand. "You have been home less than an hour."
Anthony said nothing.
His brother leaned against the doorway, amusement slowly appearing upon his face. "I was beginning to wonder whether London had finally exhausted you."
"It has."
"That is unfortunate. You have only just returned."
Anthony poured himself another drink.
His brother watched him for a moment. "Should I ask why?"
"No."
"Excellent."
Anthony gave him a flat look.
His brother only smiled. "I was hoping you might have returned from your travels with a newfound appreciation for respectable behaviour."
"I do hope you were disappointed."
"Immensely."
Anthony almost smiled.
